Why can’t I leave 0 stars

Why can’t I leave 0 stars. I cannot think of a worst gift to give or receive. These things are terrible gifts, hard to activate as a gift recipient and customer service is unable to activate online. Great scam by visa and MasterCard. Why these cards are allowed is totally fraudulent practices.

Stay away from The Perfect Gift (visa)

Stay away from The Perfect Gift (visa). First of all, I could not purchase anything online with this card, when I call the company they told me that I can use this card in a few places listed on their website. Secondly, I checked my card balance after a year and they were both 0! Nevertheless, I had $5 on one and almost $3 on the other! My money got stolen somehow!? I am using a Vanilla prepaid card and never had any issues like that.

It's a shame when people spend hard…

It's a shame when people spend hard earned money to purchase these cards and they pay an additional fee to purchase it. Then if you don't use it, then $3.00 fee each month comes off the card. Ridiculous....there should be no fees associated to having the card and the balance on the card. This should not be allowed. If they paid for the card and agreed to the additional fee then the money on the card should remain until, I use the card. You are stealing people's money. NEVER BUY THESE CARDS!!! Also in Alberta VISA is not allowed to deduct inactivity fees off the card it's a violation. under alberta.ca information about gift cards

I wouldn't recommend gift cards from…

I wouldn't recommend gift cards from here because they charge a $3/month service fee, even if your card isn't registered.

Additionally, one of my gift cards was used by someone else prior to me registering it.

I had a $25 gift card which was $0 upon checking the balance due to the $3/month service fees.

A $50 gift card which someone else somehow used.

And a $100 gift card which dropped to an $84 balance with the $3/month service fees.

Due to this, I'd look at getting a gift card from another carrier which doesn't have monthly fees. Also, be sure to check if you can renew your gift card if it expires. Some companies don't let you, while others charge a fee ($10).

Should b 0 stars

Should b 0 stars. Do not buy gift cards from these scammers. They will take your money. $3 dollars a month taken starting from 12 months after it's purchased even if it was never registered or used. Generally should should avoid prepaid gift cards because the whole industry is predatory but if you need to buy one, at least go with one of the more legitimate ones like Vanilla. They don't charge fees to the recipient until they start using the card. If you are the unfortunate recipient of one of these, redeem it right away. Don't know what to redeem it on yet? Buy an Amazon gift card with it and take your time to make up your mind. If you care about your money and the person you are gifting to, do not buy a gift card from these people.

Terrible

Terrible. I am buying things just to get rid of the card. NO, ZERO, NONE AT ALL as far as customer service goes. People should not give gift cards, especially this Visa POS.
They hide behind a useless automated service that is not even compatible with the card.

If I could give this card a negative rating I would...

If I could give this card a negative rating I would. I cannot believe that this is allowed to be sold in stores, it is a complete scam! They charge a $3.00 monthly fee after the first 12 months of having this card. You can find this information in teeny tiny writing on the back of the card under a flap of cardboard with a barcode on it. I never even got a chance to use this card and they will not refund any of the monthly fees. When I asked them to explain to me what the $3.00 fees are for - like what additional costs are happening on their end that result in needing to charge a monthly fee? Customer service was not able to give me an answer and just kept repeating the same line that it falls under the terms and conditions of the card...DO NOT give this as a gift to anyone you care about...cash would be better.

DO NOY BUY

I did not enjoy my experience with them at all. I received it as a gift and I did not know after one year they will start charging a monthly fee if you have not done using it fully. So I gave them a call and said I am an international student, I did not know of this and please return the fees and it happened during the COVID when everybody is so confused but he simply said we can NEVER do it after I explained alot about my situation! What a silly person! At least tell it from the first, not after I have explained everything! Damn you.

No words to describe the LACK OF ETHICS…

No words to describe the LACK OF ETHICS with these gift cards. Although it shows an expiration date on the card, the truth is that you only have 12 months to use the card, after this time is over, THE PERFECT GIFT CARD will take $3.00 per month from your card. So when your son has been saving for his PERFECT GIFT, he finds out there is NO MONEY in the card with ZERO transactions on your end.
Please use your cards as soon as possible or they'll take your money, and please think twice before getting one for a loved one. They might not be able to get anything out of it. It sounds like CASH might be a much better option.

I purchased a visa gift card

I purchased a visa gift card. I tried using it in store in the beginning of March. It wouldn't work but would work online only. They sent me a replacement which I never got. I called again, and they issued it one more time. I didn't receive that either so called back and was told to wait 30 days. I called back, and they sent me another card, and I called them saying I haven't received it. The person told me because of COVID19 everything is delayed. I waited and still nothing. 3 attempts of them "sending" me giftcards and then they sent me a check which I never got. I called back and they said someone will contact me in 2 business days. A week later I followed up asking if they send me another to please give me a tracking number. They replied and said my request was denied and then have sent me a new check and to wait 30 minutes and now the case is closed. Quite possible THE worst customer service ever.

Also please note that if your card doesn't work.. and they send you a new one, they cancel the first one and when you try to call them it asks for the gift card number.. so if you have no new giftcard and yours doesn't work - there is NO way to get a hold of them.

Blocking my card for nothing

I wasn't aware that I had to register in order to use the card online, so I bought $14 worth of coins on a game and my card got blocked due to using PayPal. Now I have a useless card with $35 left unless they send me a replacement. Total waste of my time and money.

Bough a prepaid visa $250, went to use it online a couple days later and said I had 30 cents left!!!
Checked my transactions and shows a paypal transaction that wasn't me ! I don't even have PayPal! When you only have 250$ during this covid and then having it taken surely isn't what I need right about now with 2 kids at home !!
Now have to wait 10 days before anyone can help !! What bulls***
