Do not use this company! They used XL as a 3rd party courier who on the first booked day simply did not turn up as they filled their van up a few stops before ours. When then rebooked a week later they were significantly later than planned and said that they could not collect the mattress as it wasn’t covered - on the website it says that your people will bring a cover if required. So I have paid and had to go elsewhere to dispose of my mattress. I have complained but had no correspondence from the company and no sign of any refund! There is no telephone number to contact them - simply a shambles - so do not use.

I was pleased to find The Mattress Recycling People as I wanted to be sure that my old mattress was fully recycled and didn’t end up in landfill. The service worked very well and I would use it again.

Great service, easily booked. Let down by collection company who cancelled, reinstated and then didn’t turn up till next day unannounced.

Turned up on time but the first thing they said was that they had to have the mattress in a bag!
This wasn’t mentioned or I could have wrapped it in plastic beforehand……however they did take it (admitting they have bags big enough but just didn’t have one with them…..) rather grudgingly.
I was concerned that I was rather fitter and more able than one of the crew who looked as if he was about to collapse…………
They could have been a bit more friendly, it’s the first time I’ve ever used a service like this, and it’s not cheap….but pretty hard to get rid of a king size mattress on your own…….

I wouldn’t even give you a star but no options not too. They originally wouldn’t pick it up on the day I had requested as it wasn’t bagged!!! No bag had been sent and the men didn’t carry them in their van!!! So would not take it! 😡
I then had to reschedule the collection, so the mattress was in the tiny hall I have for a further 5 days (that was the earliest collection time). As I didn’t want a repeat of the last performance I had to buy a bag from Amazon (adding to the price) so that they would pick it up. I would not recommend.

Picked up on time, polite, quick! Looks like a separate company is used for collections, no branding etc, and van full of all sorts, but that's ok. I have to trust it is genuinely recycled.

Prompt reply to booking and van collecting mattress kept us updated with collection window. I would rather have the mattress recycled than end upon the tip.

Utter rubbish! Contracted the work out to a company - Arrow, who twice forgot the protector and asked me to wrap it up in a bin bag!?!

Highly recommend. Really convenient service as you can pick a day for collection. Everything ran smoothly and happy we were able to recycle the bed instead of sending it to the tip.

It would have been £20 cheaper for the Council to collect and put in a landfill... BUT knowing this will be recycled is money well spent. Easy to book, and collection was on time and efficient

Good service. Mattress collected quickly.

Quick efficient process to schedule a mattress pick-up. The only downside is I had a mattress topper that I wanted them to take as well but got no response to my email about that. The collection guys weren’t able to take items that were not on their collection list, so it didn’t get taken.

Brilliant service. Could book time and date for collection. Collection was on time and it's good to know the mattresses are being recycled when they can be difficult to get rid of. Big weight off my mind.
