It was a great experience
It was a great experience. The staff members all seem very friendly and welcoming. Whilst I first came over to have a look at the car and hear the options the staff member selling me the car, Chloe, had the answers to all my questions. I must've been there for about 2 hours with the amount of questions I wanted to ask about the finance options and the car itself. The options provided were all tempting and very well explained and I ended up leaving with a deposit down and a few days later, the car itself. 10/10 would buy another car there.

Dreadful experience - we felt like an inconvenience
I recently accompanied my eldest in his search for a car and having looked on Autotrader we decided to visit Vertu at Skipton / Keighley as they had 6 suitable cars available. Unfortunately first impressions did not bode well….like another reviewer the disabled parking was taken up with staff cars and cars they were selling. Not to be deterred we went inside to be asked if we’d made an appointment! We replied no (didn’t think we had to) and with a bit of huffing and puffing, Deano was assigned to help us. During the initial ten minutes of his taking my son’s details he took a phone call from his wife to cancel her dentist appointment as she was stuck in traffic and another call from his daughter! He then told us that his priority was customers who had actually purchased cars and who were coming to collect; he could show us the two available (Autotrader had indicated six suitable vehicles!) but he could not take us on a test drive as he was too busy! We were not impressed with either of the cars nor the customer service. So we left and visited Vertu Motors in Leeds where the experience could not have been more different. They could not do enough for us; it was a textbook lesson in how to look after customers and we bought a car from them instead. Deano (Skipton / Keighley)…you work on commission right? Big mistake….huge!!! Danny (Leeds) we could not recommend you highly enough!
Incidentally Deano rang my son a few days later and was disappointed to learn we’d bought a car from Vertu in Leeds – Well Deano you should have paid us more attention

Great buying experience

Pete really looked after me when I was…
Pete really looked after me when I was looking for a new car, he even checked the website on his day off, sending me options of cars I might like. I told him exactly what I was looking for and the extras I wanted it to have and he found me the closest there was to what I wanted. He kept in touch with me throughout the purchase and answered all the questions that I had.

Forgot my crystal ball !!
Called in at Virtu VW dealership Skipton.
Blue badge parking taken up by one of the garages own cars (logos on it and no registration plate) - not a good first impression, shows laziness and lack of respect for people who have genuine mobility problems.
Walked round every car which was parked on the forecourt. Not one car for sale had a price on it, or any info like mileage, year, or model!
Very bizarre way to sell cars? If you want to attract customers at least put a price on the windscreen otherwise what’s the point ?!
Maybe I should have taken my crystal ball with me 🤭

Really helpful service and actions…
Really helpful service and actions which gave us great faith/trust in Vertue Crosshills. We had seen an ID3 for sale in Vertu Mansfield, we paid for it and they had it delivered to the Crosshills branch who we had been dealing with and wanted to stay with. Crosshills Vertu, complete thorough checks before they release a vehicle, there was an electrical fault that they were not happy with and they subsequently rejected the car and refunded us our payment. We were obviously dissapointed, but relieved at the same time; that they refused to sell us a faulty car. I am sure many garages would have just let it go. The service they gave us and trust, secured a customer with them and we have gone onto buy a car which we are delighted with.
