Be Careful with Hidden Fees

tiket.com advertises 100% free cancellation for some bookings, but they have hidden "refund fee" or "admin fee" for all cancellation request. It is not mentioned anywhere, and you will only find out about this fee when you try to cancel your "100% Free Cancellation" booking. Be careful.

Total scam

Total scam. I made and paid a hotel reservation on 26.01.2026 via Tiket.com app, received confirmation of the successful payment, but have not received any order confirmation or receipt from Tiket.com in the last eight days after the payment. I have contacted Tiket.com Customer Service several times via chat and phone, where a nice and polite service person promised to check the payment. And also asked my credit card number - scary.
Be careful with Tiket.com

The staff themselves only care to end…

The staff themselves only care to end the problem faster, the company policy feels like a scam. Be careful when booking on this website. When I contacted customer service for help, all they could say was they “cannot refund due to company policy,” even though it was a significant amount of money. It honestly feels like they only care about taking your money and not about solving the problem when something goes wrong.

Refund issue 1326379105

Update / Warning for other customers:

After extensive contact with tiket.com Customer Care, I must unfortunately conclude that this issue was not properly reviewed.

My booking included free cancellation, yet tiket.com’s system did not allow a refund to my original payment method (Wise Visa debit card). Because of this system limitation, I was forced to accept an overseas bank refund, which automatically triggered a 300,000 IDR administration fee.

Multiple agents have now confirmed in writing that the original payment method was unavailable due to a system limitation, but still insist the fee “cannot be waived” due to policy. The case was closed without supervisor or finance review, despite clear evidence that I had no alternative choice.

This is not a voluntary choice, and in my opinion not compatible with a “free cancellation” promise.

I am posting this update to warn international customers: if you pay with a foreign card and need a refund, you may be forced into an overseas transfer and charged significant fees, even when cancellation is advertised as free.

Very disappointing handling and lack of escalation.

Refund issue – Order 1326379105.

Tiket.com's system did not allow me to choose my original payment method
(Wise Visa card). Their staff instructed me to provide my ING bank details, which
forced an overseas refund with a 300,000 IDR fee.

Customer Care keeps sending the same scripted responses and closed my report
without reviewing the facts. I cannot reopen the report or create a new one.

This was a free cancellation booking, and no fees should have been charged.

Please escalate this to a supervisor or Finance Team.

Total scam operation

Total scam operation
They quoted me $585 Aud for 5 nights accommodation which included fees and taxes. All looked good until I received notification from my bank that the amount taken by this scamming mob was $603.14 and it was charged in a foreign currency so add an extra $17.56 Aud.
So no saving that they advertised
Absolute dishonest scammers

Complete bullshit. I tried to book a train in Indonesia. It asks me all the information then I enter card details, and then they say "Payment failed. You need to verify some information with us". Then I am redirected to GOOGLE FORMS and "FILE NOT FOUND". How idiotic is that? What is IT deparment thinking? Thank you for wasting my time. I will never use it again. Better use Traveloka.

Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed – My Experience Matches Other Reviews

After reading the reviews on Trustpilot, I now understand I’m not alone. tiket.com has many bad reviews, and unfortunately my experience confirms them. I followed the rules, tried to cancel my hotels before the deadline, and even provided proof. Yet instead of helping, tiket.com hid behind a “non-refundable” policy and blamed the hotel, even though the problem was caused by tiket.com’s own system failures.

As an international customer, I felt completely ignored their platform doesn’t even allow non-Indonesian bank accounts for refunds. All I received were empty updates with no real solution. This company needs to take responsibility instead of pushing customers aside. I trusted them, but this has been one of the most unfair and frustrating experiences I’ve had when booking travel online.

Total rip-off - avoid at all costs

We had booked a room at Cat Ba Paradise Hotel - Sky Bar & Massage on Cat Ba Island in Vietnam through booking.com with this provider. They have charged our credit card with the money worth almost EUR 150 and when we got to the hotel, they did neither have our booking nor the payment. Any attempts to get in touch with them resulted in fails and we did not get our money back. This is a scam and booking.com did also not help here. Total rip- off.

Scam

Tiket.com is a dishonest platform that tricks you into thinking you’re entitled to a “100% refund” — but that’s absolutely false once want you cancel.

I booked a hotel using an international CREDIT card with a clear message: “Free cancellation before 2 days before arrival, full refund.” . Their published terms & conditions state that payments using credit cards will be refunded on the same card.
I wrote a request to cancel within the deadline, but they deny that my card is a credit card, saying it's a debit and that they cant refund on card. They only propose refund on a bank account, which funnilly is subject for a IDR 300,000 (around €20) so-called “bank fee” — which was never mentioned during the booking process, nor in the terms and conditions.

Their customer service keeps replying with the same automated message, without giving any proof that this fee was stated in their terms. Also, they first tried to call me at 5am local time. I put them nicely that they should be carefull to time zones. Even worse, calling 3 times at 3am waking me up (french time zone).

The refund system is unclear, deceptive, and clearly designed to exploit foreign customers.
This feels like a scam disguised as a professional travel site.

Avoid Tiket.com. Stick to trusted platforms that are transparent and honest.

A Warning for International and Local Frequent Travellers. Please Be Careful with Tiket.com (Blibli.com)

I rarely write reviews like this, but after what I’ve been through, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience especially for fellow international travelers & frequent locals' travelers who are on tight schedules or budgets and those who simply don’t have the energy to deal with unnecessary stress during travelling.

It all started with hope. I was planning an international trip, and for the first time, I decided to try Tiket.com, thinking it would be a fresh, smooth experience. What I didn’t realize was that the platform is now owned by Blibli.com, a company I had bad experiences with years ago before covid outbreak time. Back then, I had major concerns about data privacy. I had already asked them to delete my personal information, repeatedly and they never did.

And sure enough, when I signed up for Tiket.com, my old data instantly reappeared. My details, which I had once fought hard to erase, were just sitting there, as if my requests had meant nothing. That was my first red flag. Still, I gave it a chance.

I booked a 3-night hotel stay overseas; confident the room was available. I even cross-checked with other platforms. I transferred nearly IDR 26 million and only to receive an immediate automatic refund, citing a vague “failure to generate e-voucher.” But the room was still available elsewhere includes on Tiket.com. It was clearly their technical failure and not a real availability issue.

Trying to resolve it was an absolute nightmare. Their customer support didn’t recognize my booking ID. The chatbot was useless. After several frustrating attempts, I finally reached a human, only to be told that my refund would be deposited not into my bank account, but into BlibliPay, a wallet I never asked for and even I never heard my circle in Jakarta use it.

I tried to rebook another hotel using the refund but then came another shock: BlibliPay only allows a maximum to spend of IDR 10 million. So, most of my money was frozen. When I tried to transfer the balance back to my bank, it took 1 to 3 business days which meant more delays and more stress.

Still holding onto optimism, I tried again. I rebooked through bank transfer for another hotel about IDR 24 million. And it happened again, another auto-refund message just a few seconds after my transfer received it by them. This time they said the hotel had changed its price. But I could see the pricing on their app was erratic and inconsistent. Their system simply isn’t reliable.

After wasting six full days and watching my well-planned trip fall apart, I decided I was done. Done with the stress. Done with the games. Done with the emotional toll.

And then came the final blow. I decided to delete my account completely to walk away. But they made that impossible too. Instead of a simple process, I was met with complicated steps, endless rules, and unrealistic conditions. In the end, I couldn’t delete my own account. My data, once again, was trapped.

They say because I have bliblipay balance. Similarly, when I tried to change my name to be anonymous and change other data, they say, you need 90 days until 1 year to change it.

At that moment, I felt not just disappointed but violated. This app is not just unreliable. It’s dangerous. It doesn’t respect your privacy, your time, your money, or your peace of mind.

This application is deeply careless and irresponsible. It offers no valid arguments, no sense of care or protection for its users. Certainly not the kind of platform you'd ever want to trust for a lifetime.

My Key Takeaway,

To anyone reading this, please, do not make the same mistake I did.

If you value your time, your sanity, and your privacy, your ultimate wellbeing, stay far away from Tiket.com. You may lose more than just money.
You may lose peace of mind, your digital privacy, and that’s the hardest to recover.

Travel is supposed to bring us joy. Not trap us in a system that treats us like data points instead of human beings. You deserve better. We all do.

I booked my Whoosh tickets to Bandung

I booked my Whoosh tickets to Bandung, I was just reaching out to reschedule and sure enough I was denied the 25% reduced refund and the KCIC agents will not take responsibility and Tiket.com says it’s KCIC that should be issuing the refund. I followed all the steps and even came to the refund counter in Halim and Bandung and was denied. Very poor customer service and I will never buy anything from Tikets.com and I hope no one else will either.

Kind regards

A Kay

SCAMMERS!!!

SCAMMERS!!!! Booked a family of 4 ticket to Kensington Palace London. Got ticket by email and all looked great. Got to the venue and they said they are not the tickets they use, never seen them before. They asked who I had booked it through, said ticket.com and they said they are scammers. I had to pay on the day to gain entry into the palace rather than just walk away.
So I emailed them and recieved 26 replies in 4 weeks just saying the same thing, that they are sorry and it is with their booking partners who are investigating. Every email they send it’s a different name at the bottom. I sent loads of emails to them. I then sent a pretty angry email to them to sort it out. I received a response within the hour saying that they had managed to sort out the refund and they had just sent it…. 2 days later and still no money back into my account. Scammers. 1 star is one to many. This is not a company despite how professional their web site is… they are crooks!!! DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY… you will not get what you pay for and not get any money back!!!

Absolute rip off. Lying scammers

Absolute rip off. Took the money for a hotel booking that wasn't booked. The hotel have no record of the booking. I contacted customer support and they blatantly lied to me saying I had a confirmed reservation. The hotel still have no record. What's worse - the hotel only has 3 rooms and I actually know all the people who have rooms booked as its a local family do! That are still telling me to turn up for my booking knowing full well that I'll have to drive for hours to a hotel that I do not have a booking for.
