should have googled this first!!! just got totally rinsed ! £130 to adjust a dropped upvc front door, absolute con!!!!!! and its still out. stay clear from this.

Scammers. Turned up and quoted £250 to gain entry. Also advised that the barrel would need to be drilled through and replaced (clearly not a locksmith). Turned them away and called a local locksmith who picked it within 2 minutes and charged half the price.

Website quotes low prices. We were not told prices before work was started. Price for a new lock was over £300!
2 weeks later and the lock is broken and they are not claiming liability. Called a real locksmith and they are appalled by this service and the prices!

I called Johnathan and Sons this morning, seeking help with my door lock. On the phone, a man assured me he was working nearby and could visit within 10 to 20 minutes to inspect the lock and agree on a price without any charge. Trusting his word, I provided my address. However, more than 30 minutes later, another man called me—though he didn’t seem to be the same person I initially spoke to.

Eventually, this man arrived at my house. Despite his unexpected behavior, I offered to let him inside due to the cold weather, showing goodwill. But as soon as he entered, he started disassembling my door lock without asking for my permission. He moved so quickly that I didn’t have time to react. When I stopped him and asked him to return the bolt which he took from my door so we could agree on a price, he denied taking it—even though I saw him put it in his pocket.

Feeling uneasy, I asked him to reinstall the lock and leave, but he demanded £44 plus £50 before he would do anything. He still refused to return the bolt. His behavior made me feel powerless and extremely upset. During the argument, he became violent and insulting. He grabbed my fingers in an aggressive manner and verbally attacked me, making derogatory comments about my smell—even though it was he who was reeked of smoke.

At this point, I felt trapped. Without the bolt, my lock was unusable. I tried to compromise, asking him to show me a lock I could use. Initially, he said it would cost £25, but he suddenly increased the price to £85. Before I could agree, he installed the lock without my consent—taking less than 30 seconds—and then demanded £130 for the keys.

When I questioned him about the brand of the lock and why it was so expensive (since non-branded locks typically cost around £20), he refused to answer. Instead, he insisted he was busy and pressured me to pay. He said he wouldn’t give me the keys unless I paid. Feeling helpless and overwhelmed, I ended up paying him £125 just to resolve the situation, then found out this man is from the UK Local Locksmith.

As he left, he made discriminatory and insulting gestures at me from my front garden, further adding to my distress. This entire experience left me angry, humiliated, and cheated!

Scam company . Are also known to make scam phone calls when their number is googled . Over charges and refused to leave until I had paid . Wanted me to pay without an invoice and charged over 300 quid for a 15 minute job . Over 200 quid for the drilling the lock alone , when the door could have been opened without drilling

I’m harassed by their colleague! They sent a team member who quoted me double the price upon arrival which was never agreed or discussed and I refused to pay and didn’t want the service. He was so suspicious and got so pissed off that when I went out after an hour I saw he put a key with strong glue in my main door door and damaged my lock and door. I have the footage of him; his car and his face captured my camera. I’m going to police station now to complaint about him and will sue them.

Called out to remove a key stuck in the lock. They then tried to claim that it would cost £150 to remove the stuck key (destroy the lock) then £250+labour to fit a new ‘high security lock’. I refused and sent them away. The lock was removed with 3 screws, and the broken key removed with pliers. They blatantly knew it was an easy fix yet tried to scam for £400+ new lock etc… totally dis-honest. They still charged £79 call-out despite doing absolutely nothing. AVOID AT ALL COST

This company should not be trading…. They Are SCAMMERS…. They have just charge my tenants £1000 for 30 minutes work to gain access and change the lock… they wont return my calls..

Absolutely disgraceful, my partner and I got told that the repairs will cost between £140-£260 for a change of Yale doormasternsnd a lock barrel. My partner was in the house during the second repairs as he didn't have the parts and charges her a following £297, whereas I already paid £150 the night before.

No invoice was provided, no breakdown of costs or labour or materials.

Avoid these scammers, seriously. Good thing I have cameras and the reg plate has been recorded so the police will be informed.

Tenant ripped off by this "locksmith" - charged £508 for changing a lock (with a substandard cheap replacement). Reported to Trading Standards.

The work done to my door was below standard, after fitting new lock the door doesn't close. I was quoted to have to different locks put on my door bur when the locksmith came he said he was told that it was only one lock he should fit. I tried to call and message the company I am getting no replies. Very expensive for a very bad job. Do not use them.

Came out to my tenant to replace a door lock. Charged £568. Charged in my opinion way over the top for parts. Won't be using them again.

Not a legitimate locksmith service.
This company sells a typical locksmith scam, whereby they will quote you a competitive price.

They send out a fake locksmith who will mislead you into thinking that your lock cannot be picked and has to be drilled(destroyed) to then try and sell you a replacement service at rip-off prices.

They do not even have a real office.

Don't make the same mistake as me. Avoid!

I confirmed the price twice on a phone call when the locksman arrived after 2.5 hours he charged me double the amount which I confirmed on a phone call it was better for me to break the lock than call them. Please avoid them.

The lady on the phone told me 49 when he showed it . The price went to 120

Website says prices start from £39, and I was told I would be able to review quotes before I agreed to anything!
Initially the man tells me it's going to be £169 to drill the lock and then I'll have to pay for a new lock too. I said I couldn't afford that and would just have to go to my mums and call the letting agent in the morning as I was locked out with my toddler and he goes okay let me try without damaging the lock.
He the proceeds to slide a piece of plastic in the door, pops the lock in 2 seconds flat and charges me £99 for the pleasure. When I challenged the price he states that £99 is their minimum charge for labour alone!
Do not use this company! They take advantage of desperate and vulnerable people.

Really poor service … AVOID. My wife was on her own when the locksmith arrived and was phoning me at work after 15 minutes when she found out the prices were escalating higher and higher. When I spoke to the locksmith his tone was unprofessional and rude and I had to ask him to be more respectful towards me and my wife who by this point just wanted him out. I was left with a big bill and a door that wouldn’t even shut properly. When I phoned the technician he said it wasn’t his problem, he had replaced the lock and that was that. I ended up taking the lock back out, chiselling the door deeper and re fitting the lock just to get the door closed. Very disappointed with the overall experience.
