Frazer was utterly fantastic
Frazer was utterly fantastic. His singing and enthusiasm was infectious. I would take the same tour again if Frazer was our guide. Brilliant 🤩
Great experience
Great experience!
Well coordinated from start of the tour until the end.
Our driver/guide Garry was absolutely brilliant in providing the very detailed history of Scotland, specifically, those landmarks within our tour.
Worth the price we paid for, will definitely recommend them and book another tour from hairy coo.

Great experience
Great experience and an amazing thing to do if you want a real taste of the high lands. Fraser showed us beautiful sights, told us some great stories and showed us some hidden gems that weren’t even included in the tour. Will definitely come back for another tour!

We had a brilliant trip to Loch Ness…
We had a brilliant trip to Loch Ness and the Highlands. Neil, our driver and tour guide was brilliant. Kept us amused throughout and was very kind to my daughter who did not feel well. It was worth every penny!
I went to Loch Ness and The Highlands
I went to Loch Ness, Glencoe, The Highlands, and Pitlochary with Nick from Hairy Coos. Nick was very knowledgeable, extremely caring as we had a couple of passengers on the bus with motion sickness and he dealt with the passengers with sensitivity, and he had a jolly good sense of humour with a lot of knowledge about Scottish history. I had a grand day out. Thanks Nick 😀
Loch Ness trip
Our guide Nick was excellent, great storyteller. The views were amazing, during the tour we were able to see a lot of interesting things and places. Recommendations by the guide about restaurants was great

The 5 day tour was simply amazing
The 5 day tour was simply amazing. The views were absolutely breathtaking and no pictures could properly due it justice. I genuinely believe that this tour was amazing as it was due to our tour guide, Fraser. His energy was positive, his storytelling was top tier, his passion for his job and Scotland was obvious, and his knowledge was never ending. I truly learned so much. If you get the opportunity to have Fraser as your guide, you are incredibly lucky. It was also great getting to share this experience with others from all around the world. 10/10 reccomend and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Best time of my life
Had an absolutely wonderful 5 Day tour with The Hairy Coos! Our guide Fraser was excellent and kept us all well informed and entertained with his fantastic storytelling ability and knowledge.
We saw the most incredible sights and went on the most stunning walks to places so old and historic it just blows your mind that you can stand in these places.
It sounds exaggerated but it’s true, something about the Highlands has changed something in me.
I would do this exact tour all over again in a heartbeat.

Great tour!
It was amazing! I booked the 5 day tour of the highlands and I could be not happier. The guide, Frasir, was very enthusiastic, entertaining and very knowledgeable. You get to see the most beautiful places in the highlands: the big highlights, but also local spots. I can highly recommend them. I will definitely book with them again!
This was one of the most concerning…
This was one of the most concerning guided tour experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world.
Our biggest concern was the driver’s behavior and professionalism. He repeatedly mentioned that he could not multitask and had a very low tolerance for any conversation while driving, which made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable for a long, 12-hour tour. Even more troubling, we could see him in the rearview mirror frequently picking his nose and wiping his face throughout the trip, which was unhygienic and difficult to ignore. At times, his demeanor and behavior made us question whether he was fully fit for the job.
Another major issue was his habit of vaping directly in front of the bus door at every stop. He wouldn’t step aside, forcing guests to walk through the vapor to exit and re-enter the bus. It felt inconsiderate and unprofessional, and it made us question whether stops were being extended for guest experience or for his personal breaks.
While he did attempt some storytelling and humor, it often lacked structure and clarity. Stories would start without clear direction and end abruptly, making it hard to stay engaged. More importantly, his overall tone came across as grumpy and unapproachable, as if he didn’t enjoy working with people.
We understand that managing a large group requires firmness, but there’s a difference between being organized and making guests feel unwelcome.
To be fair, he did drive safely and seemed knowledgeable about the routes and drop-off points. The destinations themselves were beautiful and worthwhile—but they were the only redeeming part of the experience.
If it weren’t for the locations we visited, this would easily be a one-star tour.
Fair warning: it’s worth spending a bit more for a different company or a smaller group tour. You’ll likely have a far more enjoyable and comfortable experience.

I chose this specific tour because I am not fluent in the language and trusted that a guide would not only drive but also provide support, so it was a disappointment. Her name is Louise, and she drives an orange bus. She is actually from Scotland but did not make a real effort to be understandable. Worse, when she talked with someone not fluent in English, she made no effort to understand them.
I demonstrated many times that I did not understand the instructions, and she had no patience to repeat them. At one point, we stopped at a castle, and I said (again), 'I don't understand what we have to do here.' She just said that it was not recommended to buy tickets. I understood that there was a 25-minute parade, so I used that time.
When I returned, she was already about to leave. My husband ran to the bus, explaining that I have knee problems, so I cannot run. Then, she came to me and started yelling at me in front of everyone. It was so embarrassing; the rest of the passengers barely enjoyed the last attraction. If you see her, run."
