Needed to move computer and office equipment quickly. Looked online and sought quotes, aargh spoke to several companies, got some outlandish quotes.
Chose The Yellow Van Company and I am glad I did. As it was my first time using them, I messed up the booking I missed my allocated slot. Nicola, showed great understanding and looked at what he could do made sure I followed the right steps to complete the process, and arranged the move was done on day I needed it to be done, life saver, super professional.
Neil the driver, what can I say, helpful, professional and pleasant to the hilt. Took great care when loading the equipment, made sure I was aware and comfortable with what he was doing. At the other end he showed what a stand up gentleman he helped move the equipment and went that extra step when asked to help move it into the premises to a particular location, no ifs or buts.
I can only but recommend them highly. Platinum Standard service at any price.

I've used this company to move house twice now and both times I've had a very positive experience. I don't remember the names of the guys helping me move the first time but Conroy was extremely efficient during my most recent move. Both times the movers were committed to completing the job in time to prevent me from getting charged for extra time. Both times the movers were very careful with my belongings and made sure to avoid any damage to the properties involved in the move. I never experienced any judgement or sexism for being unable to lift heavy things, and overall the workers who assisted me were always friendly.

Great experience! Booked after 5pm on a Monday for a move on Tuesday at 9am due to an emergency situation. Was a bit worried that the booking wouldn't be processed, but the movers arrived just before 9am and they were so great - kind and efficient!! Andre H. was an awesome driver.

Movers we're 3.5 hrs late - avoid
Movers we're 3.5 hrs late because the previous customer overran. Asked for some money back and they only gave me £60 out of a £338 booking because of "traffic" which was a lie, movers had told me previous customer had delayed them.
The movers themselves were very nice, but clearly upper management can't handle bookings well and don't take responsibility for their actions. Won't use again.
Damaged items & terrible customer service experience
Short version: £700 worth of our items were water damaged in their storage facilities. They didn’t tell us about it, even though they knew it had happened. They’ve never apologised or offered any kind of compensation. We originally raised this with them in October 2023 and they said they would raise it with their insurance company and it’s been a painful eight month process where I have had to constantly chase for updates and the resulting amount offered is not adequate.
Long version: My partner and I chose Yellow Van Company off the strength of their Google and TrustPilot reviews, as I imagine a lot of people do. I always do a lot of research before choosing providers and Yellow Van seemed like a sure bet considering the number of 5 star reviews they were receiving for their services. However, it's when things go wrong that a company’s customer service is really tested and this is where Yellow Van have been woefully inadequate, in my experience.
We chose Yellow Van to move all of our items into their storage facilities in July 2022 while we were waiting to complete a flat purchase. Sadly, the flat purchase ended up dragging out for months and then falling through so our items ended up in their care for over a year, costing us more than £4k. Ultimately, we decided that, rather than pay £337.50 a month, we would move our items into a bedroom at my partner's dad’s house temporarily while we looked for another place so we booked Yellow Van to do that.
On the day, Yellow Van were 1.5 hours later than they said they would be and so, once they arrived, we were keen to get all the boxes moved into his house as quickly as possible. The two guys were friendly and did a good enough job of unloading the van and putting them into the bedroom. About a month later we were looking for something in the bedroom and came across a box that said ‘Damaged Books’ on it (not in our handwriting). In the box was a stack of our books, covered in mould from water damage. At no point had we been told that there were any issues with our items, but they clearly knew or else they wouldn’t have had to repack the books! We then found other water damaged items, including our armchair, a sideboard, and a desk - around £700 worth of items.
We informed Yellow Van and they said that they would make a claim to their insurance company. They have never apologised for the damage or provided an adequate explanation as to how our items were damaged or why we were never told that this had happened. It has taken eight months for the claim to be finalised and has required constant chasing on my part, answering the same questions about our items repeatedly - a genuinely painful customer experience and not one where I’ve been made to feel I was being looked after. In the end, we’ve been offered £123 and Yellow Van seem to believe this is adequate considering a) our items were damaged in their care b) whether intentionally or unintentionally, they did not tell us our items were damaged c) we have paid them around £5k for both moving and storage services d) it has taken 8 months to get any kind of resolution.
Note: Yellow Van are not members of either of The Removals Ombudsman or the British Association of Removers so your only recourse for complaint/compensation if you get into a situation like mine will be either with them directly, where you can see what happens above, or via a legal route.
