Travelmarvel Premium Cruise and Tours Reviews 

Lovely boat, great staff, good food, lovely cabins. Unfortunately, waste of time having French Veranda as always travelled at night so no views of scenery along river, apart from 11/2 hours through Wachau Valley section. When docked, again, no views as another boat, literally, right alongside. May as well had no window.

Staff were brilliant, ports of call excellent, cleanliness of room and ship generally great, made friends easily. The dinner was sometimes only fair and the afternoon snacks a little basic. Would definitely book again though.

The rep was excellent and all the staff friendly

Everything from accommodation, food, outings, all facilities om the boat were extremely well organised. Talk each evening and being introduced to all members of staff was a good touch. Felt comfortable and safe,knowing I could reach a member of staff quickly and easily.

Over all very good, but would have liked a bit more day time cruising (early evening).
Staff worked very hard and helpful, the boat was very clean food and drink plentiful, Akos the cruise director was excellent and very helpful. On walking tours it would have been more helpful if the segregation between efficient walkers and less efficient walkers was better.

Great scenic and beautiful cruise on the Danube. State room (owners’ suite) excellent (but for one thing, see below*). Staff were exemplary and everyone efficient and friendly. The tour director couldn’t have been more informative and the quality of local guides excellent. Food could be a little patchy but the dining room staff were attentive and very professional. *Two tiny quibbles. Local knowledge of traffic jams in Budapest would have saved a wasted hour on the coach, and one badly broken floor tile in our bathroom in a strategically inconvenient place should surely have been fixed? Ending on a positive note, however, the Illumination Cruise on our night in Budapest was a magical finale to a super holiday.

The staff were efficient and friendly. The room service was excellent. The food was very good. The excursions were excellent with superb guides who were very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. In all our holiday was lovely and will be remembered.

Our first river cruise and couldn't fault it. Cabin,crew,service and food all excellent. Every stop was superbly organised with optional guided tours. All tour guides spoke fluent English and were really knowledgable. Visited some wonderful places on and around the Danube and would thoroughly recommend.

All staff involved were excellent. Really enjoyed the on board entertainment as well as the included excursions.
Of particular merit was the restaurant where a good range of food was on offer and presented to the highest standard. The cruise director provided really useful information prior to all on shore visits where every tour guide was a wealth of knowledge.

Good communication with the passengers and great service on board.

The staff, accomodation, food and excursions were excellent, very helpful and kind, good entertainment too.
The departure day was disappointing as only 3 toilets available to all the passengers once they had left their rooms so constant queues , not ideal for the many elderly passengers, (my dad would have been horrified for the last 20 years when he was travelling) . The journey to the airport was made interesting by our knowledgeable guide but we arrived 4 hours before the flight and told ‘check in’ was open. It was not, so could not drop our bags. Was a very long walk to the eateries and shops, which several passengers were not able to manage, so not even a coffee for 4 hours. BA check in girls were miserable and rude, The flight excellent with lovely cabin crew.

This was my first river cruise and it lived up to every bit of my expectations.
Everything was catered for, excellent accommodation, food amazing on shore excursions and all made memorable by the wonderful staff both onboard and on shore. I loved the fact that consideration had been given to less mobile passengers with the option to select the gentle walking tours still taking in the same city sights.

Entertainment did not altogether match the age group, very loud, it emptied loung quite often

Everything was fantastic Organisation was first class, food amazing, staff wonderful and the entertainment with Noel & Sophia and cruise director brilliant
The excursions were good and can’t fault anything but one wee thing the fitness room was not brilliant Tried the machines but they didn’t seem to work with no instructions.we will definitely be travelling with you again and recommend to all my friends 👍

We had booked an Owner’s suite & were surprised that they was no stocking of free soft drinks in the fridge, not even water ( which was €2.60 a bottle when it was around 80 cents outside).
It transpired that Travelmarvel are a budget version of APT, which we were completely unaware of.
The staff were superb. On times, some of the included trips were a bit underwhelming & in the first week the food was not always great, but it did improve in the second week.
Overall, I enjoyed the trip as I was going to places I hadn’t been to before.
The entertainment that Sophia put on was really good.
Just a bit disappointed that we didn’t know that this was a “budget” cruise.

We booked the Reflections of the Rockies and Alaska Cruise with APT Tours which we would recommend. There were many highlights to our holiday particularly on the Canadian part helped by our tour guide, Meghan who was brilliant. Everything was well explained and any questions were dealt with quickly and professionally. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and that our itinerary throughout the journey was the best it could be. Well done Meghan.
The Rocky Mountaineer lived up to our expectations where the staff were very knowledgeable, entertaining and professional.
Our cruise to Alaska, was superb. Travel Marvel reps were again very professional and friendly.
We have not stopped talking about our Canada / Alaska holiday since returning home.

Great crew and service personnel.
Nice way of getting people to mix by free choice of tables for dining. Also random selection of bus choice on trips ashore.
