Terrible communications and very unreliable service

Item ordered on 16 April. Nothing heard or received from UK Furniture Direct (except an Invoice and a Sage Pay email on 16 April saying they have already processed my payment). Now 9 May. Email sent a week ago - no response. Phone messages left a few days ago - no response. Tried both the 0161 and 0843 numbers today - "unavailable" message both times. Has this company gone bust? With customer service like this it probably should, but they have already taken my money!

Update. Posted this about 10 minutes ago. Have just received phone call from UK Furniture Direct saying my unit could be delivered tomorrow!

Update 15 May. They tried to deliver 2 more units today - unfortunately my wife sent them back! Having waited so long, suddenly we can't move for office furniture. Joking aside, it's not a very good indication of efficient administration. Perhaps there is an explanation - but I haven't heard anything further from UK Furniture Direct.

My experience with this company has been very poor service!

My experience with this company has been very poor! Ordered a sideboard and after repeated phone calls was told it wasn't available until July (ordered in April) still trying to get my £235 back and having to continually phone them!! I won't ever use them!! Appalling service! 😡

Brilea Lynx 3 Drawers Bedside Units

Really happy with these drawers. Silver Handles are a bit cheap but I bought black ones on eBay and the drawers look a lot more expensive. Quality is good for the price. I am using these in my lounge and am very happy with them. One cam lock was missing and within days I received replacement. Excellent after service. Would highly recommend

Poor service

Was happy with my first order even tho there were a few marks on the wood. Not happy with the second order. There're email response is practically non existent. My order was out of stock even though the website didnt mention this. I order something else instead and that's also not in stock , but nobody told me this. I have been waiting and waiting for a response and my delivery but nothing

Product was far better quality than I …

Product was far better quality than I expected for the price. £30 cheaper than similar products I looked at. Fast, free delivery. Definitely recommend.

Excellent products and service

Excellent products, I've had some of the corona range before and love them. Great customer service, kept well informed regarding delivery etc. Would (and probably will) buy from UK Furniture Direct again.

AVOID AT ALL COST (updated)

Worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with! Website states will contact you if item is out of stock? Well that never happened! Called on the Wednesday to be told items will be Collected that day and I would receive a call from couriers to arrange delivery which would be that weekend.....nope, no call so rand back Friday to be told couriers would be collecting that day and I would receive phone call to arrange delivery which would be following week and oh the desk is out of stock until April! Each time I rang they would say "I'll need to ring someone so I'll call you back"! What a crock, no call, email nothing! Luckily I paid by credit card so am considering disputing the who thing. I could've shopped the tree down and carved the furniture myself in the time it's taken them! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

***following the above review I was contacted by Connor at UKFD and offered compensation of £80 to amend my review, which I said I would be happy to do once the matter had been resolved and the furniture delivered, guess what.......I'm still awaiting part of the delivery! Have received texts and emails advising the desk would be delivered today 21/04/2017 I get a text stating it will be delivered 06/05/17! So I rang them at 11.28am and was told "I'll ring you back in 20minutes", 3hrs later no contact so rang them back and was told "I'm still looking into it I'll ring you within the hour". Still no call so just rang and was told it'll be delivered end of next week, sorry and hung up!
Well I have done as they asked and amended my review to what I can only describe as the worst company ever and if you order from them at your own risk, you have been warned. Thank god I payed by credit card as I am now going to contact my bank and lodge a complaint against them for non receipt of goods and if anyone would like to see the email from them asking me to amend the review once they had compensated me please ask!

Great Service

I spent weeks looking online for the right bed for my 5 year old son. I liked the look of this one from the start and it was the right size and a great price. For some reason; possibly reviews i had read or just the fact that it was such a good price, i wondered if it would look a bit cheap and nasty. Well, im delighted to say it really doesnt, im totally chuffed with it and know i made the right decision!

Good service but assembly instruction useless

The process of buying the furniture and delivery was excellent, but the assembly instructions were useless and none of the parts were marked. It was nearly impossible to assemble took us ages.

Got there in the end - perfect items, strange delay.

I ordered a pair of bedside cabinets, 2 showing 'in stock', after ordering, received a confirmation so waited.
A week later, received an e-mail saying 'out of stock, will be delivered mid-Feb'. Perplexed, e-mailed, never got reply. Oh well, OK to wait......
Mid Feb duly arrived, but no signs of units, or communication, decided to ring, 'helpful' voice said he would check with manufacturers, and get back to me, never did.........
Rang again next day, got Sandra (Office manager) who said that I SHOULD have got a call, 'leave it with me', never returned call.....
Rang again, asked for Sandra, heard a conversation across desk, then 'sorry, not in the office (!)'
Next call DID result in a call back, saying would be delivered next week - surprise surprise, they weren't.
Finally arrived, perfect condition, on the date/time promised by courier. I would buy from UKfurniture again, just be happier if they gave me a date & stuck to it, even if it was further in the future than ideal. Really friendly on the phone, probably MEAN what they say, at the time!!

Damaged Wardrobe

Good communication throughout ordering & delivery process.
Wardrobe was damaged in 2 places (one being badly damaged) but I was without a wardrobe so had it had to be built. I'm heavily pregnant so my dad & brother in law built it - it took them a very long time. I emailed the company including pictures of the damages, I was offered either compensation or replacement parts, as the wardrobe took so long to build I opted for compensation. After 7-10 days I was told they could offer me no compensation but a measly 5% off any future orders. This is not needed as I will not order from this company again. Poor after sales service.

Rubbish Company

I order an item from this company on the 20/01/17 and paid in full. But after 3 weeks only part of the order arrived. It says delivery 7 - 10 DAYS so thats a laugh to start with. Then I contacted them and was told they would send the other section. After many telephone calls and E - mails between myself and this company plus many telephone calls, each time I was told it would be on the next delivery. But after another 6 weeks still nothing. Then I was told a complete set would sent. But I only need one part of the two items as I already had one part. Then I was given a consignment number which did not work with the couriers.Ha! They play games with customers.
But today a delivery turned up with both sections, But the courier did not have any paperwork or knowledge at there depot of these parcels. Plus I have taken time off work waiting for delivery. This company take your money and do not full fill there relations.
I have reported this company to Trading Standards as it could come under Fraud. Also they need to be on Watch Dog.
Will never ever use or have items from this Company ever again. What a Rubbish Company and Customer Services.
