Interesting shop

Interesting shop. Has a wide array of fragrances including my favourite CK Reveal that was discontinued. Worth the visit for first class scents at affordable prices.

Great Prices & Customer Service

Really a pleasure to do business with! I ordered a perfume and cologne, they were the originals, still in packaging, and we love them! I had purchased the EDP instead of EDT in the cologne, and the customer service (to return it and purchase the correct scent) was a breeze. Highly recommend!

The inperson service at The Fragrance…

The inperson service at The Fragrance Shop is great, the guys are very knowledgeable and helpful. I can only give my personal opinion about the inperson service as I have not tried their online service. I belive that TheFragranceshop.ca new arrivals page would benefit from sorting the items by arrival date and not by alphabetical order, also having a simple enter your email and we will notify you when the item you are looking for is back in stock option would be great. Futhermore implementing a points rewards option for loyal frequent customer would be great too to entice customers to shop at the fragranceshop as some of the local competitors already have that….just my 2 cents…hopefully that Rayhaan Crimson comes in soon….

Faulty product turned to blackmail

Faulty product turned to blackmail

TL;DR: Company said they would only provide me a partial refund for a faulty product on the condition I removed a negative review.

Less than a month ago I purchased a perfume from this company. Over the last few weeks the perfume scent has been degrading to the point where when I applied it today it had nearly no scent. I have never had this happen with a perfume. I called them to discuss options, the most they were willing to offer was 15$ store credit so I could get free shipping but pay full price for a new bottle. I accepted as they did not seem option to discussion, but then posted a review of my experience which was negative.

They called me after seeing my review and berated me. They first threatened to block my account and IP for posting a negative review. Then complained about scammers demanding refunds from them, but then complained that I was the one who accepted the 15$ store credit so not getting a better refund was my fault because I did not barter with him? I offered to accept the loss of shipping cost if they would be willing to give me a refund for the product. They refused, offering a 25$ partial refund on the explicit condition that I remove my review, telling me verbatim that they would not refund me if I do not take it down. I refused. They indicated that we were both losing out now - me money and them because of a negative review. They also indicated that store credit to them is the same as a refund because "they lose money", but then try to only do minimal store credit instead of providing refunds. I would of been happy to update my review on my own given a positive interaction and even a partial refund, but I will not be threatened into submission over a 25$ refund on a 40$ perfume +15$ shipping.

I have never in my life gotten into an argument like this with a company. Hostile is a gentle word for their customer service, especially if you voice your experience publicly.

Initially, you told us you didn't like the product, then mentioned the smell was different after a month. When we declined the return due to the 14-day return period, you stated that the bottle arrived frozen. In such a case, you should have contacted us immediately, not after a month.

We have clear policies in place that you agreed to when making your purchase. You can't provide three different explanations just to try and make a return when one doesn't work. Despite this, we still offered you the option to return the item, but you refused and requested a full refund without returning the product. I'm sorry, but this is not how things work in the industry.

It also appears you tried using a tool to bypass the process, but unfortunately, that didn't work out. We truly apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong. Never got the product. Wrong shipping label caused a lot of confusion and prevented delivery. Finally it was sent to the Walmart store (as it was supposed to) and I was asked to go pick it up. Email said I had to pick up by January 5. I went on January 2 and Walmart couldn't find it. Said it was received Dec. 11 (untrue) and that order had expired so they sent it back to sender. I talked to the shipper (Landmark), the delivery company (Apple Express), and Walmart in an attempt to determine the problem (wrong shipping label) and to get the product (a Christmas gift). Thankfully I was at least refunded. Just an all around very poor experience.
