Viaggiare Rent in Olbia ... never again
We had booked in Olbia with Viaggiare Rent and had to wait in a queue for 5 hours after landing until we received the rental car. The agents on site were unsurpassed in arrogance and borderline disrespectful. The dispatch to get the key for the car took up to 48 minutes per customer. All customers were extremely upset and the comment from the service agent was “The benefit to wait for 5 hours is the best rental price on the Island, so stop complaining. Next time book at another rental service”. This is the worst service we ever experienced for the past 30 years. All customers were equipped with Insurances most from Check24 or billiger mietwagen, but the agents tried very hard to sell their own insurances, even if once stated no interest “ This was business by fear” there was an old couple who did not speak English nor Italian and they were so irritated by this rough behaviour that we other customers needed to assist. One customer did not reach her plane as she needed to wait for hours to simple hand back the car key. The service agents simply stated that this in not their business and that she needed to wait in the queue.

Unreliable
They charged me for damage that I doubt was caused by me, as there was no staff available to check the car at the moment of the return of the keys. Moreover, for THEIR mistake, they did not send me any communication and charged my credit card without any notice. Avoid this company, they are unprofessional and not reliable

following our terms and conditions at the art.8.B "During peak periods, the Lessor's staff will need 15 to 30 minutes to carry out the check-in check and agree with the Customer on any damage and discrepancies found. If the Customer is in a hurry and cannot be present to check the condition of the car, the check and detection of any discrepancies will still be carried out in his absence and the damages will be charged."
Following art. 8.E Simple damage, not agreed because the Customer was not present. If during the check-in phase the Customer is unable to attend the checks (due to rush or late return) and the damage detected is simple, the Lessor will charge the relevant amount using the Damage Table attached to the contract. "

Everything went well
Everything went well. Smooth and quick processing on site. Very friendly staff. The car was in good condition. We were correctly informed of all existing damages and this was also documented in the contract. We were very satisfied.

The booking and payment was very smooth. The car was also excellent and we had no issues regarding the Pick up and delivery process of the car. When you arrive at the airport for car delivery before the opening time you can simply use the key dropbox, which is nice. Some thinks that could be a little bit better are: 1. Better description of the pick up spot at the airport. 2. Providing the reciep for the payment and the charge back of the deposit in english. Overall we were very happy with Viaggiare and would recommend booking a car there.

I hired a car through StressFreeCarRental (comparison website) After reading some bad reviews here, honestly, I don’t recognize the comments about such bad behavior by this rental company. I’m not sure if it depends on the staff you are dealing with, but in my case, it was a good experience, and I think it’s important to share that! Pros: • Car pick-up was set at 23:00 (as my flight was planned to land at 21:35). I found that this company was open until 23:00, while some others close at 22:00. • We got a Toyota Yaris Cross (automatic) with only 5000km on it—very clean and nice. We had no problems with the car during the entire rental period, and we drove quite a few kilometers. It was a perfect, well-maintained car! • Car drop-off was super easy and quick. The car was checked, fuel was confirmed, and all was good. It took at most 5 minutes. Well done! Tip for customers: It’s better to set your drop-off time about an hour later than you actually need it. If you set it for 20:00, you only have a 30-minute window to return the car (until 20:30); after that, extra charges may apply. If it doesn’t affect the price, it’s wiser to set your drop-off time as 21:00 or even 22:00 in this example. Tip/suggestion for Viaggiare: While it was dark, it was difficult to thoroughly inspect the car, especially the black parts. Inspecting the rest of the car (white bodywork and glass) was doable. The car had some scratches on the black bumper boards that weren’t visible until the next morning. After sending an email to the Olbia pick-up location, I received a reply saying it didn’t count since the car had already left the parking lot. However, they confirmed that these scratches were fine and would not be considered damage upon return. Suggestion: Consider arranging some good lighting (spotlights) so both customers and Viaggiare staff can better inspect the car during pick-up and drop-off. Overall, I had a really good experience with this car rental company and would definitely hire a car from Viaggiare again. Keep up the good work!

Process after returning the car is not clear. I got a mail with copy of receipt and did not know wheather I had to sign it. I responded the mail but didnt got a answer. It seemed that everything is ok though.
