Excellent claims process but they doubled my premium and withdrew cover on my other vehicle!

When I had a collision the claim was handled efficiently. The car was repaired without any problem. Everything ran very smoothly from the claims point of view. However after the accident the AA decided to withdraw cover on my other vehicle and I had to desperately hunt for another policy which bizarrely turned out to be also with the AA.
The insurance premiums were doubled on both cars even though only one car had been involved in a collision.

Insurance claim through AA.

I was claiming on my insurance through the AA. I was well supported by the AA staff I spoke to, making the claim process less stressful. Very glad I had the best insurance cover, providing a like-for-like vehicle for over 3 weeks while mine was being repaired. (But Europcar, who provided it, were dreadful! The car was ok but dealing with them was hopeless. Not delivered on time, then not picked up for 6 days after I got my own car back! Could not get hold of Europcar at all. AA please note!)
If I had any problems or queries, there was always AA help at the end of the phone and they helped sort out the Europcar incompetence. Thanks AA.

Quick and Efficient

Claim was dealt with quickly and efficiently - personal contact whenever required was friendly informative and efficient. Some delay with repair due to availability of parts but this was mainly due to my requirement for genuine parts.

Very satisfied with the AA help with my claim, the one thing that I was a bit disappointed with was the time it took for the vehicle to get repaired ( three months) although that was not the AA fault it was the repairer

Stress free procees

AA handled claim very well at all stages. Helpful and stress free. The car repair was 1st class. Only let down by hire car suppliers (Europcar) car ok but service and collection very poor.
