AVOID until Tommee Tippee fixes issues with this machine. It’s delivering milk that’s too hot and you will need to manually cool under water or wait while your hungry baby screams at you. When you contact customer service they will ask you endless questions, ask for videos and goodness knows what that as a parent with a young baby you do not have time for when they know this is an issue. When you’ve done all that, they will gaslight you and tell you you’re wrong. Then eventually they will ‘offer’ for you to send this back to them for 21 days (no offer of a machine to replace this in the meantime) then when they’ve done whatever they do with your machine, they will either return a machine that you don’t know is clean or safe anymore as they’ve messed with it and tell you again that you’re going mad or (and reviews suggest this never happens) they will replace it. In my case when I refused to part with it for 3 weeks based on the reviews of others, they told me to contact Amazon and that was it! So I did and got a full refund. Now deciding whether to brave their new pro machine (I know but what other choices do we have?!) or make all bottles myself. Customer service is shocking.

Had a prep machine for our first born - worked great. Received the newer model and it’s preparing 4 oz bottles at 50 degrees. Dangerous and wouldn’t be surprised to see a product recall Tried the update, didn’t help either.

Extremely hot, nowhere near safe for a new born. Was meant to make a perfect prep which is totally false. Avoid this product unless you seriously want to hurt your new born child.

Too hot. Probably worth a product recall right? Having seen countless other reviews. The faff of having to pack it all up and return to the shop is not what I need on my plate with a newborn. As a side note, while it looks nice, it’s not a very intuitive or well designed machine. Such a shame.

Got brought this to assist with night feeds, followed the cleaning instructions prior to use and it worked first time albeit the temperature of the milk was warmer than expected for a newborn so had to cool down for a bit. On second use the machine did not disperse any cold water only the hot shot which was frustrating that it kept repeating this step. I referred to the instructions via the app and was doing everything right so was somewhat confused. The next evening it worked fine the first feed then on the next feed it just dispersed hot shots again and the main button kept turning red. Ended up turning it off and giving up. We exchanged for a new machine but same thing happened, we have given up and got a refund as for night feeds we need reliability. Machine looks great but appears to be unreliable with the touch sensitive controls and makes the milk too hot, such a shame. We have resorted to the older model prep machine and the prep flasks as these haven't let us down.

Absolutely gutted - I’ve owned both previous models of this with my 2 other children and have found them to be a complete life saver so I was excited to see this flashy new model come out. What a complete waste of money! First problem was it kept saying water jug was empty, it wasn’t. Second problem, it wouldn’t shoot out any cold water after the “hot shot”. Third problem, it kept saying the water was the wrong temperature so wouldn’t work (it had literally come out the kitchen tap?!) only way of getting round these problems is switching off at the wall and leaving for a time then starting again by which point baby isn’t a happy bunny. Don’t waste your money and just boil the kettle.

Amazing!!! Day 2 with my first child and it’s been a life saver. So easy! So quick! Perfect! App is so great, especially the quick step by step guides if you forget or too tired! Cleaning is so easy, looks nice, fits in small places, great wire length and so easy to move around the house for sleep / day. As mentioned in the product details the smallest feed is 4oz so that’s the only thing I wish you could do a 2oz so I don’t waste formula although I’m sure there is a reason why and it’s so worth it, they’ll be feeding more and more it’s only a short time! Highly recommend! Looks very aesthetically pleasing too…always a win!

Not sure why the hype for this. Probably because very few alternatives but this consistently delivers bottles above 45 degrees. The company seem disregarding when raising this. The smallest portion of 120ml is also very wasteful for a newborn. Maybe this machine will be fine for 200ml+ but not much use now. Will be returning.

I’ve found the water measurements in my new machine to be incorrect. Each measurement setting is 1/2 oz short, making each bottle with too little water. I noticed that the teats were blocking when using the new machine, which they never did with the old machine so I tested the measurements with an empty bottle and the new machine doesn’t dispense enough water for each setting

Love the new prep machine! We keep it in the bedroom and use it for night feeds and it’s so much quieter than the previous prep machine. Makes bottles super quick and sterile. Looks good too! Couldn’t live without it!

I cannot recommend this. The machine consistently makes bottles that are too hot for a newborn. We bought two machines and both of them have the exact same problem. Every 4oz bottle comes out at 43-45C, which is way too hot. We used The Day and Night machine with our previous child and it worked flawlessly, the perfect prep on the other hand is plain dangerous for any newborn ,even after the alleged update they pushed, which did not change much for our perfect prep machines. We reached out to TommeeTippee customer service, who recommended, we put ice in the machine before we make any bottle and tried to convince us our thermometer is wrong. We are extremely disappointed. I would not recommend the Perfect Prep Machine right now as it may harm your newborn.

Faulty!! As per the other 1 star reviews this product is faulty and should be recalled!! From what I have read this is happening too much and needs urgent action. The feeds are way over the recommended room temperature of 37 degrees, as per the picture it’s showing at 42.5 degrees and I’ve tested this on the 4oz and 5oz settings. Not what you want for your newborn baby. People should avoid this product as it’s not worth the risk or spending money on a faulty item, so upset and disappointed.

Far from ‘perfect’ prep machine! It is a real shame as the unit looks fantastic and feels very high quality, but…. This prep machine makes bottles too hot! Temperatures always range from 42-48°C. I have no abnormal room temperatures or heat sources nearby, the unit is out of direct sunlight and is updated with the latest software. Even after taking advice from the customer support on Facebook and trying both adding ice to the tank and using refrigerated water the bottles are just too hot, the coolest one I have measured so far is 42.5°C. And besides, who wants to have to restock their prep machine with ice 30 minutes before a feed at 2AM?! After extensive tests at their request (all with photos of my temperature probe reading too high) I have been told that the machine is working fine and that my thermometer must be inaccurate, how they can work this out from photos of the probe and nothing more is a bit of a mystery to me. The only resolution I have been offered (after first being told the issue is now resolved) is to return my machine for 21 days whilst they complete their own testing, only when the ‘testing’ team then find the same fault will a replacement be sent out to me. Our previous ‘old style’ Tommee Tippee machine worked flawlessly no matter the weather, tank temperature or whether the sun is glancing off one of Jupiter's moons at the wrong angle. This new one clearly just wants you to make it yourself the old way with a kettle and sit there on the side looking oh so aesthetic. Disappointed is an understatement. Update 14/6/25 I have since recieved my machine back, at a week it was much faster than the 21 days which is appreciated. However… The machine still makes bottles at 42°C minimum, I have had to chase to get any sort information regarding what testing was done or the results of the testing. To which the answer was just ‘no fault found’. So clearly over temperature feeds are the aim of the game with this new machine. In the mean time we have been using an old style Tommee Tippee prep machine which consistently puts out 4Oz bottles bang on 37°C without needing to fill it with fridge water, ice cubes or unicorn tears. The new machines are clearly form over function and are not fit for purpose and should be avoided. Ordering direct from TT was probably our biggest mistake as any other retailer would’ve accepted a return straight away rather than going through endless tests, messages and borderline accusations, only to be told in a slightly longer form, ‘sorry, it’s a you problem’. Avoid like the plague

Be very careful with this machine it is making bottles far too hot. When we tested ours the bottles were coming out at 43° which is way to hot. Reported this to tommee tippee who are aware of the fault that apparently is only affecting 1% of their machines but after seeing all the posts reporting this I definitely feel like it must be more than 1%. We brought ours in John Lewis but they are unaware of this fault so haven't been able to contact their customers to warn them. These machines should be recalled and customers should be informed of this fault as I'm sure their are lots of parents giving babies bottles which are too hot as they are trusting the perfect prep machine. John Lewis are sending us a new machine but if I'm honest I don't think I can trust this machine now after seeing how many other people are experiencing the same issue. Definitely not perfect like it's name suggests.

I received a replacement perfect prep machine due to my original making bottles too hot (43.3 temp), replacement machine received however again the temperature is too hot (now at 46.3temp). Customer service were helpful with organising the replacement of ky original machine (arranged next day delivery) however the cost of this machine this is unacceptable and I will be again in contact with customer service.

Bought this machine via Argos three weeks ago, I felt the temperature of the bottle was too hot therefore used a thermometer to check. Temperature came out at 43.3 which is far too hot for little one, unhappy with this and would like some advice regarding this

Bought this product to make it easier and more efficient to feed our baby, however, every single bottle that is prepared is well over 43°c. The whole point of the machine is that it should be at the perfect temperature once the milk is prepared, but this has not once been the case and we have had to spend more time cooling down the bottles before feeding. The hot shot is around 50% of the bottle, even though it is supposed to be less, and this leads the entire feed to be at a dangerous feeding temperature. Reading other reviews I can see that I am not the only one with this issue. Do not spend your money on this product until the temperature issue is fixed.

I love the new design and the one touch screen is an amazing addition (the old machine would take a few button clicks each time to dispense water, a bit of a pain at 4am feeds!), the removable water jug was an also much needed improvement and makes refilling the machine much easier, plus eases cleaning, Overall I would have rated the new prep 5 stars if not for one huge flaw - the water ratio seems to be way off with this new design. With the old machine I’d be left with warm/body temp milk for my baby, however this new machine is leaving me with hot milk, the sort of temp you’d have a hot tea/coffee - great for an adult but not a screaming baby! We’re now having to spend time cooling it down each time we prep, certainly not ideal when the point of this machine is to save time In summary : Pros 1. Sleek design looks great on countertop 2. Much needed removable water jug 3. One press touch screen Cons 1. Hot water to cold ratio seems way off, resulting in HOT milk (check the milk temp before feeding with this new machine, can scold baby if not careful)

I’m very happy with my new Perfect Prep machina! It looks so much nicer and more modern vs the older one, and it takes up less space too. It’s also way easier to use, really straightforward with the touch dial. The removable jug is a great addition and the app feature is actually really handy. it made setup super simple as I can check water levels and get reminders when the filter needs changing straight from my phone. This is really good upgrade from the old version!

I initially thought my machine was faulty and had it replaced by Amazon, but both are producing the same result. The formula is coming out anywhere between 43 and 48°C instead of the intended 37°C. It’s supposed to provide a 20% hot shot, but it's actually delivering a 50% hot shot. PLEASE check the temperature of your formula before feeding to your baby. In the bottle Hot shot: 62.2°C Final temperature: 48.7°C
