The people of Ryde (IOW) are very fortunate to have a much needed professional Ear Specialist in their town centre. Simon Harrison’s clinic has up-to-date high tech equipment which is very gentle on the ear area, he listens to the clients problems and usually in a short time understands what is causing the ear trouble. He is very thorough in explaining the diagnosis and if needed sends out further information PDF (e.mail). Excellent service, so pleased to hear he has opened another much needed Clinic in Cowes.

I have had hearing challenges most of my life, which got worse in the army, I’ve relied on lip reading, guessing and have the tv on full volume. I’m now in my 60’s and decided to see if something could be done if anything! Early December (2024) I walked into “The Ear Specialist” Ryde just to pick up a card. Simon came out to me and we chatted. In all my years I have never received such a fantastic customer service, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable attitude. I explained my situation and that I’m actually going away in a few days to visit family. Simon arranged an ear test that afternoon, after the test my hearing was found to be severely bad, we talked through options and we ordered a pair of hearing aids. This all happened on a Thursday, I went back in on the following Wednesday for fitting, 2 days before I was leaving for the mainland. WOW. Amazing not just the speed of service but the whole experience. The best part is. I can hear. Simon sent me away and set up a follow up meeting for my return. The tv goes no higher that 20 now and without the subtitles on, I don't have to lip read or second guess a conversation. Simon is an amazing, fantastic person, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and changed my life. Thank you so much to “The Hear Specialist” and especially to Simon. 100% recommendations

I am very pleased with the service that had been offered to me, and did make a vast difference to my hearing coming back.
I will most definitely be going back there for future ear syringing services. Another good thing about this service, no need for 10 to 14 days prior having to put drops into ears. Making it so much easier for making appointments when you believe you have an issue with your hearing.

Very caring approach and took time to evaluate my hearing with a health check. My hearing is so much better since the removal of the wax.
