I recently purchased a vehicle from Peugeot through salesperson. During the viewing, I was informed that I would receive 5 days of insurance. This was also stated on the paperwork/invoice I was provided. Unfortunately, within that period I had an accident. When I contacted the salesman to request the insurance details, I was told that I would have had to set this up myself. This was confusing, as I had been led to believe both verbally and in writing that the insurance was included.
When I raised my concerns, I found the response unhelpful and the tone of communication from salesman unprofessional. I also escalated the matter to the manager, but did not feel I received any support or resolution.
This situation has left me exposed to significant financial and legal risk. Furthermore, when I asked about the dealership’s policy around insurance, it was clear that they do not properly clarify this verbally with buyers, which I believe is misleading and unacceptable.
While I understand that as the driver I am ultimately responsible on the road, I feel I was misrepresented regarding the insurance and badly let down by the service provided. This has unfortunately forced me to take the matter further.
UPDATE-
Absolutely no effort to solve this issue, they do not care about their customers, they just care about money. ‘STEER’ CLEAR !!

Purchased a 'new for me' car here last week and can honestly say that it was such a seamless process. From my first interaction with them to the day my car was delivered they were clear and transparent, communication was excellent. I would like to say thank you to Stephen Lee, who I dealt with throughout, who was brilliant, this is the first car I've bought in 10+ years and I'm so pleased with it. See you in another 10 years 😁

Misled about repairs, car still had fault, and they tried to hide the number plate to resale as I wanted it fixed
I was dealing with Stephan Lee and Kurtis Lee at Peugeot Northampton on a 2020 Nissan Qashqai. After being told a 2nd gear fault was fixed, I was ready to buy — but returned from holiday to find the same fault still there.
During the second test drive, Stephan said:
“Don’t tell me they didn’t fix it,”
which made it clear to me he likely knew the car hadn’t been repaired properly.
I was promised a call the next morning — nothing. I followed up by email and was ignored for 4 days, until I was told the car had gone to Nissan Northampton and needed a gearbox replacement. When I called Nissan, they confirmed the car had never been there.
They then listed the car as SOLD on their website and blurred the number plate, trying to hide it — but didn’t even do it properly. You can still clearly see VK20 FYO in the images.
Also, Stephan told me the cheaper car I was considering had been in a crash and repaired — clearly to steer me toward this more expensive car, which turned out to be the one with a serious issue.
This was a completely dishonest experience from start to finish. I’ve reported it to Trading Standards and I strongly urge others to stay away from Peugeot Northampton.

2nd time ive purchased a vehichle from this branch.
I brouhht a new combo van back in 2016, which i still use in perfect order. Andrew was the van salesman back then and i found him really easy to deal with. And certainley got a very good deal at the time from him.
Ive recentley placed an order for a new Citreon C3 car for my wife for September delivery. Andrew is now the sales manager and to my surprice remembered me from 9 yesrs ago, he even remembered i was a Decorator at the time.
Prity impressive and the way i like to run my business , Honest and up front.
I would have no hesitation in recommemding this branch for all your vehicle requiments.

Romeo cheerfully told me that fixing the suspension wishbone bush, front shock absorber, and a suspension arm would come to £480. Pricey, sure—but hey, it’s the main dealer, so what do you expect? Gold-plated bolts, maybe?
Fast forward to collection time, and surprise! The bill has magically inflated to £740.18. Romeo, naturally, is nowhere to be seen—clearly off rehearsing his next vanishing act—and isn’t picking up his phone.
The two staff members left behind look as baffled as I felt. Neither could explain the extra cost, though they gave a valiant performance of confusion.
So yes, in the space of one afternoon, I got mugged and shafted, all under the warm fluorescent lights of the service desk. Beware of Romeos bearing quotes—and disappearing faster than your savings.
