Excellent Service

I visited furniture direct store in search of a bed sofa for my daughter. The salesman at the show room was very polite and took the time to show me around.
I chose to have my item delivered due to it being to big to fit in my car, which I received next day. The delivery drivers were friendly on arrival and professional, I was most happy that I received a courtesy call to say my item would be delivered within the hour.
My daughter is very happy with her new bed when she stays and finds it very comfortable. I am also pleased with its design, looks lovely.

Would recommend this company to a friend.

Waste of time!

If you're hoping to deal with a professional company with good service then avoid U.K. furniture direct like the plague. I ordered 2 wardrobes and 3 bedside cabinets at a cost of over £600, I waited nearly 2 weeks to get a delivery date to start with, swapped my days off so I could be in to accept delivery. I had an e-mail to say delivery would be between 8 and 11am on a Friday, I received a call from the delivery driver on the Thursday at 5.30pm to say he wanted to deliver my order but as I wasn't there to receive it I said no it would have to be on Friday.i waited all morning for the delivery which never arrived, rang up to chase the order to be told they were running late but was definitely on the lorry for delivery, finally at 2.30pm spoke to another person in the office who tried once to ring the driver and then told me I can't get him on the phone I'll give you the number and you can keep trying, when I said I wasn't happy to do that he miraculously got hold of the driver who said he'd tried to deliver but was refused so the order had been returned. Why would you send notification of a delivery date and time if you just turn up when you feel like it. Needless to say I've asked for a refund, if it take as long to get that as it did the furniture I'll be waiting a long time. I don't know what the furniture was like but the delivery and customer service is dreadful, will not be recommending these to anyone I know.

Great Item. Great Service

I have had several items from this company, and have been absolutely delighted with them, real top quality items, and the service was also fantastic, the customer service team are second to none, they are friendly courteous and really knowledgeable, all in all a great shopping experience, and I will be using them again!!

Where do I start!!!!

CAN I GIVE MINUS STARS!!!!! Oh my gosh.. if you want an item that doesn't turn up on time, Then go ahead order with this 'professional' company.
The young lad that's on customer service will tell you lies, the managed will put the phone down on you after claims of swearing and then they still exceed the 10 day delivery period.
I ordered on the 6th..I'm writing this review on the 23rd and still won't get my item til the 30th!!! All because they can't communicate with you and the delivery company only delivers in my area on Mondays! I'm in the Midlands! Not a million miles away!

I've had countless days off work and wasted X amount of money on phone bills..
Waste of time in my opinion as I could have gone with a different company and had my bed by 9th January.

Only plus point is Bryan on customer service give that guy a pay rise!
I'm tempted to drive up to Manchester (1hr 30mins away) and collect the bed myself.

Excellent value

I bought the cambourne sideboard and book shelf for under £200. Family and friends have all commented on how good it looks in my living room. They're shocked when I tell them how much I paid. The furniture looks really classy and it was easy to assemble. I'd definitely recommend this company.

Happy bunny

Excellent service and communication. Delivery was quick and driver very pleasant. Bed is amazing value for such a chunky bed very pleased lovely bed.

Still waiting for my table to be delivered!!!!!

I ordered and paid for a table and 4 dining chairs on 1st Dec, as these items were marked "in stock" I expected them to be delivered fairly quickly. I heard nothing from anyone but the chairs were delivered on the 11th Dec, out of the blue, luckily I was at home to sign for them. I rang and was told the table would be delivered "straight from the manufacturer" (although it stated on the website the table was in stock??) Eventually I received an e-mail saying the table would be delivered on the 16th, but it did not arrive.I once again telephoned UK furniture direct and they rang me back after speaking to the manufacturer to say it will be delivered tomorrow 20th Dec. I do hope so!!

P.S.

Rob thanks for your apologetic reply, glad to say the table did arrive as promised! I am pleased with the table and chairs and the "hiccup" over delivery has not put me off buying from Uk furniture drect in the future. All's well that end's well!!

Waste of time

Website showed 11 study leather and canvas chairs in stock, ordered 2 on 29/11/16 and accepted the discount offered.
1/12/16 they informed me the chairs were discontinued because of quality faults and cancelled my order.
WHY ADVERTISE IN THE FIRST PLACE !!!

Hello Jeff, sorry that the deal we agreed did not happen but we are only as accurate as the information given by our suppliers. They were showing these on stock so we in turn published this figure on our website. We only found out about the QC issue and discontinuation when we placed the order with them.
The last thing we want to do is waste your time and our own time and money selling goods that are not available so we have reviewed the communication channels with this supplier to ensure situations like this do not occur again.
Thanks for the feedback, although I do feel 2 stars is a bit harsh for something we have no real control over and would respectfully ask that you re assess your review if you feel necessary. Thanks, Rob

Corona 3 & 4 Drawer Chest

We saw the 4 drawer chest in a local shop and loved the look of it, so my wife asked me to have a look online to have a look into ordering one.

After a few minutes I came across the uk furniture direct site - and I am very glad I did, the price was so much cheaper than what we saw instore that we decided to add a bit extra and get the 3 drawer as well.

Delivery was spot on, just as promised with good communication throughout the transaction - very impressed with that......and the items, once delivered were very easy to assemble and gave me & the mrs something to do on a Saturday afternoon.

All in all, very pleased with my experience with the company as a first time buyer, great product, amazing price and on time delivery with good comms - I will be buying from here in the future for sure.

Terrible.

The item described was not pine but MDF with a pine top.
I am still waiting almost a week on for it to be collected and for a refund The customer care over the telephone was good as in there was no quibble about settling my complaint however the item.is still sat in my house and I have been told just to wait for a call from the company that will collect . I have no idea how long this will take ? Very poor arrangement . I will not be purchasing anything from this company again.

If Only I Could Give A Minus Score!

Where to start? Have ordered a wine rack come sideboard on the 9th August 2016, as of writing this review on 9th November 2016 I still have not received the item. When I ordered the item on their website it stated that they had two in stock and delivery would be 7-10 days, within that time scale I received a voice message to announce that the couriers had my item and needed to book delivery [Happy Days!]. I Phoned the courier company to book delivery only to be told that they did not have the item and could not deliver, baffled at this I phoned the company to find out what was going on, the person I spoke to did not understand as it was showing on their records as ready for delivery, they said they would investigate and call me back, they did not. I tried to phone them several times only to get a dead tone on the phone, I emailed them and got no response , I started to worry that it was some sham company and they had made away with my £218, but eventually I received an email on the 23rd of September informing me that the item was out of stock until the end of October, did I want to go ahead with the order, the manufacturer did not inform them and it took chasing on their side to find out. I said that I would wait, but was annoyed that I could have gone with another website that was more expensive but had over 10 in stock and I was also annoyed that their website was still showing 2 in stock. They replied:

Good Morning,

I have gone on to the admin side and taken this out of stock on the website, again I am very sorry.
We will contact you with a date once it comes to our couriers from the supplier, there will be no further delays.

Kind Regards"

At the beginning of November I sent email inquiring to the progress to be told that:

Good Morning,

The item is docking on the 3rd, once it is with the supplier we will collect this and book you in for delivery.

Kind Regards"

This was nearly 10 days ago and I have now just sent another email to get update, my advise is to ignore all they questionable 5 out of 5 star reviews on here and if you see the same item slightly more expensive elsewhere buy it.

PS. Isn't it funny how on this website they only publish responses to the good reviews.

PPS. I most probably could have made my own by now, with allowing for a few failed attempts as well.

following shortly after. I have gone on their site and it says ETA January. And I called them to ask if yours was in stock, they said it is not.

They quote do not know why these items had not been on the last shipment, I am very very sorry about this.

Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

With regards to the companies response to my review, the only time they updated me with information was when I had to chase them up about where my goods were. Also, I am buying the goods from UKFD, not from their wholesalers, I do not even know who their wholesalers are, so why should I direct my review at them, UKFD took my money and entered into a contract with myself to deliver these goods so that is who I will review.
