I rang my bank today apparently when you tax your car this company have hacked into the dvla website and pinched people's bank details. They have stopped anymore transactions from being made to them and I'm looking to get a full refund so please contact your banks immediately x

This site should be taken down, thieving B-------.

MAJOR SCAM!
My experience Is exactly the same as the other reviewers who have been scammed - first 50p taken out of my account, then £7.85 every month since March 2024.
Notice scam website is called vehicleinquiryuk (inquiry spelt wrong with letter i; no dot before uk); government website is called vehicleenquiry.uk (enquiry spelt with letter e; dot before uk)

I have had money taken out my bank. How do they get your bank details? I didn’t give anyone authorisation or bank details. So can someone please tell me how they know my bank details and can automatically take money out. Will go to my bank tomorrow first thing and cancel.

please do not use this website it is a massive scam I have contacted my credit card and they are going to sort it the worst thing is Is that this is on a government website really needs taking down. ASAP

My 92 year old mother has just seen that she’s being paying these criminals for over a year, it was not clear on her bank statements.

Because of the inability to contact banks from home, she had to take a trip to her local bank and queue to get resolution. Her local bank, shall we say, is NOT local.

All in all a harrowing experience.

I tried to tax my car and got sent to this site. They only took 50p but say they will take 7.95 a month. I have tried to cancel the account but to be on the safe side, I am getting a new debit card. I also gave my mobile number thinking I would get a helpful notification of payment of tax and the charlatans have tried to call me, doubtless to say that my second transaction is not going through- card now cancelled. So... I have had to block the call number. Beware of this company, search engines should have more ethics in not promoting such scams. In the meantime, we rely on websites such as Trust pilot to get the word out to thwart these scammers. PS. I am also going to report it to the News desk at Money Saving Expert - they may pick up the story. I am rather dismayed that the problem has not been picked up by DVLA itself. I tried to report the scammers to them this morning but got no response on their helpline.
For me, I have not lost a lot of money but reading past reviews has made me very angry. This is the first time I have been scammed, and I consider myself to be vigilant and suspicious. So, it really could happen to anyone!

Have only just noticed that 50p then 7.85qd each month!
No confirmation email, no communication at all!

Thought I was paying road tax even going as far as chosing amount to be paid. Looked at bank account to find only 50p taken. Next day another £7.85 taken without consent or permission. Total scam surely this act is illegal

Just noticed 2 payments per month taken from my account with out my authorisation.
Will be cancelling this ASAP

Like others made an enquiry and now being charged every month and baffled as to how to stop it!!

Asked my bank to cancel and replace my card its the only sure way both to cancel the initial charge while still in “authorisation” stage and to prevent any recurring debits. As with others here, I was misled, found same information on DVLA site free of charge. Avoid the banks “query a payment” option as it is designed to query after the fact payments such as a genuine dispute over a direct debit which involves communicating with the supplier of the service and takes time.

Absolultely agree with everybody that it's a fraud and the company should be locked up. Was stopped £7.85 and £0.50. Absolutely disgusting. Stay clear of this so called company.

All of these complaints are exactly what has happened to me! Thought I was buying car tax in march and checked was week later and was not taxed! I have been trying for months and to find this company but to no avail! finally today I have managed to get my Credit card company to look into it and get it cancelled! Fumming! hopefully I will get 6 months refund!!. I would not give this company any stars! They should be locked up.

I went online to check my mot service & niw find I am paying..£7.95 per month!!!! What got I would like to know ?? Seems illegal to me an explanation or refund asap

I wasn't aware I had subscribed to the £7.95. Ive been charged for months without knowing. I tried to cancel via the website but it says it doesn't have a record of my email! It must do if I subscribed?! Really shocking. I've spent ages getting my credit card company to add the merchant to stop list. I feel really cross about this.
