I was led to believe I was speaking to…

I was led to believe I was speaking to an emirates representative over a booking I had previously made with emirates direct online. Robin who seems a little forward in his manner said I will need to adjust names on the booking to be able to fly, I was taken back and surprised by this when he said it will cost £150 for each name change total £300.
This was duly done and details given charges taken and a rebooking form sent to me, my partner rang emirates again as a little confused over the matter charge to find the booking names had not been changed on the system and emirates do not charge for doing it as booked through themselves direct and not through a third party.
I am at the moment awaiting a response as I am sure a full refund will be made to me in regard to this mistake as I am awaiting there reply from information sent.
I will add to this as required.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. The guy Robin booked me a flight from London to Bali business class, messed up the name and then tried to charge £400 for a letter change. Over charged me 8000 AUD for a business class flight I later found out by the airline he also booked me a return I didn’t know about. Then I find out my flight is the lowest value does not include the lounge access for over £4000. Do not use!!!! Complete scam

nightmare experience i never had, but received full amount after one year legal action

In June 2024, I booked cruise activities through a staff member named Maddy, who requested £340 upfront along with my cruise details. Despite receiving a confirmation letter, it only referenced the cruise (already paid for separately), not the activity. Despite repeated calls and emails—even while on the cruise—I received nothing for the £340 and had to pay again onboard.

Upon returning, the company promised a refund but failed to deliver. After Citizens Advice intervened and two warning letters were ignored, I filed a small claim. Though the £340 was eventually refunded, the company refused to cover the £50 court fee until I escalated further.

Do not give up! Legal action works. If a business withholds rightful refunds, pursue all avenues—including court—to recover all costs.

I’m not sure what went wrong

I’m not sure what went wrong ! Whether there was a scam between BA and travel performance staff… all I know is I had a sudden extreme health problem. I contacted BA to inform them - the next thing I know I’m dealing with a person from Travel Performance who tells me if I fill out a particular form with evidence and pay £350 they will sort out the cancellation with a full / partial refund to come. So.. I’ve paid full price for fares AND another £350 to process the cancellation and instigate some form of recompense. This was last October . I have emailed travel performance ( a particular member of staff who I will not name here ) and to date - nothing. So between BA and Travel Performance is there a scam being run by individuals?
All I know is I lost the cost of flights AND another additional £350.
Can anyone help ? Explain? Shed light?
