Communication good, performance poor!
Mattresses and bed frame items had to be wrapped/tied. Nothing that has become wet while waiting outside (because the pickup window kept slipping), gets taken. Company left us with all stuff although we had to vacate the property that day. No refunds given

Having recently bought a new mattress from Eve, they recommended The Mattress Recycling People to dispose of our old one. I had some reservations, given the hit and miss reviews on Truspilot, however, I decided to give them a try anyway. I needn't have worried. I received immediate order confirmation from TMR, then a few days later I had confirmation of pickup from Arrow XL. The day before pickup I had a text reminder then, on the day, I received a 2 hour time slot. About 40 minutes before pickup the driver called me to confirm his arrival time. Upon arrival, the (very polite) two man team picked up the old mattress from our garage and took it away without any fuss. Highly recommended, based on my (one) experience so far!

When ‘shopping around’ for a mattress collection I was impressed with this website and found the video really interesting. Oh, how I need to get a life! I was almost put off from ordering when I read the negative reviews on Trustpilot but after an exchange of emails with customer service my gut feeling told me to give it a go. My mattress has just been collected by a competent 2 man team. The day before collection I was sent SMS and email detailing collection time within a 2 hour slot. On the morning of delivery driver rang to say he was half hour away. He arrived almost to the minute. I could not have asked for a smoother transaction so thank you to The Mattress Recycling People for a perfect job. Special mention to Lauren in Customer Service who was ready to answer my questions throughout.

So great to know my mattress will be recycled and not go to land fill. People that collected it kept me updated on arrival time and were friendly and helpful. Took off one star as didn’t know til quite late if collection was fully booked or not. But other than that highly recommend.

Only took half of the bed, asked me to take the rest “in a car”. Headboard won’t fit in my car. The whole point of booking and paying for this service is for them to remove it. Nowhere on the website is it mentioned that there’s a weight, size or item limit. I booked and paid for collection of the correct sized bed. Avoid like the plague

Mattress and duvan were collected (although earlier than the time slot they had said which was a pain because I was busy) but collection driver refused to collect it (dismantled) from the bedroom (which I’d paid extra for). Had to move it all down single handed which was a pain.

Emailed company twice now, no response.

They sent their couriers to the address to pick up a king mattress, said it was dirty. The Mattress Recycling People specifically state on their website that dirty mattresses are not an issue & that they will collect them. We rescheduled a collection 2 times more, that's 3 pointless attempts that amounted to nothing, just a waste of time, money, petrol & energy. My mattress still hasn't been collected as far as I know as I'm a landlord. My tenants told me that they didn't collect it 3 times. What an absolutely useless joke of a company that specialise in mattresses. I haven't had a refund, no communication. This company needs closing down for fraud.

Having followed the instructions and bagged the mattress, it all worked perfectly. We received a message the day before and a phone call to confirm time window. Note: you may need to book a week or so in advance

Brilliant service from start to end. 2 delivery drivers collected mattress bottom of our stairs ( easy access for outside), arrived in their collection window and received a call 10 minutes before they arrived. Very easy service to use and will highly recommend to others. Love that it's all being recycled rather than going into landfill. Thank you Eve sleep mattresses for putting us onto this company.

So... I had an old mattress, didn't want to chuck in the tip. I found TMR company and purchased the service BEFORE seeing these bad 1 starred reviews! Needless to say my anxiety levels went through the roof and I called the company for advice. They told me TMRC uses a 3rd party logistics who pick up old & NEW (returns/swap to supplier) so I get why it's needed in some cases, to of course package the mattress back up. I did think why the hell would I need to do this for an old mattress being recycled. Then I read some comments about leaving mattresses outside, un bagged. Have you ever tried to lift a wet mattress? Let me tell you its damn heavy! So I don't blame the people refusing to take in those cases. Despite my mattress being old, I still bagged it up using cut up bin bags / gaffer tape (on the advise of the customer service) as I wasn't going to pay extra money for plastic sheeting. I had a SMS and call on the day of the collection, not before as advised (systems down). So I was very thankful my mattress was taken. In all fairness, this company should know by now that not everyone has plastic sheeting around or wants to pay for it, so my advise (to save you from your 1 star reviews) is please invest in more mattress bags for the logistics team, as clearly it's not something your customers readily available. You offer a service, and should listen to your customers. Also it would be kinder to the logistics team to be able to pick up the mattresses easier if they had handles. Hope my review eases any new customers after seeing the poor reviews! Namaste mofo's!

This company did exactly what it said it would do (so unusual in this day and age) kept me informed on route then phoned me when they were 20 mins away. Nice friendly pick up men I would recommend thus company

My mattress was collected today. The whole process was easy and as described, with no issues. I had a text to tell me a timeframe for collection and then a phone call from the driver when they were 30 mins out. I can definitely recommend this service.

Organised a delivery, mattress was not collected. Contacted Lauren in customer services who told me it had been collected. I replied saying it clearly hadn't been. Then nothing. Ended up using another company. Avoid this lot.

Facts. Refusing to give a refund.
The driver claimed they will not collect a wet mattress.
The company refused to refund and claimed the ‘small print’ (that no one reads) states the mattress must be dry. There would not be a problem If the important rules of collecting a mattress were clearly illuminated and illustrated on the website before spending money to have a collection. Clearly these guys want to make extra money. They are the ‘mattress recycling company’ are they not?Which means something as important as the state of a mattress should NOT be hidden in the small print. Be warned.
And there is no need to spin any reply the above statement I have made is pure fact.
I will not use this ‘hide behind’ the small print company ever again. I urge others to use a different company.

Booked no problems, took my money no problem but had to leave mattress outside on a dry day under garage over hang for about 2 hours before collection due to going to work.
Must have been slightly damp on the floor but not wet by any means and refused collection.
No refund. Obviously not very bothered about recycling or the environment if a about a cup full of water on a king size mattress will stop them from picking up.
No wonder people just use landfill.

I had a smooth, friendly and positive experience using this company. Once I’d placed the order I received an email with my order. Then 2 days before I had another email and a text with my time slot. The pick up is done by Arrow XL. I had a phone call the morning of my pick up and they arrived a tiny bit late but not a problem, and the very friendly driver said sorry for being a bit late which was really polite. Really easy service!

Appalling service. The FAQ of their website says
" please make sure the main parts of the bedframe have been dismantled - our team will place the parts in a recyclable bag upon collection to transport them in."

When the collection guys (from Arrow XL) turned up they refused to take the bed as not packaged in a box? I even rang Arrow prior to check they would take both matteress and dismantled bed and they never mentioned that I needed to package up?

There's no way to contact this company and I now have a whole dismantled bed frame that I can't get rid of. Why not state in advance that you need to package yourself? How will I get my money back for a service that you did not deliver.

Swindled out of £50. The company they use to collect refused to collect as the mattress was placed outside not dirty not wet. Then after 2days decided they would collect but as the mattress has stayed outside and there had been a down pour we cancellaed as we knew they wouldn’t collect as wet through bad weather. Would not refund. In these hard times people thinking they are doing the right thing use these people. Well don’t they are crooks. They need closing down.

Just used this company, one thing to note, when you book, you get a confirmation email that states the price (I had a double mattress and paid £44) which actually for the hasell it would have been for me to try and work something out, was worth it) and your collection date, but no time frame so as i didnt really know what the situation was I did email asking what happens next, do I receive a time frame etc, it looks like the day before your collection they send all that info, I received an email from the courier people which was clear and thorough and was told a timeframe and was given tracking info (also received via text),the chaps who turned up didnt ask for a bag etc and I'm glad as it seems past reviews may have been taken on board in regards to that because if you need to do that, then this company needs to make that clear, they were also efficient, just grabbed and it and went, so for me exactly what I wanted, however, based on past reviews I would be a little hesitant to use again.....

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They charge a hefty fee to collect your mattress and do not ever deliver and come collect the mattress.
No contact number to call to demand a refund and no one replies to any emails!
DO NOT USE THEM!
