THEY DONT. After several efforts to get a free return label I sent the shoes back at my own expense . They have refused to refund my money

Not fit for purpose

The shoes are not orthopedic being very thin and the leather round the heel is so small it does not grasp the heel. Since so many people have difficulty sending them back and no returns, I won't bother. Should have read the reviews first!

More of the same but help from Paypal

0 stars from me if I could! I too wish I'd seen this page before ordering and, like everyone else, have a pair of shoes which I can't use because of my high instep and they arrived after my departure for holiday. But I've now done some checking out and thought it maybe helpful to share.
1. I thought Trading Standards would be a good place to start but to submit a report here you have to go through Citizens Advice (CAB) and report the situation on the phone which can take time, and it's unlikely that they are going to act on one complaint. 0808 223 1133. It mentions a website but I didn't see a link. So if everyone does report, then that would be great and help perhaps those who are unable to get a refund from elsewhere. It may also help to trigger the authorities to do something.
2. I then checked the company name Evotrom & VGNT LLP on Companies House, and it shows that the company was dissolved on 17 Oct 2023 (if I've read this correctly). Make sure if giving the company name you give the website address too so the veriva.co.uk information.
3. Their address in Covent Garden London seems to be that of a serviced office;
4. No obvious mention of deliveries being 2-3 weeks as sent individually from China; only that they are despatched in 2-3 days, which may be the case.
5. Like most of you my refund was refused on the grounds of hygiene, though no mention of this in their Ts and Cs.
6. Their FB page is full of gushing testimonials but not seeing how one can mention the return/refund situation. I tried to add a comment to someone's question on this but not sure it went through.
7. So then taking up a suggestion from CAB - I contacted Paypal through whom I had paid (usually use Paypal for all one-off transactions so my credit card details not in too many places). They have a dispute resolution section but initially, I couldn't find where to report as shoes had arrived, been late, but it didn't seem to fit with other standard questions. I wanted to report what I thought might be a fraudulent company so I think I ticked the speak to someone box and explained the issue. The person then did a report which she sent to me and the shoe company. There is then 7 days to see if I wanted to escalate the complaint which I did; on 31 May I had an email from PayPal to say 'case closed in my favour'.

I still have the shoes which I can return. So shoes ordered 26/4; arrived 9/5; reported to Paypal around 20 May on return from holls; escalated the case on 26 May and get the email in my favour 31 May and refund into my credit card on 02 June, so pretty impressive from Paypal.
8. Those who paid on a standard credit card won't be able to use the Section 75 unless your purchase was more than £100 per item. But I've just read there is something called 'Chargeback' or similar so you maybe able to try this. Not used this myself.
9.The other point that occurs is that all their shoes seem to be discounted. The Ortho Bounce for example is reduced from £79.99 to £39.99. Aren't there strict rules that if a retailer is offering something at a sale price it has to have been sold at full price for so many days in the last ??? months. Also, the quality of what I see is not worth £79.99, nor £39.99 in my opinion.
I hope some of this helps. It's taken quite a bit of time to get this info together but I've had the outcome I wanted so that's good. Learn from all of this for me: don't rush into buying a pair of shoes for a holiday without checking out the website fully and Trustpilot!! Good luck.

Agree with many reviewers here

Agree with many reviewers here, mine were also a bit small, a struggle to get into and my left big toe will go through any time now, but I'm wearing them and like them. My concern is that I bought a second pair in a different colour and this has been entered as an 'automatic payment' by EVOTROM & VGNT FZC LLC, which means I'll be charged every month! Obviously cancelled it. Obviously a SCAM!

Complete scam

Complete scam - do not buy these shoes.
They are not orthopaedic, having a very thin sole and no arch support. I have emailed them, cancelled the order and had same experiences as others. Only email from seller says they cannot refund because of'hygiene issues' and when I returned them (Royal Mail Tracked 48) the parcel came back 'addressee gone away' and 'refused'. So I have raised a claim with PayPal.

One star is one too many

One star is one too many, me too with this scam company. Shoes arrived and were undersized, emailed them and as others have said, they don’t exchange due to hygiene reasons…found their alleged address for returns on their website, in London, posted them back and they were signed for by someone called Ollie Ross, but four days later they were taken back to the post office and are being returned to me as they are apparently no longer at that address….SCAM SCAM SCAM so will have to pursue this through barclaycard fraud people…..

Disgusting if they keep getting away with this!

I bought a pair of shoes after seeing an ad on Facebook. They were a little late arriving but no big deal. Unfortunately they were too small so I looked for a returns label to send them back and request a larger size. However there was no paperwork whatsoever included in the packaging. I checked the website which states easy returns and eventually found an email address. However this was the reply I received the next day: “ Hello, For reasons of hygiene, we cannot accept returns.Thank you for your understanding.” NOT so easy returns then! What a scam! I am pursuing a refund through PayPal and will be more careful when ordering goods online in the future.

Do not order!

As other reviews on this site: stay well clear. Absolute scam. I hope my bank can still stop the credit card payment. Shoes aren’t too bad, but sizing is totally wrong and certainly not orthopaedic. I contacted them immediately after ordering when I realised their size guide was different to usual UK sizes. Got a message back to say they can’t help as my order was being processed already (which it definitely wasn’t 5 min after ordering and given it took over 2 weeks for them to arrive). I then contacted them again once the shoes had arrived asking how to send them back and get a refund. Apparently for hygiene reasons they don’t offer refunds. Total con and I’m sure statutory rights say you’ve always got 30 days to send items back. I’ve now reported it to my bank. Not sure if I’ll see the money back or not. Do not order from them! Or any company trading under Nexado (which is the merchandise name that appreared on the credit card statement).

No returns allowed

As others have said, wish I'd checked trustpilot first. Surely it's illegal to not a very returns?

They finally emailed me back, "For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Thank you for your understanding."

What can be done?

SCAM Don't use

As others have said this appears to be a scam, received the shoes, but very poor quality and certainly not orthopaedic. Returned to address in London, but they refused to accept the parcel without explanation, just got it back from Royal Mail. Awaiting an answer to e-mail but not holding my breath. I have just reported the SCAM to my Bank on the same day, they are going to investigate and hopefully refund.

Scam company do not use. Like all the others on these reviews

Like all the others on these reviews, my shoes arrive too small. I wish I had checked the reviews before I ordered.

I too am having difficulty getting my money back under the 30 day so-called guarantee. I have received the same emails and I too am having problems getting them to return emails.

This is definitely a scam company. Such a shame because the shoes look quite nice. If they were an honest and ethical company, they would be happy to take and exchange the shoes but they obviously are preventing that they are not. I bought via PayPal so I am hoping that my claim through PayPal will be met. Once I lodged my claim I received a paltry offer from the company of £10 off my next order. They are having a laugh. As if I would ever order from this company again. I would give this company minus stars if I could.

Scam do not buy, wish i had looked at Trustpilot first!
Orthopaedic shoes they are not. Tried to return at my own expense, got refused and sent back to me. "For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges." There is a long list of items they do not refund on their website but shoes are not mentioned. Complete scam!

Update: as i paid through Paypal, I raised a complaint with PayPal and just received a refund for the shoes. Thank you PayPal!
