The second new Hyundai I have had from Sighthill West , this time I dealt with Kelson, absolutely fantastic, talked me through my trade in car , advised on my new car , kept me up to date on the whole process from start to finish a enjoyable experience, thanks also to Darren for his assistance on what is my fifth new Hyundai,, guys a big thanks from Paul and Sheena the new car is lovely.

I just left their Calders office teary with a heavy heart. The two Managers who sealed my car deal were available today and did not show any interest to handle my car plan issue. They act like bullies and dont speak with sympathy. How the customer feels leaving the premises matters more than the discounts over the phone. I cant be stuck for another three years.

Fantastic experience dealing with the guys at Vertu Edinburgh West. Made the process very easy and streamlined, and managed to get all paperwork sorted promptly and a great car to drive so far. Fantastic deal with a 3 year warranty too.

Really poor warranty experience with Hyundai in Edinburgh. Engine warning mgt light had been on about 4 times since I got the car. All were fixed under warranty - possibly a fuel cap issue. Happened again but as my car had some rear damage about 8 months before they concluded that was the reason and charged me over £100. Challenged a few times and they stubbornly refused to answer questions around timing and whether a light can just appear 8 months later. A Simple yes it could or no it couldn’t was beyond them. Service has always been below par with car going in for a recall , me taking it home and then a call next day saying we missed something and have ordered a new part !!! Stubbornness to listen to a customer has really put me off using them again.

My experience with Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh West has been one long, stressful disappointment. I bought a car from them that turned out to have a blown head gasket — a major fault they completely brushed off for over eight months. Despite repeatedly telling them about severe overheating and water loss from every point, they kept fobbing me off with excuses: the water pump, the air filter, and things I'd never heard of — anything but the real issue. It took eight full months before they finally admitted it was a blown head gasket.

Then began another four-month wait, where they claimed they couldn’t source a replacement engine — saying there were backlogs, delays, and no manufacturer availability. Then out of nowhere, I got a random call telling me the car was “fixed” and ready to go. It absolutely wasn’t. The car came back clunky, heavy, and clearly not fitted with a new engine. Eventually, they agreed to swap the car and cover the negative equity — but even the replacement has been problem after problem.

The new car has already been in twice for coil pack faults (covered under warranty). Most recently, I had to wait three and a half weeks for an appointment. Dropped it off on a early Thursday, and heard nothing until late Friday. I was told the battery needed replacing (not covered after two years) and was quoted £219, and that this would be the only charge.

Heard nothing on the Monday then on Tuesday got a call to pick up. But when I went to collect the car, I was handed a bill for £344. I was told I’d been charged half the diagnostics fee because the battery wasn’t under warranty — but that makes no sense, since the actual faults that triggered the diagnostics were covered. Even worse, I was told that a full diagnostics is £150 — meaning if I was only charged half (£75), that leaves £269, not the £219 they originally quoted me. So not only did they shift the goalposts about why I was being charged — they lied about the battery price as well.

Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh West lie, deflect, and twist the truth constantly. They wear customers down with delays, vague answers, sudden charges, and false reassurances. Once they’ve got your money, they couldn’t care less. You’re left with unreliable vehicles and no transparency.

Do yourself a favour: avoid this place at all costs.I would give -* if I could!!

Got great service when I was looking for a new IONIQ 5. Dale and the team really made an effort, so thank you. Amazing experience. And the new car is great as well. Thank you Hyundai Edinburgh West.

Was asked to bring car in to carry our a recall. I was going to book a courtesy car but was informed the modifications would not take long so could just wait in their dealership.

Brought car into dealership at 0845. It's now 1000 and they've just now entered the vehicle.

This is not the first time I've had poor service from this dealership. I'm sure it won't be the last

I took my car to Macklin Motors at Calder Road for an MOT this week, I was pleased with the friendly professional staff at the service desk.
Special mention to Alan who works at the Service dept, when I told him I'd lost my car Service book. He was a great help to me and helped me enormousIy, I can't thank him enough 10 /10 from me

Just as a warning to others. I booked my car in t be bought with Vertu motors. They offered me £9440 online for my 5 year old car. The car was in fantastic condition for 5 years old and on there online tool i described it as above average which allowed for a few scratches. There was 5 levels of rating from poor to excellent and above average was the 4th level. I arrived and the car was looked at and they downgraded it to average for a few tiny scratches that would buff out easily and some tiny bubbles in the paint on the wheels. They then offered me £8550! total profiteering and a waste of everybody's time. just be warned.

Kelson and his colleagues were just too helpful, patiently assisted me with the choice of the car Because I traded in my old car.

I just bought a second hand Kia from Vertu West. It was very straight forward, good service and good selection.

I'm really pleased Dale came out to me when I first arrived on the forecourt. His professionalism and customer focus shines through within minutes. He was immensely patient with my unsure requirements and demands. I was given the opportunity to test drive a car that I thought I really wanted very quickly, but then decided that's not the car for me. Dale then went through my demands again and searched to find me the ideal car.
After agreeing to the purchase of the car, there were some points where I think customer contact could have been better, but in all honesty customer service seems to be becoming a very rapidly dying commodity everywhere these days.
During my search I went to quite a lot of different places and still think Dale's attitude was the best of them all, and I hope to be able to use his services when I'm next searching for a vehicle.

I should also give a wee mention to Dale's manager, Darren who gave me some very welcome assurances again with a highly professional attitude when I had a small issue.

Second time visiting Junior at Hyundai and he has helped us out both times greatly. Super service by Junior and the team, we will certainly be back when we need another car. We also don’t hesitate to recommend Junior and the team to anyone looking for a new car.
