Ordered some anchor resin bolts from TCO. Paid for quicker delivery. Received confirmation of my order and money was taken from my account. The expected delivery date came and passed with no sign of the order and no communication from TCO about what was happening. In the end, I reached out to them.
They gave me a refund but no explanation of why it happened and no real apology from the staff member.
Website says they use state of the art IT systems to fulfil orders.
In the end I went to Toolstation which is what I will do in the future.

I paid via PayPal so your system didn't ask for my address or my phone number. I pay regularly by PayPal on multiple websites and I've always received my goods. I've also checked my phone number on PayPal and its there and correct.
Regarding your reply, you made no attempt to contact me especially not by phone and certainly not 3 times.
You've also just made an attempt to request more information about the order via Trust pilot which confirms your reply isn't accurate as you're not even sure who the order even belonged to.
Also, the order was cancelled at my request after I received no contact, not yours, which again confirms that your information is inaccurate.

I always buy my StrongTie products from TCO; there is no other supplier with a better range nor so competitive on price. Delivery is always prompt too.

Based on the number of strongly negative reviews here at Trustpilot, and on the fact that this is a "sales / customer support via email"-only company, I was very hesitant to use them. The only reason I chose to engage in the end was that they were one of very few UK resellers listing a specific product by Mafel and at a very competitive price.

The short version is: I received the product I wanted within the time scale indicated by their customer services representative, and I saved myself over £50 purchasing through them (about 15%). Original product, delivered direct from the manufacturer on-time and in good condition (extra credit for the latter, seeing as this was a very oversized package).

Where I see scope for improvement (and I think likely the basis of some of the complaints seen in a lot of the negative reviews) is that:

1). TCO's website stock levels can't be taken at face value. The item I required was shown as being "in stock" (and lots of them) but only after speaking with a customer services representative did it become clear that this wasn't actually true - the item would be drop shipped direct from the manufacturer.

2). Having only email as a contact point for sales / customer service is a pain and not what I, nor I doubt the vast majority of customers, expect from "independent" resellers. Part of the value-add prop. for smaller businesses is surely the personal touch and someone to speak with? If I wanted email and/or webforms, I could use Amazon (not for this product, however, granted).

3). CS took nearly a full business day to reply to my initial email and almost 2 working days in total to determine whether or not the product shown as being in stock actually was. To be fair, the final "yes, with the supplier" was accurate, as was their delivery estimate.

Summary: Bargains and good service to be had but I advise checking with them directly about availability and delivery times, rather than taking the website data at face value.

When I first put my order in and waited over 2 week so had a look on here and seen mostly negative reviews and this worried me. I quickly emailed the company for an update and didn't have to wait long for a response and was updated that my order was indeed on its way and received the next day. I'm happy with my products ordered and packaging was well packed. Thank you tco for my order and will happy use your company again

Plased an order for next day delivery before 10.30 am, paid over £16 for this. Had to pay carpenter £50 to sit around as no delivery. Finaly DX tried to deliver at 2pm which i refused. Very unhappy. Your order ID is #351656

TRICKSTERS BUYER BEWARE. 1st they offer free delivery on orders over £50 and then you discover that the delivery date is over 7 days away from the order and then you need to pay premium to get your order. So then you read the postage options and choose one to deliver in two days for £8.77 and more than 3 days later the order is listed as still needing fulfilment and will arrive after the pre agreed and paid for time. AVOID

I was looking for the mafell 18v plunge saw to which trade counter online had the full set at a good competitive price. Ordered and received everything perfectly in two days. Great service and will use again.

Placed an order for 10 fence panels on 31st March. Dispatched 1st April with DX. Tracking says delivery stuck at Glasgow since 2nd Apr. Contacted TCO via online form as no contact numbers on their site. No response. Think this may be a dodgy company and I've been scammed. Gonna contact my bank to start chargeback process. Avoid!!
