We moved out approximately 6 months ago for the first time. Our letting agency would not provide us details to prepare for the move and insisted we go through these guys. Our letting agent advised that they’ve been provided all the details of what the property has and what we can get etc. Where it was the first time moving out I got bit nervous and wanted everything sorted for the move. I chose to use them for WiFi and energy. You can just use comparison websites to get cheaper deals and do once you’re in the property. I was a little naive and thought you needed it all sorted before moving. They said our electric bill would be £75 with SO Energy and that’s now doubled. Just to clarify they knew it was 2 people moving in and working from home occasionally. We’re money savers and very rarely even put the heating on and ensure no electric is wasted. SO energy is not a good energy company. My thoughts were I could cancel the electric as I would have been within a cooling off period. I wanted to check the contract and prices agreed which never come through. I had to chase up SO Energy direct to make sure everything was ok and turns out they were provided the wrong email which made me miss the cooling off period. Now we’re locked into a 2 year contract. On the phone they gave me the electric price and I asked for it a little later so i could write it down and check it’s a good rate, but they could no longer provide. They signed me up with sky which I could have easily got cheaper going directly through them(shows on comparison websites). They signed us up for a service we could not receive with sky due to us renting and them having to fit stuff. We were advised they’re aware of what we can get and our details. One good thing is they managed to get the wifi activated sooner, but that was just where I’d left a little late to arrange directly with sky. If you are rich, don’t need to budget, and want an easy move, then these guys are for you. The advisors are friendly, obviously it’s there job so there not gonna be rude. I expect there is some commission involved somewhere.

I didn't even contact this company, or give permission for my details to be passed on, however, they somehow got hold of them from my agent and they have been ringing relentlessly and will not stop NUMEROUS times a day after telling them I will be doing this all myself and to remove me from their data base.
They have absolutely no intention of helping you or making life at home easier/cheaper, they just want you to be pressured into their services to earn a commission I assume.
I NEVER write reviews as I think they are pointless but I am furious at the way they handle data and how they will not remove me from their system even though I don't want their shambles services! This is just absolutely unbelievable to me, STOP CONTACTING ME!!!

Despite a long, late night call, my Sky broadband order did not successfully complete and I had to redo the conversation again a few days after.

I spent an hour on the phone, setting up Sky Broadband, TV and Phone for my new address. The delivery of the start up kit was supposed to be 28/3/25, yet Sky tried to deliver early on 2 occasions, and I had to move the date forward myself. Today, I have received notification that it has been cancelled without my knowledge, and before I even set up a Sky account. So my question is, who has authorised a cancellation on my behalf and why?? In fact, how?? I did not set up an account yet, so who would be able to access my details and cancel it down?? I am still expecting to have these Sky services activated on 28/3/25, when we move in and set it up. Please confirm that this will be the case, and that the kit will be delivered on 28/3/25.

Terrible experience and I Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy. Hopefully my comments here will help others be on their guard.
I dealt with tennant shop for setting up the energy providers. Overall, The process was confusing and long winded (2 x ~1hour of phone calls). In the end I wound up changing whatever tarrifs they set up to something else, which meant talking to the energy providers anyway so this didn't help me with the set up at all.
Some specific examples to give you an idea of what I endured.
* One of the first questions they ask to give you a hypothetical energy usage and then extoll the saving you'll get, is what type of property are you living in (semi detached, detached, terraced). I think they asked lead up questions so for whatever reason when they actually asked me the type of property I replied semi-detached . They flat out told me no, it's a terraced house. And I spent five minutes arguing with them that I was in a semi detached while they insisted that it was a terrace. I have never had anyone contest the type of property like that before. they were almost belligerent about it and I simply don't understand why.
* They then asked a lot of information about the property and my details to give me options (this took about 20 minutes) on what tarrifs are available. They read the entire block of information over the phone and they would often backtrack to correct themselves. Such as "this is a 16 month tariff with so energy. No I'm sorry it's a 24 month tarrifs". "This is fixed tarrifs with British gas, no I'm sorry it's a standard variable tariff," so by the time they went through all the options without taking a breath I was utterly confused. I asked them (this now a 45 minute phone call and I had other things to do) if they could send me the details on email (which I had painstakingly spelt out to them already), and which they begrudgingly allowed. I had to be very firm with them, they kept saying "oh no it will only be 1 minute to go through the options" and they took five minutes to explain everything again (poorly as before). They just would not get off the phone.
* The callback was even worse, they went through all the options again just as poorly as before, so again this took 20 minutes. And I had legitimate questions they refused to answer. I asked where is the email with the details and they said they had sent it and to check the spam folder. Which I did and nothing was there, so I asked them to send it so I can at least look at the rates, and they just completely ignored me and went through all the rates again. By now I heard about the SO energy tarrifs for the fourth time and I still didn't understand what I was getting.
* I asked perfectly legitimate questions such as, I have an existing account and tarrifs what happens to the exit fees attached to that? And they just went back to the script and reread all the tarrifs again
* They were increasingly rude and just did not want to deal with me as a person but they were adamant they were going to change my energy provider.
* By the end of this I felt so bullied and confused, I just said yes to everything so that they would leave me alone.
* They put me on a substandard tarrifs anyway, which I changed a day or so later when I wasn't feeling so upset.
I can go on and on but you get the idea.
Absolutely rubbish. Avoid. I shudder every time I think about it.
