Good old fashioned customer service. I rang the company to order side steps & when I just happened to mention I would have liked them without silver coloured bits, Kayleigh said straight away those were also available. She steered me through the website quickly to find what I was after. Her other product knowledge was very good, instantly knowing what the load ratings were, etc. The items were delivered promptly & well packaged. Fitting was easy (thanks YouTube!). If I had to "nit pick" it would be that the support brackets are bare steel and will need treating to prevent corrosion. But hey, for what T.V.A. charge, I'm not complaining. The side steps have only just been fitted, but I have no reason to think they will let me down as the build quality appears very good.

I ordered Vauxhall Vivaro SWB Stainless Steel Viper Side Bars with Steps 76mm 2001 - on, at the cost of £132.60. The product looks really nice when on, gives the van a nice sporty look. But, the universal fittings which come in three parts, have a design flaw. My Vivaro is a 2006 model, the middle and front bolt brace fitments are flimsy, to the point the side bars can only be used for looks and have no practical use as steps. I am 14 stone, if I stood on them the steps will bend out of shape. The front bolt that has a welded metal brace has already failed after a month. The bar and brackets are really well made, but the welded bolts brace combo that marry the brackets to the chassis need to be redesigned. The bolts are already in a state of decay, after less than three month, surface rust admittedly. I contacted the company for replacement parts, got through to a human being instantly. The woman on the phone advised me a replacement part would be sent out the same day and conversations would take place with their mechanic to see what can be done to stop this occurring in the future. Customer support was really good, very polite and efficient, no time wasted. I'm not angry, upset or frustrated so no one star review. But I can't give the company a five star rating simply because of the design flaw, admittedly a small flaw, but still a flaw. The delivery was brilliant, well packaged etc, parts are 99% well made. Just the most important part which keeps the bars in place need to be redesigned, rethought through and tested better, quality control dropped the ball on those welded bolts braces combo. Maybe just more welding, the bolt brace combo is only spot welded in one place, but it wasn't the weld that failed, it was the 1-2mm piece of metal that is on either side of the hole drilled to marry the bolt to the brace. More weld would have reduced the stress on the weak part of the bolt brace combination. Anyway, that is my experience this far, nice looking product, just some parts need tested better for practicality and stress testing. Overall, I'm not unhappy with the product or the experience, I would buy from them again.

Update: A year after the purchase the brackets that hold the item on the van are repeatedly failing so have to be removed. Shame because the product was good, but the brackets that hold the item in place are very bad. Because of the defect it could potentially lead to someone getting hurt if they come off on the motorway while driving at high speed.

The level of service I recieved gave me a flashback to the good old days when companies appreciated the customer and the service was top notch! Something of a rarity these days. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Very good product fitted vehicle very well , the only criticism is i thought the packaging was poor and the product could have got damaged.
