Mateo was super helpful. Upgraded car. It had a few dings here and there but Mateo asked if we were OK with that and recommended we took a before, and after video,,,, just in case. As our happens, there wasn't any issue with the return or the release of the deposit.

Amazing service! Had a great experience

Company did not accept full car insurance from external company. I had to pay their own insurance 150 euro. They charged me for full tank because I returned the car with only half tank.

I'd like to start by saying, they're not bad, and they're prob one of the better Italian rental companies. At least in my experience.
But there's a few random things that let them down, so a 3 is fair.
- snow chains. Every other company I've used includes these at booking. Not here. An extra 2/3 euros a day for them when you arrive. Ridiculous.
- return at Bergamo. 4pm....they all disappear. Noone at the rental desk in the car park. No instructions either, I had to go out on a limb while heading for a flight and guess that I should take the key back to the desk in the terminal as no drop box.
- different amounts charged as to what was booked through discover cars app. 20euro difference. Most likely just those stupid chains.
- car, dented and heavily scratched all over on every panel.

As I said, small things, but they detract from the enjoyment of the overall experience.

The people were really nice, exceptionally helpful. No issues with condition or cleanliness of the car upon return (although I did get warned to make sure it was clean when returned). Despite extra charges, still cheap enough.

Would I use them again, quite probably as some of the other companies are way way worse.

Handy location, great prices, nice cars, low deposit and highly efficient staff like Matteo make rental a breeze!

Multiple hidden charges which doubled rental cost. Hire car much smaller than advertised. Pick up not in terminal as advertised.

Rented a car for 5 days in Antalya. No problem until leaving. They check the car, everything is fine. They video it. I video it. All smiles. Then when the guy drives us to the airport in the car we rented, there's a small collision in traffic. Some shouting happens, but no problem, UNTIL I'm billed for it!! It's O.K. I think, I'll send the video.

After 3 weeks I get a one line dismissive email saying I'm responsible, case closed. FUMING!!!!

I've also been charged a cleaning fee. Your showroom in Antalya is located in a literal mud filled SWAMP. How dare you charge to clean a car in that situation.

Scam company. Charge low prices with the intention of hitting you with fines at the end. There's no fighting it, even with proof. Your driver caused the damage, on what was already a massively scuffed and marked car.

I notice how I can't select the Antalya Branch in the location review, probably because they know it might put people off reviewing them.

My advice. Avoid.

Very disappointed with Viaggiare Rent at Kraków Airport. We rented a car in February and were given a vehicle without winter tyres, despite temperatures being around –10°C and heavy snow in the mountain areas where we were travelling with our family.

This is basic safety, especially when travelling with children in snowy mountain roads.

No warning was given, and no alternative was offered. I would strongly advise anyone renting in winter to double-check the tyres before leaving the airport.

The staff! Amazing. Erika, Chiara are so kind. The car is Mahindra which is not the best but for the price, who is complaining:-)

DO NOT USE VIAGGIARE. I returned my rental car in the same condition I received it yesterday. The man who handled the rental took the keys from me and did not carry out an inspection on the car as he said everything was fine. This morning I have woke up to a charge on my account for £626.06 and wrongly accused of causing two scratches on the car despite Viaggiare leaving the car in a compound overnight! Viaggiare cannot provide any evidence that this damage wasn’t already there as they are fully aware I did not cause this! Disgusting customer service - completely ruined my trip. After looking at reviews it appears this happens frequently. AVOID!!

Steer clear of Viaggiare Rent a Car.

No inspection at pickup, no paperwork given, and we were asked to sign electronic forms without being shown what they were. After returning the car, they suddenly claimed “new damage,” but the story kept changing — first hubcaps, then unrelated scratches. The reports they later emailed didn’t match what they told us and even showed pre‑existing damage. One report even listed a damage charge on the pickup document, which is impossible unless it was altered afterward.

Their WhatsApp messages contradicted their own paperwork, and they couldn’t provide time‑stamped photos or a repair invoice. Thankfully Discover Cars is handling the claim, but this company’s practices are misleading and stressful. Blatant scam! Avoid and rent elsewhere.

I was fined for scratches that were already present on the car as shown in the document that they send me by email when I collect the car.

Noleggio auto in Italia molto spesso, anche 1–2 volte al mese, e posso dire con assoluta certezza che Viaggiare Rent – Roma si distingue nettamente dalla maggior parte delle compagnie.

Servizio impeccabile, personale professionale, rapido e sempre disponibile. Ma ciò che mi ha colpito di più è stato un episodio che dice tutto sull’integrità di questa azienda: ho dimenticato il portafoglio vuoto nell’auto e sono stati loro a contattarmi immediatamente per restituirmelo. Un gesto di onestà e correttezza che, sinceramente, non avevo mai riscontrato nei miei oltre 35 anni di noleggi auto.

Persone serie, affidabili e profondamente oneste.

Exceptional car rental – a rare level of honesty and service.

I rent cars in Italy very frequently, often 1–2 times per month, and I can say with complete confidence that Viaggiare Rent – Rome stands out clearly from most rental companies.

Excellent service, professional and efficient staff, and very good communication throughout. What impressed me the most, however, was an incident that truly reflects the company’s integrity: I accidentally left my empty wallet in the car, and they called me immediately to make sure it was returned. This level of honesty is something I honestly have not experienced in over 35 years of renting cars.

Trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely honest people.

Last week rented a car at Catania airport. Good service, rather punctual with checkout timing. Gived different car. If the Indian brand "Mehindra" could be called a car nowadays. Told to make videoclip and then send it to the office. No one comes with us to check the car. But on check-in... wow, the car was checked from every possible angle, up and down, left to right. Just missed a microscope! Looked like determined to find something. However, everything went ok. But the customer felt like a criminal. Viaggiare is now going to the bottom of my list for the next time in Italy.
