After, literally, many months of trying to communicate mandate changes to the incumbent provider of banking services to the Parish Council I conceded defeat and opened an account with UTB. What a bre... See more

When the online banking works and it's far from perfect when it doesn't often not sending login codes and 40 minutes plus waiting times to reset it becomes a dreadful experience
Telephone banking very helpful and patient when I had difficulty logging on to the web site.
good advice beautifuly delivered by Jayne at Unity
Spoke with Nikki L. on a KYC call.
She was friendly, professional and funny.
If only every bank had a Nikki.
Seriously she was great and explained things really well.
In fact most people i have dealt with at Unity have been very helpful
Awful and better stay away.
Customer paid me to wrong account and I asked them to reclaim the money.
Unity asked them for £25 and 6-8 weeks time to sort it out.
Normal bank dealt with same problem 7 days and no charge.

Overall, I had serious problems with the website and the forms in particular. However the 4 star rating derives principally from the time and quality of support received from Julie who answered my call and guided me patiently through the form-dependent process. She was exceptionally supportive and is a significant asset to the Bank already. I hope she remains with them and progresses career-wise, possibly into an HRD role or similar. If rating Julie herself, it would be 5 stars for sure!!!
i would like to thank Jayne for the courtesy and professionalism shown to me on my recent phone call to enquire procedure to change a signatory
Not only did Jayne explain the process clearly she directed me to the relevant page and walked me through requirements etc
One of the best examples of customer service i have experienced in years Thank you
Fantastic support and help from all at Unity trust throughout the application for our Charity Foundation. Particular thanks to Michael Wicks and Luke Lezniak-Beales. Cant recommend them highly enough!
I wanted to take a minute out of a busy day to leave a deserving positive review for the Customer Service staff at Unity Trust, who have helped us immensely in adding new Councillors as signatories, sending us copies of past cheques and generally assisting us patiently and professionally in the changeover from one administration to the next. Special thanks in particular to Muhammed, Jayne and Matt: we really appreciate the courtesy and niceness you have afforded us. Keep up the great work!
Worst bank I have ever had. It is like whenever you're stuck in a dangerous city with no cash on you your card will be turned off for no reason whatsoever. It will happen on a Friday night with no warning. This has happened at least two times. they don't prevent any actual suspicious activity just if you accidentally tried to withdraw too much or if you ordered anything ar all from overseas they will shut off your card and go home for the weekend. Don't use this bank it's defying the actual definition of security.

Worst bank I have encountered. Extremely poor customer service, excessive call waiting times and also long call times due to being left on hold for long periods during calls, conflicting information given from different advisors. Advised we needed to open a new account due to a change of entity within the business, and this has been dragging on for nearly 4 month now. Credit card facility has been closed without any notification despite the company not yet submitting the form to close this, and scheduled payments declined. If it was my decision, I would be opening an account elsewhere.
The only person who has been any help was Jayne.

I had a couple of problems today which meant calling Unity. My first call was answered and dealt with by Ellis. He was very patient and helpful. Next call I spoke with Helen -also very helpful.
My thanks to them both for taking away the stress!
Review would have been 5 stars if I hadn't had to wait so long for the call to be answered.
The member of staff I dealt with to get to get my authorisation approved was INCREDIBLY helpful. Her name is Jayne, she deserves thanks as well from her manager.
Use this once a month, the website has been "upgraded" and now unable to login or even get a password reminded , keeps saying try again later . Maybe it does not work before 9am? But no message to say so. Colleague also having problems. Note: It appears that this is related to the crowdstrike software failure , however whilst most banks were back and running by 1pm, Unity trust isnt.

Wish to compliment Muhammad Mirza on the help and patience shown to me when I was setting up on line banking. Thanks Keith Parkes
We (a Parish Council) had a problem (my fault!) when I tried to change people on the account. This left us unable to raise any payments. I phoned Unity, and between them, Mo and Lee solved the problem. Lee was particularly helpful, trying out several solutions before he found the right one. He was so good - I felt he made it his problem too and really cared about me and getting things right. 10/10 for customer service.
I've been using Unity Trust Bank for a number of years with various Parish Councils and they are in a much better place having moved away from the dreadful experience of Barclays Bank. The internet banking system works really well and I'm happy with the recent improvements to the look and functionality of the online banking. A very good and great customer service.
We've been trying to create a fixed deposit account with this bank for 2 months now. We've spent hours filling in forms, going through KYC etc. Every time we complete a step they take a few weeks to then come back to us and tell us there's another step. They also insist on opening multiple other accounts first (current account, instant access) before they will even look at the fixed deposit. But they don't make any of this clear at the start. They have our money but we still don't have the fixed deposit account opened. I've gotten to the point now where we're probably going to have to withdraw the funds and give up. Two months is ridiculous. What a colossal waste of our time..
Always great service from UTB. As the Treasurer for a local charity, I use a number of Banks. UTB's telephone response is light years better that Barclays, NatWest and CAF.
