Great customer service.... really attentive and helpful over a Royal Mail delay....not their fault, but Sarah kept me thoroughly informed and updated.

I messaged Vicki on Facebook for some bitting advice for my dressage horse and she spent so much time and took a lot of care in understanding what I wanted to achieve & my horses needs. As a result she has put us in both a snaffle and a double which he feels totally super in. Thank you so much Vicki!

I called the horsebit shop to hire a bit and spoke to a wondeful knowledgeable lady called vicky, what vicky does not know is unbelievable I was reccomended a hanging cheek med port bit to try on my cob as she had a high headcarriage and would not come in to an outline was an ex driving pony, with continuning lessons with my instructor & schooling at home durring the trial period, my mare is finally listening to my aids and is now producing a rounded outline and acceptance of the bit. I highly reccomend this company for ongoing support durring the trial period and would reccomend to my friends if needed.

I've been working with Vicki over the past 6 weeks to find a bitting solution for my very sensitive PRE. His bitting needs seem to change regularly and Vicki has been incredibly supportive in getting me to a good solution. The trial facility is really useful to really test out what works and what doesn't and it's very simple to return a bit and move onto the next option. Highly recommended.

I rang Vicki regarding bitting my young cob/connemara mare. I have been with horses for 55 years but Vicki pointed a bit to try out on her which has worked a treat. She's now relaxed and responsive.Vicki will spend the time to reassure you that you are heading in the right direction and is happy to be there if things change.

I cannot rate the horse bit shop enough!! I have contacted Vicki several times with issues my pony has been having and she has given me amazing advice time and time again!! Vicki is my first port of call for any bitting issues I am having. Vicki is happy to offer advice and different options to fit within a budget. Truly a wonderful lady who gives amazing advice would highly recommend to anyone

I can’t recommend the horse bit shop enough. Vicki came out to us to find a bit for our recently backed 4 year old as he was having problems with the one we were using. Vicki was so lovely and helpful and spent a lot of time finding the right bit for him. She was so knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information. Our boy was definitely happier with the bit she had chosen for him at the end of the clinic. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again 😊

I can’t recommend the Horse Bit Shop highly enough. Vicki has spent hours on the phone with me helping me choose a bit for my tricky young horse. She was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful. Great service.

Just got my second bit from The Horse Bit Shop. My first bit I purchase, my horse was having trouble settling into the contact but also, can be quite strong at times. I needed a snaffle for dressage so was stuck where to go. Emma recommended a sprenger bit I wasn't familiar with and my horse went to regionals and nationals that year.

I have just purchase my second bit from them. Now the same horse is a little stronger and more confident we had the opposite problem and had a little nose poking. We won both our classes yesterday in our new bit and horse was much happier and more ridable too! They know their stuff. I would recommend!

I have had many bits over the years from the Horse Bit Shop thanks to owning a succession of super sensitive divas, the service is always fantastic and my orders have always been sent out very quickly
When I called most recently for some bitting advice, I was astounded that I was recommended to try a much cheaper bit than the one I had in mind, and when it came, low and behold, my horse absolutely loved it and went beautifully in it

As a professional rider I can’t rate these guys highly enough 🤩 used them many times over the years with different horses. Their easy to talk to, understand the horses way of going/ anatomy and just all round great service.

Vicki spent hours with me and my horse. Nothing was too much trouble. She was very patient and knowledgeable. We must have tried every dressage legal bit in the shop. I ended up taking two as my horse liked both and bought both eventually. A few years later, I needed a stronger bit for jumping so telephoned Vicki and asking many questions, she recommended a bit which arrived in the post the very next day. I have recommended Vicki to many friends and would not hesitate to return there myself. An excellent service!

Vicki bitted my strong and sensitive mouthed warmblood/Arabian. He has gone from a horse who would lean heavily on any contact to a super soft mouthed relaxed and happy boy, by taking the advice “less is more” and using softer easier bits he’s a different horse. Couldn’t recommend enough

Vicki bitted my horse a few months ago. She is extremely knowledgable and asked lots of questions to help decide what the best course of action should be. She tried several bits to find what suited my horse (and me as I needed some brakes). Love the new bit. Thank you so much for an excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

The minefield of bits can be easily negotiated with the patient and knowledgeable guidance provided by Ema. Totally independent with no ties to any specific brand and incredible up to the minute understanding of the legality of certain bits for different disciplines, she can offer solutions to enable freedom and in-still confidence in your horse.
The only problem is that there is only one of Ema and she can’t always answer your question immediately you ask it!
I would not hesitate in recommending or going to The Horse Bit Shop for advice in the future.

WOW, if I could leave negative stars - it would be a MINUS 10. Purchased a bit on June 6th. Money promptly left my account ($146 USD). I have not received the bit - July 13th. I have attempted numerous times via email to reach them as to when the bit might ship - I've heard nothing.

Well I can't comment on their shop service but reading the reviews I am guessing they are as bad as the person driving their van. Squeezing your transit connect in a space barely big enough for it and then hitting the brakes when you have a 44t truck that you just cut up right on your back doors is not a wise move. Definitely not a good advertisement for your company

I bought a Mark Tod coat for my daughter, which turned out to be too small. As a Xmas gift it was outside the time limit set out in their returns policy. It took a couple of emails but they accepted the coat as a return and refunded my money promptly. Very good service.

Brilliant. Extremely helpful identifying the bit I needed and by the next day I had the bit and was able to use it. Trial option is amazing as well very reassuring. Can’t recommend enough
