I ordered a mic for my viola a week before a gig, on a Thursday night. Their website crashed as I was putting my bank details in, so my bank froze my account. Having un-frozen my account (it flagged up as potentially fraudulent), I rang up to place the order. Four working days later it hadn't turned up. I rang up to check the status, and found they didn't even have one in stock and had only just ordered it from the manufacturers- despite their website saying things to the contrary!

I rang up the next day, to make sure they'd have them in. They said they'd get it in the post. It arrived the friday before a saturday gig- far too late to get used to! In the meantime, I bought a pick-up from my local music shop, which I used on the night, with great success.

Constantly crashing website meant I couldn't get to the order info, the guys I spoke to didn't seem to care about my order, the general impression I got was of a company which simply doesn't care.

I will not be using them again.

You missed out my village name on the address so UPS couldn't deliver.

Took me two days to sort UPS out.

I found TheMicStore on Google when searching for a specific product that I needed in a hurry. I could have saved about 10% buying the item from Amazon (minus one star) but they were out of stock. TheMicStore web site showed that they had two in stock and next day delivery was free so I placed an order. There was a problem using their web site in Chrome which I reported to them but they have not replied (minus the second star). However, my order went through and I received an order confirmation email and, a short while later, an email to say the item was on its way. The item arrived packed in its original box placed inside a UPS box but there was no padding which I would have liked to have seen. Overall a good experience and I may well shop with TheMicStore again.

I have not used the mic live yet but have tested it at home and I'm sure it will do the job.
Best thing about the purchase was the telephone advice I had from Shed at TheMicStore. Very patient , listened very carefully to what I had to say and then recommended a suitably priced/ranged mic. Arrived next day as promised.

I have found The Mic Store to be more than helpful in technical matters. Downside? I have rung on two occasions to be told everyone was busy but they would call me back. They didn't. But when I have got through I have been more than satisfied with the service.

Everything arrived quickly and is just as described

I had a budget of up to £200 to get a mike to match my trusty Beyer M700 mike.
I rang the team to ask for suggestions and they suggested a Lewitt mike. I was suspicious ..not heard of the brand ... less than half my budget.... but I went with the advice.
Turned out to be bang on. Can't tell any difference in the sound quality between the two mikes. Looks smarter. Heavier! Good feedback rejection.
With the money I saved I treated myself to a new stand and lead so I'm a happy bunny!
