service was great to order. BUT service is poor if u want to return them. to pay a $16 restock fee is nasty. I needed to return and order something else BUT I will not pay that fee. Its a rip off. what I ordered does not work for my house. I will shop someplace else from now on. TY Mary Maloy

Great selection and service
Ordering was easy, question answered satisfactorily and delivery was quick. One item was not as ordered (black finish instead of rust). I could still use it so it wasn't a big deal, but I subtracted one star because of this.

We rae a woodworking company and have ordered library stairs parts from you several times. The parts numbers are so confusing to both us and the sales person that we have not gotten the correct parts on any of our orders. This is not due to the person taking the order as much as it is the way the parts are numbered and displayed in your catalog.
I've seen many suppliers that we deal with improving their catalogs but through all the years we have ordered from you I have seen no improvement to make it simpler for the consumer.
The last time we needed stair parts we ordered from someone else.

Great variety of hardware at reasonable prices
VanDykes's carries the most unique items and a good cross-section of pricing, so you can always find what you want. I have ordered from them several times and have never had a problem with the quality of any of the items. They provide a good description so you know exactly what you will get. Their service staff are excellent to deal with and easy to reach - no long waits to speak to someone). This is my go to store for hardware and accessories for my colonial home. i particularly like their rustic iron hardware for trunks and the like.
