Great product....slow delivery

Really happy with swegway for my 12 year old daughter.
However, I had to contact the company to chase up why it hadn't been delivered within their specified dates.....found it very difficult to get through on the phone...when I did speak with them they said her chosen colour was out of stock why is why they had not delivered. I asked why they hadn't contacted me to offer a different colour/refund which they couldn't answer. They had already taken payment so I felt I shoud have been informed
Product works well, I have no concerns and have a very happy daughter !!

Faulty products, bad customer service, deleted reviews, and £370+ down!

If I could give this company a minus star rating, I would. I spent £370 on a Segway for my daughter, for Christmas. She's been after one for a year, but this as a single mother was a BIG ask. I was BEYOND excited that I'd managed to get her this for her Christmas gift, but have been left devastated by the faulty product I've received, the shocking customer service and the rude 'manager' of the store. I inboxed and called the company many times before I got hold of anyone for any kind of response. The first gentleman I managed to speak to, told me he'd get back to me, but would send a free post sticker and my Segway would be under warranty and fixed.. After hearing nothing back, and after endless unanswered phone calls, I had the delight of getting through to the 'manager' of the store. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a company, their attitude and their customer service. She decided by LOOKING AT A PHOTOGRAPH, that there was NO FAULT with my Segway, and any damage they may find inside would be caused by my daughter!!! The Segway was juddering, slow and when I looked the problem up ( as it was Christmas and they were closed) it said to recalibrate the board and all should be ok. I had to do this a number of times. The probem continued. Then, the board spun out of control and again, I recallibreated it, hoping this would sort the problem. However, the next day; it did the same again. Spun around uncontrollably, and flipped over. Unfortunately this time, it cracked the casing. After MANY phone calls I eventually managed to get through. And, denying there was any fault to begin with, by looking at a picture, this wonderful company have decided there was no fault, but in case I send it back and they DO detect one (shock horror as they WILL) it will be my daughters fault, in turn not under warranty, and I will have to pay to have it fixed. £370 for around 4 DAYS use, a rude manager, uncontactable customer services, one devastated daughter ( and me) later, I am left with a broken board a ruined Christmas and not so much as a sorry. Been told I have to pay £38 to send it back to the shambles, to then pay more for a faulty product to be fixed! I have looked this fault up online and spoken to other outlets, and every other company fixes it! There is probably air under the foot pad, and the rubber parts inside are probably too long. Not sure you can tell this from a picture!! Also, when I informed the 'manager' that I have noticed they are DELETING ALL BAD POSTS ( and believe me when I say, I've seen quite a few since!) from their Facebook page (and blocking them!!) she said she could do what she likes as its their page and Trustpilot was what mattered! So here's my review. Hopefully it will make people think twice from using this company and ending up in the same position as me, and many others (even if their comments have been deleted!!!!) I'm GUTTED.

Excellent service!

Great initial service, delivery etc but the Swegway did stop working after four days of use. Panicked when I went online and read the customer reviews. I emailed the company and explained the problem and was pleased with the quick response. Had to send a video of the Swegway and how it didn't switch on, Then was asked to pay £20 for collection which I did. Within a week this money was refunded to my account with the return of our fixed Swegway. All in all great customer service and highly recommend this company. Don't get put off by the negative reviews!

Avoid!!

**UPDATE AGAIN**
(September 2017)
Barclays could not do chargeback as it wasn't faulty on arrival, it developed its faults within a few weeks of use and Swegway know this is due to inferior parts
- I am now left with NO kart, NO Swegway hoverboard and NO money.
They have my £380 and my faulty products. AWFUL COMPANY.

Next step small claims court as they cannot legally override your consumer rights.

**UPDATE**
Trading Standards contacted the company, so they finally responded to me!
They tried to charge me £20 to return, I refused, and I spoke on the phone with "Ryan" who promised there would be no charge if the problem with my board was the sensors, as we suspected. (as they have added a nice little loophole to their warranty as these keep failing)
Liar.
After they collected they contacted me requesting £60 to fix the sensors and courier charge.
Nope, after three weeks of use, I am refusing to pay for a repair of an internal part. Buyers BEWARE. Dodgy company.
My bank is now processing a charge back with evidence from Trading Standards.
Anyone with a faulty swegkart, please report, as Im aware now of many with the same issue! They are refusing to give manufacturers details to Trading Standards currently.

Awful customer services, faulty products, dangerous and a huge waste of money.
Firstly they lied about a delivery, saying it was signed for at my address when in fact, I later found out it was out of stock and wasn't dispatched until a week later!!
Then Xmas day comes, all seems good. But, a few days in, the front wheel comes off the swegkart causing my son to be thrown forward, ijnuring himself.
Swegway asked for me to send in photos, then ignored me.
Phones never answered. Emails never replied to.

Shortly after this the Swegway itself stops working, two green lights. Reset does nothing.
One email eventually accuses me of breaking the swegkart or incorrectly attaching the front wheel (which comes already attached, so how I attached it wrong I dont know?) and says I'll be charged for repair. (My sons best friends one also lost a wheel within a day)
No response about the faulty swegway itself.
Further emails, phone calls, nothing.
Disgusting company.

Segway the best way

Larger & heavier than I expected but absolutely brilliant. I've got 7 kids aged 6-24 and it's definitely an all age toy. Runs for about an hour on a 3 hour charge. Very sturdy and my 10 year old goes sooo fast. We have the gold and it's already chipped 24 hours later but it's to be used not stroked so hay ho. Well packed & quick delivery from segwayuk with clear instructions.

Prompt, hassle free service

Ordered the chrome gold limited edition swegway on the Wednesday, item delivered the following Tuesday. I was informed of the status of my order all the way. Excellent service. Excellent product...one very happy 9-year old!

Recovered our Xmas

Sadly I did not check the delivery till 23rd Dec and found we where missing a device.
But then I realised the value of spending a little more with an established reputable company, because once I raised the issue they moved heaven and earth to make things right. They apologised for the error and then courteously, quickly and efficiently put it right, with a delivery man at my door before 11am on Xmas eve.
Now That's What I call Service!
BTW The kids Swegways are ace and they can't stop playing on them.

shocking customer service and faulty product

Ordered a board at the end of October for my daughter for Christmas. Board arrived quickly, yet when she tried using it on Christmas morning all it did was judder and throw her off. When checking the board noticed a screw missing from the bottom, recalibrated it as says in instructions but still juddered and another screw fell out. Faulty and dangerous. Emailed customer service, all I got was an email saying the rider may be too light, how does that cause screws to fall out. Was ignored after that for each email I sent. Had to phone 7 days later, asked me to send pictures,which I did, asked me again what the problem was, told them only to be ignored AGAIN!!! Phoned again told they would only repair it but I would have to pay £20, asked for details of return... Guess what...ignored again, sent email...still ignored. Avoid buying from this company, ruined my daughter's Christmas with products that do not work and put her in danger. Going to take it further!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I bought a board for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas which cost me £350 on the 25/11/2016.

As they state on their website at busy periods it can take up to 7 working days to arrive.

Therefore as Christmas was fast approaching I waiting the 7 days, and on the last day I rung to be told the board was delivered and signed for 3 days prior to this. After several phone calls they needed 24 hours to investigate this but was promised I would get a phone call back. Again waited a further 24 hours no phone call, so I had to call them back yet again to be told I would have to wait a further 24 hours. Luckily for me I have CCTV and told them I can prove no board was delivered to my address, therefore they sent a replacement after various arguments.

The board did arrive the next day, but when I checked the contents the charger does not have a UK plug on it. Again I had to phone this complaint and was told to email them with a picture of the charger. I did this straight away, yet again make another phone call to be told another would be sent out for next day delivery. It's Christmas day today and still no charger has arrived, my daughter loves the board, but after about an hour use the battery has died and so I've changed the charger we have to a UK plug, and guess what - the charger doesn't work!

I'm so furious that I can't wait until they are back from their Christmas break as I will be asking for a full refund, I'm amazed they can stay in business!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Just spoke to customer services today and they will not refund or replace the product as they state the warranty is invalid as I took the power supply apart, only been working in electronics for over 25 years so what do I know!

I have sent them a small claims summon today!

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Great swegway. Lovely inwhite with blue lights. First one wouldn't charge which was devastating 2 days before Christmas. The customer service was amazing! ! New fully charged one was delivered by 8.30 the following morning. Well done to Yavaj who rang, emailed and reassured me through the whole process. Thank you.

Dishonest company misleading customers

Ordered main xmas present for child
Nothing arrives
Told item dispatched via email
Nothing arrives
Rang swegway 4 times
Told that uk mail have tried to deliver on 15/12 and 23/12 and I could collect from local depot
I know this was not true so Rang uk mail
They told me that they were still awaiting the product from swegway to then post, but I could collect from Sheffield (3 hours away)
So annoyed. I do not like having to review products but felt compelled
If you have the product just send it
If you don't, then just say so

I am sorry you are not happy with our customer service so far. We can confirm that we advised all our customers we would begin to dispatch the pre-ordered item you bought FROM the 15 December. Therefore all our pre-order customers' orders were being shipped out in chronological order.
Your item was indeed collected from our warehouse on the 21st December, and was with the delivery driver for the 22nd December. Delivery was failed so they then attempted again in 23rd December but again were not able to deliver your item because there was no one home. I can see you spoke to my colleague on the 23rd of December and they advised you of this, however there are no further notes with our courier evidencing that you rang them to chase up the delivery on the correct consignment number we provided with you. We are happy to deal with your complaint Peter, and get this SWEGWAY out to you as soon as possible, as the item it is now being returned to us. Please ring us on our customer services number and or customer services email so we can look into this further for you.

Appalling service

VERIFIED BUYER

I wish I could write a good review about my experience when purchasing a Swegway for my daughter. In the limited time it was working she enjoyed the product immensely, it only worked for just over a week before a fault developed.

The Customer Service team at UK Swegway appear extremely disorganised and overall I've had a very frustrating experience with 'generic emails requesting video evidence' constantly being received when trying to communicate further information. They are very slow to respond and took two weeks to send a payment link and returns labels, not to mention the refund for items which are found to be out of stock (it took a month to receive the refund after several emails).

It was two agonising and frustrating weeks till they collected the faulty product for warranty repair. A further two weeks for the 'repair' and then when Swegway returned it still has the same fault.

UK Swegways appear reluctant to replace (which is my statutory rights - within 30days I am entitled to request a replacement OR refund), instead citing the technician has spent personal time on the second repair, despite my initial request for a replacement - now two months after original purchase I realise it's a lost cause trying to deal with this organisation. After battling to get a refund, and being constantly ignored, I opened a chargeback request (Section 75) with my bank. UKSwegway finally processed the refund a few days later. Avoid purchasing from UKSwegway if you want a quality product and service!

I wish I'd found the negative reviews and gone into this purchase with my eyes open! Check your consumer rights and know what you are entitled to.

This is not an excuse for the delay in response, but rather a reason for why we struggled to reply to your email within a 24 hour turn around period. Again I apologise for this. With regards to your order, a full refund was issued when you originally requested this, so I am sorry it has taken so long for you to receive this as cleared funds into your account. Usually our accounts department, and the clearing bank need to carry out clearing checks.

In regards to your consumer rights by all means we abide by fair trading standards, and are regulated in doing so. If at any point you feel we may be in breach of these, please don't hesitate to contact us. Again I can only apologise for the the poor customer service you received and delay in responses and we will make every attempt to improve on our service in the future following your feedback on the delayed responses and your repair request.

The jury is out

I bought a swegway for my daughters birthday. As it's still a few days away I can't comment on the product other than to say a quick charge and test ride were successful.

I've been left a little disappointed by the buying experience. I visited the shop twice and the staff were helpful and spent time talking to me about the product. Good start, but the actual purchase left me with a bad feeling.

The company promote themselves on the quality of the product, and in particular the safety and certification of the chargers they supply. I was therefore very disappointed when the charger that came out of the box was a non-certified unit. When I questioned this the salesperson attempted to locate the CE and FCC markings on the charger. When I pointed out there was none, she said they must be on the plug.

I felt like I was being fobbed off, and was not prepared to accept this charging unit. It was only then that a different charger was produced from the back room complete with the necessary CE and FCC markings.

Apologies on the issues you had with your order in store.
To confirm the chargers are CE marked and made to British Standard, as are our batteries which are manufactured by SAMSUNG.

The charger plugs themselves are German-engineered, therefore have the European two-pin power ends. So all we do to aid our customers is to exchange this two pin, to a 3 pin charger that will work in English plugs, which is why my colleague may have gone to the back room and returned with a different plug when you were in store.
I can confirm that all our chargers, batteries and components are made to British and EU regulatory standards. So I apologise if this experience faltered your confidence in our company, but understandably why, considering the previous horror stories of un-CE marked or regulatory hover-boards, which are illegal and against British Regulations.

Best Christmas Pressie

Absolutely outstanding customer service, great communication and prompt delivery. A great range of boards at fantastic prices. With custom skins, bags & cart handles. Up to date info on facook plus you get your own sign in just incase you need assistance. all I could ask for from an online shop. Will defo recommend and will be shopping for more add ons for my boys hover board. An absolute delight to shop with.
