The Ryobi chainsaw that I bought is very quiet, light weight and so very easy to use. I was slightly intimidated at first by the idea of using a chainsaw, which can be dangerous, but the comprehensive instruction booklet provided and ease of use of the item itself has proved it to be the ideal product.
This is a brilliant edition to my garden armory. It deals very easily with cutting up the trunks of various shrubs and is light and easy to use.
The chainsaw itself is brilliant. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is I’m having such a lot of trouble getting hold the chain as you’ve been out of stock for awhile and finding somewhere else where I can get it at a reasonable price is difficult also the cover for the chain is very tight. It’s a job to slide on and slide off probably almost impossible for a female to do apart from that very happy.
You don’t expect the most powerful performance from a 18v battery chainsaw, and you don’t get it - you have to let it take its time on larger cuts… the battery gets eaten alive… I got through 2 x 4ah and 2 x 3ah batteries in less than an hour’s work. Admittedly, many were larger than the recommended log diameter. Still very useful for small work away from power sockets and 100% more pleasant to use than petrol.

I bought this unit for a bit of garden clearance, and chopping small firewood. Before I got to use it for my own purposes, I offered to help a contractor friend of mine clear trees and scrub for 1 of his customers. I took this chainsaw along to get his opinion and some training on the job. An hour in to the job his petrol chainsaw broke down, and for the next three hours he used the ryobi. He was extremely impressed with it , in particular the amount of cuts per battery 6 amp backed up with my spare 4amp.
Great little chain saw. Very easy to use. The instructions that come with it are HOPELESS. Learning how to tighten the chain is a nightmare until you 'get it' - and then it is very easy.
I love this. I did get a bit confused ref installing the chain onto the bar but once sorted all works really well and i dont have to go through the process of fuelling up my petrol chainsaw. the one observation i do have is that new batteries are better to run this as i drain my exisiting batteries really quickly. other than that the tool is great and really efficient. Love it
All good. Recommend product.
Its a lightweight tool for small braches until 10cm. Working in hedges (I had to reduce a hedge) its loosing the chain. I am a little bit disappointed. I expected a better quality.

Bought this to cut pallets up for logburner. A 5AH battery lasts for about 25 minutes so happy with that.
works well used on a few logs seems cracking
Broken chain guard on arrival. Have tried to get Ryobi to contact me to arrange a replacement 4 times now and received reply as follows: "Thank you for submitting your query. Take this email as confirmation that your enquiry has been safely received and we will respond to you shortly." Shortly is probably not the correct word as first attempt request was over 3 weeks ago. If no response by Monday I will be forced to listen to music on Ryobi customer "service" phone line again.

"Best electric chainsaw EVERRR, probably", he thyped, having used only 2, but... That wonderful chain tensioning system you have makes it SO EASY to set up/use/take apart to clean/use again really quickly and easily. I had read glowing reviews of it's slower chain speed sibling, but when looking in the website saw THIS one, and... Having used it a few times, I'm in LOVE💖 Anyway, THANKS, Ryobi! It's my new favourite tool, and I'm looking now at getting a new Drill and/or Driver soon, so you'll likely be my first stop. Seen some at B&Q, but I'll likely buy direct again. ❤️
Lovely little chainsaw. The only complaint I have is that the booklet is not clear on how to put it together. Written instructions would be much clearer than little pictures that you have to try and work out what they mean and what they are telling you to do.
Much easier to use than my old corded chainsaw. Just insert the battery and get going.
This chainsaw is exactly what I required, and goes beyond my expectations.
Exactly as it says, powerful and quiet.
Good saw works well especially with a 5ah battery , as quiet as the makita equivalent but slightly less power, even still a great machine and well pleased especially with the tool less adjustment
The guys were using other chainsaws and were not working properly i brought the Ryobi out and they couldn’t believe how good ur was, really impressed
