After two surveys then a delay in getting funding[notUnion Technical fault ] job went ahead in Feb this year finishing April. A lot of upheaval but good job well done.

The whole experience from start to finish went really well. I was kept well informed from the survey booking start of the process right up to the very end of the installation.
The advice given was useful. The installation team were brilliant. The team were very tidy and made the whole experience as stress free as it could be. I would highly recommend Union technical!

Very accommodating company. They fitted the installation around our timescale, were able to enable us to keep our Rayburn (amazing), kept to arranged times for visits and were able to help with a small glitch after contractor had left. A great service.

In august, two contractors from Union Technical came to fit solar panels on the roof about 9 am. An electrician arrived about 10 am. The whole thing was up and running by about 3 pm; they were polite, efficient and professional and explained how everything worked before they left. VERY IMPRESSED.
Soon after a team of three arrived from UT to fit Heat source pump, a new tank and a central heating system in a bungalow which had only ever know electric panel heaters. This required lifting carpets, cutting hatches in the floor, crawling through the loft etc. The whole job was done in about two and a half days. Again, from the technical/mechanical side of things, I was well impressed. Pipework, rads, tank etc were all well and neatly fitted. The lads were polite, efficient and just got on with job in hand.....they obviously knew their plumbing/electrical skills well. But for me, that is where it ended.
Their skills did not run to what I call the 'fine-tuning' bits and pieces which I think they should have when finishing off a job of this nature. So for example, where pipes from the rads ran through carpet under the floor, the carpet was just cut with a slit, leaving the carpet folding upwards each side of the pipe rather than having a hole cut for the pipe to pass through. When relaying the carpet, I later found in two places, where the under felt had moved and there was an annoying dip in the carpet. Having been a self employed joiner/bathroom and kitchen fitter for a great chunk of my working life, these things annoyed me intensely, and so I fixed them my self......but what about other people who could not easily do such things themselves? When the team left, I did 'sign' (on his iPhone), saying I was happy with the work done, but these things are things that showed up after they had left and became more evident as we were cleaning up in the next day or two.
I am not making a complaint out of this as my wife and I are delighted with the overall work done and are grateful to have the panels and c/h system installed in such a short time before the winter sets in. Just wanting to point out things as they are.
The girls at the office end of UT were amazing right through the whole time from the beginning.
To date, there is just one incomplete thread I am waiting to hear about. After all the work was done, a surveyor came from UT to check over all the work done and he was going to present a report to UT about a number of issues he felt needed to be addressed. Two points from this....1/. On the one hand, it is very satisfying to have someone come whose remit it is to 'tie up any lose ends' but 2/. slightly irritating that I've heard nothing back....yet.

From the girls who answered the call right through to the workmen coming in I got solar panels an air source pump radiators insulation and any insulation they put in was painted the workmen at every stage were polite and efficient in fact I don't think I could praise the whole set up highly enough from the first call to the last bit of decorating good job done well thank you very much Union Technical they even worked round my animals Thanks again. It is fantastic to have a new heating system and insulation, solar panels and a battery. The workmen were great, polite, respectful and helpful. Teething problems in operation have been sorted out with phone calls by and large. I can't give five stars because the initial survey wasn't accurate in terms of what was possible and plans had to be changed. The estimated timescale of two weeks turned into the best part of three months. The solar panel team had a drawing on their phone which showed the North facing roof aspect rather than the South facing one, luckily I caught the error before it had to be done again. When ringing for advice I had to ring three times before I got a promised ring back on three separate occasions. The disruption in our tiny cottage was overwhelming at times..The work started on the 23rd April this year and was completed in early June.

Whilst the actual installation was hood, the installers were excellent and helpful to me. My only complaint was the finishing as the remains of pipework from the old radiators were not removed sufficiently . Following my review Union Technical remedied these issues quickly and efficiently, thank you
