Having applied for a secured loan, this company went above and beyond to ensure completion. A valuation came back poorly, so they paid for a different valuation themselves to provide an accurate figure for the lenders. Although this made the process far longer than expected - with a three week wait for available surveyor - nothing was too much trouble and they chased all the way to ensure I was kept up to date until completion was confirmed.

Thank you so much for very efficient service. I felt like my financial needs were addressed appropriately with the right advice, guidance and support. In addition to all this, the timing of the whole process which was 3 days maximum for my case. Not only did I get the loan but the support and effective communication was just incredible. Please keep on doing what you are doing because you are not only addressing people’s immediate financial needs but ensuring that they taking out affordable repayment options to with less pressure even if their financial situation changes in the future.

Thank you for providing your details. I have tried to reach out to you to discuss further but upon investigation I can confirm the following:
- we only send solicited text messages to customers who have opted in to receive such messages about products and services we feel may assist them. Given your review, I have looked into your case. We actually received a loan application, however this was for a different customer but using the mobile number which you are advising is your own.
- all our text messages contain simple functionality that allows customers to immediately opt-out of receiving any future messages.
- following provision of your phone number I have taken the steps to ensure you receive no future text messages from ourselves.
I have tried to contact you to discuss the above in more detail and will try again.
We feel passionate about great customer service and always doing the right thing, so to hear of your negative review was surprising. I hope the information above helps to clarify and hopefully we get to speak to resolve this.
Based on the above I don't believe that The Personal Finance Centre has done anything wrong and have been proactive in taken the steps required following your review to investigate and resolve the matter. If you were to reconsider this 1 star review, it would be greatly appreciated.

I really can’t thank Gareth and Donna enough for absolutely grafting to get me the right product for my needs. It took time, but they didn’t give up and kept positive throughout. I would like to say thanks Donna and Nick again for the work that they did getting me a large loan. I am so delighted I can literally live again now. Interest rates going up made my finance payments much more every month I was really struggling to pay everything. The loan that Donna found for me has cut my payments down massively, saving me almost £1000 each month from what I have been paying. This includes some extra borrowing to leave money for me to do some work on my house, that in my mind had resigned myself to not being able to afford to do for probably a couple of years. So I am £1k a month more left in my bank and am also able to do work to my house. I have treated myself and purchased a big I pad which I am currently using to write this review. Thanks to Donna and Nick I am now living the dream once more. Service was excellent and very easy from start to finish.

Insolvent Or Not Insolvent, That Is The Question!
I recently applied for a loan with The Personal Finance Centre but got spooked checking their Trustpilot reviews after I applied and then an email from one of their loan advisors. There is a reply from to a review that expressed concerns the business was insolvent which states the business isn't insolvent and never has been and the review is "factually incorrect on every level and physically impossible for any evidence to be provided to support the outrageous comments made" within the review and to complete simple research.
I consider myself to be astute, so completed this simple research online with companies house as requested to do so in the reply. The Personal Finance Centre 08687040 is insolvent which is backed up at the FCA register under their reference number 788011.
When I looked into this further, The Personal Finance Centre seems to now be a trading style of Key Loans and Mortgages with the FCA under ref 734892 and has been since mid December 2023 only. If you look a little further into this, the same people are registered with the FCA under the insolvent The Personal Finance Centre and The Personal Finance Centre as a registered trading style of Key Loans & Mortgages Ltd.
This now becomes even more confusing as their claim in the reply that they regularly receive positive feedback via Trustpilot causes deeper concerns as they only seem to have been using the trading name since December 2023 and only had five reviews since then and one of them is a 1 star review. It does look like all the pre December reviews are from a now insolvent company, but for now I will not be using this service due to these conflicts as it all sounds very suspicious and you can never be too careful with so many scams and hoax's going around so I've found a loan via another reputable provider.

Within the last month you have submitted 2 libellous reviews about my business. I will clarify a few points below, but if you have any other questions or are unhappy about something, then please get in touch with me so that we can discuss the problem.
The Personal Finance Centre was acquired by Key Loans and Mortgages around December time.
Key Loans and Mortgages is a family business that has been involved in the finance industry for over 30 years. My Father started providing secured loans and mortgages in the 1990s, trading as a sole trader for over 15 years then changing to a limited company 16 years ago.
It is quite usual for members of staff to remain when ownership changes. This is especially so when working in a specialist industry where the recruitment of excellent financial advisors is very difficult. The highly regarded and experienced term, that were already well established at the Personal Finance Centre, was the main attraction to Key Loans and Mortgages and why we were keen to acquire them.
Simply, we acquired this business. The previous company that owned it, their structure and what has become of them is of no concern to us.
The Trustpilot account is part of the business we acquired, and since the same excellent team that earned those reviews is still in place, we don’t feel that there is any need to start a new account. The reviews, not yours, that customers took the time to post, are a fair reflection of the service that we provide.
I don’t understand your comment about the same people being registered with the new and old company? This is also very clear to see on Companies House, as neither myself, or any member of my family, have ever had any previous interest in The Personal Finance Centre. Furthermore, only my immediate family members, all with the same surname as myself, have ever been directors or shareholders of Key Loans and Mortgages. The current company setup has even been in place without any changes at all since 2018!
I can only assume that you may be confused with the FCA register. As a company that is authorised and regulated by the FCA, we are required to register our qualified advisors with them, something we have complied with, so these members of the team will be showing under our registration now, as they work for us.
Hopefully this grudge can be now be forgotten, life is too short!
