I had a very disappointing experience with bus VY190. Even though the previous bus had plenty of empty seats, the driver refused to let us board, despite our ticket clearly stating it was flexible. Ou... See more

Horrible train ride
Hello,
I would like to make a complain on the conductor who worked on the train. I woke up around 2 am shaking from the cold. It was so cold on the train , I could not bare. Luckily the conductor walked by , so I asked him if he can switch on the heater. He replyed :" I will do in a sec". However, after 30 minutes the tempeture havent changed. So I asked him again. And he replyed: " I will not put the heater on, just find another seats in the different vagon". It was already close to 3 am and my friend was sleeping. Suddently, he tried to wake up a woman sleeping behind me. But it was not my friend. I was so so upset at that point. I was freezing , my face was so cold. My friend woke up with a sore throat. Like we did not pay enough to cover the heating ? Soo disappointed by the service and conductor behaviour. The train is very expensive and the company is saving money so dang hard?? @vy.no
DISGUSTING OLD TRAINS
This is the filthiest, disgusting, old and ragged train I have ever traveled! Incredibly expensive, dirty. The only plus point is the friendly crew. The toilets, even at the beginning of the trip (not many passengers using them yet), were DISGUSTING, UNWASHED- with visible mold! After unfolding the table, there were leftovers of food, stains and crumbs left by previous passengers! NO COVID safety AT ALL! Crowd and man on man! But it's not even covid. It's just so dirty that you can grab anything you can catch.
unprofessional and incompetent…
unprofessional and incompetent workers. On December 21, I took a train to Oslo, and this person spoke only to me, ignoring the rest of the passengers in the car. He came from the beginning with the intention of giving me the fine instead of inspecting my ticket, since he first asked me for the documentation almost at the same time as the ticket. When I showed it to him, he seemed surprised, but instead of admitting his mistake, he insisted that it was invalid and that he should pay the fine. I didn't even try to pass the QR code on the machine to verify it, he directly took advantage of my situation of not knowing the language and the situation to fine me. I had no choice but to pay it there for being the "cheap option", not to mention that he overstepped his duties by asking me indiscreet questions about my legal situation in Oslo or what I am doing in the country.
The fact of asking questions that did not correspond to him, added to the fact that he addressed me exclusively throughout the car, made me think that he only wanted to fine me because of my appearance or xenophobia. It seems incredible to me that someone like that works with the public, it is not the first time that they inspect my ticket on board and they have never spoken to me in that way. Now I am afraid to travel in case I meet someone who can fine me for my appearance regardless of whether I have a valid ticket or not.
He is not a police officer to ask me those kinds of questions. I am legally in Norway and I work here even if I don't speak the language. I have carefully read your terms and conditions and I am under no obligation to identify myself or provide information about myself if I have a valid ticket with me, especially to someone who is not even able to verify it with the QR code.
Greedy
I booked a chain trip by bus and train up to the north of Norway. My first bus into Oslo was late, causing me to miss my train and I could not get my money back, because the ticket had expired and there was no clear way for me to get in contact with them other than email.
Another time I was gonna travel by bus, I had not checked that I wanted to pay more, to get a refund.
So when I found out that I didn't need to do the trip and wanted to cancel, I did not get a refund because I had not paid them 99.- more.
Constantly bad experiences
Constantly bad experiences, delays, cheeky ways to get more money out of you. it'll take forever to contact support. That's what happens when you got a monopoly goin
Waiting for help
Booked a trip worth a lot of money on their trains in July, somehow one of my tickets ended up in June instead of July like my other ones. Talked in the chat area and was told nothing can be done... Now I get to spend my whole vaction worrying about the huge amount of money I spent on a ticket that was never used (2700kr). It is also a bit suspicious that I ordered the tickets in the afternoon of June 21st but the ticket was for the morning of June 21st (time travel?) Waiting on a reply from helpdesk, will update my review accordingly.
Government owned company with monopoly
Government owned company with monopoly, suffering from cancelations, late arrivals, expencive tickets (plane is usually cheaper) bad seats, no restrictions under the pandemic. Over all a very bad experience...
Worst support ever
Worst support ever. I was in que for 38 minutes. During these 30 minutes i was the second in line. When i arrived they charged me 52% of the total ticket cost for a simple change.
I seriously dont recommend this company
Consistently late
Consistently late, usually overcrowded and repeatedly suffering from cancellations due to 'technical issues'. Vy are an embarrassment to rail travel and despite years of 'upgrades' is on the death spiral into uselessness.
Do not assume your train will be on time!
