Took my watch in to the Watford branch as it stopped working. Andy said they'd open it and check for damage, etc.
The watch man, Seb, did the work.
After 45mins the watch was inspected and working. Only battery required and a small charge made.
Great service and I was pleased to come away with a fair assessment and small bill.
I asked the lady how much for a new battery, she said £9.95 and looked at her male colleague who said 'no, £20 because it is a Tag Heuer....plus £15 for testing.
My Tag watch has a screw off back with a rubber gasket so does not require any special tools. The battery is a standard 377 type and cost £1.60 each from Ebay.
£35 is not a fair or reasonable price for a 2 minute job instead it is discrimination against those who are perceived to have expensive items. Pure jealousy and greed.
Outcome: I changed it myself for £1.60 and Watch Hospital lost business. Had they simply charged the standard price of £10 I would have had it done but to blatantly inflate the price because of the make of watch is criminal. They weren't using special Tag Heuer tools or batteries so why the blatant price hike?
Great service at watch hospital derbion shopping centre derby. Ryan was so helpful. Will return
Would highly recommend
My wife bought me a 377 watch battery from the Burton on Trent branch, for me to fit myself. They charged her £11.24 for a single battery. This is total and utter rip off. Just a shame I wasn't with her so we could have walked away
Top class! Friendly personal and very fast service delivered to me by the Wakefield branch in respect of a recent repair to my Omega Seamaster watch. I would not go anywhere else.
First class service from Ryan in Derby.
Took my wife's mondaine watch in for what I suspected was a movement issue and may require replacement. Came back within 10 minutes and it was fixed with a new battery (I had fitted a battery previously myself and hence thought it was the movement). First class service by Ryan in the Derby branch. Fast, professional and a credit to The Watch Hospital. Thank you Ryan. Please give the lad a bonus as would definitely use you again.
10/10.
I can’t rate the service highly enough at the White Rose Leeds branch. I dropped my watch off for a new battery and asked if there was anything they could do about some water ingress on another watch I had. They said leave it with them for half hour and when I returned it was fixed and they didn’t charge me anything for it. I’ve left the watch with them again for a polish I know full well it’ll look like new when I collect if. Highly recommend.
Wow wot a guy absolutely the best at wot he does.i was sent to him by all the best jewelers in Huddersfield due to them not knowing how to take the links out my gevril it was quick and efficient,as I was very worried i couldn't sort it out and very helpful with advice I'm so happy with my experience I would definitely recommend 11 out 10 service I will definitely be going back there in the future if need be.
Dropped my Casio Edifice into the Grimsby Branch on a Sunday for a new glass replacement. I was told it would be ready in 4 days and someone would text me. 6 days later no text so I call and call and call. No answer. So I drove 20 miles to the store and asked in person if my watch was ready. The answer from a very rude lady was "no they get the post on Monday". Not only was I annoyed by the delay I was also not aware my watch was being sent off to be repaired. When asked why no one answered the phone I was told "I'm too busy to answer, I'm on my own"..... on your own doing what??? Because your clearly not repairing watches!!
After the frustration of a lengthy time for repair the watch was returned , shiny as new with an apology and a very generous price reduction for delay...will use them again
I visited The Watch Hospital, Wakefield (Ridings) following a telephone call to check they could help me. The service was fantastic! Firstly, an explanation of options regarding battery, all sorted within 30 minutes and I now have a Tag watch that I can use daily and swim in as I went for the option of a sealed battery which is guaranteed for 1 year.
All in all a fabulous experience and I'm delighted. Highly recommend.
My Omega Speedmaster was well overdue a service at 6yrs old. The crown had snapped, which i was told was replaced on all Omega services along with the 2 pushers.
At £500 and Watch Hospital Wakefield having the watch for over 8weeks... I'd have expected perfection. However after having the watch back for a few days, a pusher fell off. Back it went! 3weeks later, I picked the watch back up.
A few weeks later, guess what happened. The same pusher fell off! And the other was loose. The 2 pushers that were replaced... id never in 6yrs had an issue with. Watch Hospital Wakefield have still got my watch. I dropped it off 4weeks ago.
To summarise,
£500 Omega Certified Service
2 pushers fell off, 1 loose
4months approx at the Shop.
Not happy with the service, will not be returning with my other watches. Nor will I be recommending Watch Hospital to others.
What a stroke of luck! I took my Mother's treasured Wedgewood clock to the Norwich store for battery and ? Repair. What a stroke of luck I met Mike who offered to take it back to Sheffield and replace mechanism. Nothing was easy but he kept me updated and agreed to post to my home as we don't live in Norwich. I cannot thank you enough for getting my Mother's clock working again it hasn't ticked in over 20years we are delighted.
I took a very ordinary watch in for a new battery, he charged me £8.95!!!! later that day the back dropped off, I pressed it back on myself. In future I shall go to a market stall and get one fitted by someone carefull for 2 or 3 quid.
Got my Rolex sea dweller strap changed in no time and even gave me the exact rubber strap I was searching for. Changed it over in 5 minutes whilst I waited.
Brilliant service and very polite will defo use again!

The Crown wheel detached on my Omega Speedwatch. I took it into the Norwich Branch on 27/8/20. I was told that to replace the Crown a full service was needed, which I agreed to at £350. Prior to this the watch was gaining 1 min/month. The watch was returned on 16/10/20 but losing 1min/day. This is outside of Omega spec which is up to 11sec/day for a mechanical chronograph. I have now returned the watch 4 times for regulation (and a power reserve check). I received the last return 13/10/21 and the watch is showing no better accuracy. For such an expensive service I feel letdown for the inability return a fully spec'd watch
Very disappointing. We took a clock in to him to be cleaned, as it kept stopping even when fully wound. They guy waggled some bits about and declared that it needed new bushes, and would cost £180 to be repaired. It didn't, the bushes (bearings) were fine. the bit he was waggling was the striker for the chime, we're not stupid mate.
We bought a can of Horoclean off Amazon, dipepd the whole thing in for 2 hours. A pool of muddy fluid was left over. We oiled the little bushes we could see, and off it went, never stopped once since.
I admire craftsmen, but this guy is a bit of a chancer.
Battery replaced on a Tag. Very efficient and friendly, all done in one hour (versus 4-6 weeks alternative high Street chains). Guaranteed for a year and less than half the price.
I took a broken watch with great sentimental value (but not worth a great amount) to the Derby Intu centre branch. They almost immediately correctly diagnosed the issue and gave a very reasonable repair cost (another repair booth in the same centre quoted 4 x the price without any diagnosis)...
They called me to inform of progress along the way - and replaced the glass (which was scratched) and gave it a general refurb all-in for the price!... Watch looks great again. Excellent and friendly service - great value for money - highly recommend!
