Absolutely awful, don’t EVER use AA accident assist!
I called the AA following hitting a pot hole, they advised me to use there AA assist programme and I would not have to do anything myself, was told they would recover the car, speak with my insurance, do the claim give me a hire car id have to do nothing.
Oh how wrong, they picked my car up 2 days later still no hire car called up to chase for them to tell me I should have called my insurance and made a claim! Called my insurance made the claim they put extra excess of £500 on top because I hadn’t gone through them! Called AA back up who have said that I don’t need to worry about that as they have a contract with steer and they absorb the cost of it!
This was way over a month I still haven’t got my car back and steer group called me today to say the car is NEARLY done but I have to pay them £750 excess! Erm no I don’t AA told me you sort the extra and guess what they said no we don’t!
I’m now trying to get hold of AA which I haven’t been able to!
This is effected my mental health and I’ve been lied to and missold so much it’s terrible service!

Very easy to report and everything that was promised actually happened and/or was done when it should have been

I chose AA as a which best buy. Had a recent accident ( not my fault) which the AA dealt with from my first call to them. A replacement was delivered next day and all repairs were done to a high standard. It was great to be able to call them on several occasions and be able to speak to a human being!

The fact that I rang AA and was immediately talking to someone from what appears a separate company AAA. The company repairing my vehicle drove it to and from my home. Around 50 miles. Why not collect with a low loader? Never knew what time the collect and delivery would take place. So poor communication in my opinion!

Could not fault the AA I would recommend them.

Excellent service from start to finish. Very friendly staff who dealt with my accident claim in super quick time. My car was in for repair and courtesy car provided within 24 hours. Very professional service and highly recommended.
