Excellent friendly service - from phone to engineer solving quickly and professionally. Highly recommend

The heating element on my washing machine had corroded and was causing the electricity supply to trip. A new element was soon fitted and I'm back washing again! The repairer answered all my questions about detergents, temperatures and washing machine care tips, he was really helpful.

Great service from start to finish. Call-out was quick and efficient and Ollie was excellent. Quickly diagnosed the fault and whilst some parts had to be ordered this was turned around in a couple of days.

Really professional and friendly staff and would use again without hesitation.

Contacted Washtech to repair a Commercial dishwasher on a Saturday. Despite saying 24/7 engineers on there Website they couldn't send someone out until Monday.

The lady said they will arrive and payment will be required on the day, which is fine.

Tuesday the engineer came out as requested, nice enough, bit slow but i assume he was being thorough which is good. Found the problem eventually. Said they need to order the part and will come back to fit it, which will take a few mins only as its only a case of popping the hood off and fitting the part, so literally a few mins. He also removed the front panel from the dishwasher but as the screw was threaded, he couldn't put it back on without a different drill. Ok that's fine i guess hell do it when he returns?

Paid him over £140 to locate the fault and leave the dishwasher panel hanging off the dishwasher and was told that when they come to fit the part they will charge at £1 per minute to do so. Which is fine as he said again it'll only take a few mins. And the £140 i've paid today covers any call out for the fitting anyway.

Thursday arrives and despite chasing everyday they haven't managed to find the part required from there "suppliers" so i asked them which part is it exactly and ill see if i can find it.

No response.

I chased again on Friday and got a reply to say the part name, a wash timer.

BUT if find the part they wont fit it in, only if they find it themselves will they fit it.. I asked why? no response to that question.

(I find out by making one phone call that the company that actually sells the dishwashers has exclusive rights to the brand everywhere. Probably the ONLY place you can get a legitimate part anyway)

So i contacted the company that sold me the dishwasher to be told that the part needed is in stock. So i thought great, i'll contact wash tech again to advise where they can get the part since they don't seem to be bothered anymore trying to locate it themselves.

The response was:
The Wash Timer will cost £276.95 EX VAT and there is no leadtime on it. (which confuses me as i know its in stock)
The Additional labour would be £90ex VAT which confuses me even more as i was told not once but twice that its a £1 a minute, both by the engineer and the lady i spoke to on the Saturday.

Oh and all this needs paying before they even order the part, so basically i pay them for the part and the labour but they have no idea when the part will arrive so in a sense no idea when the labour will take place.

At this point i call back the company that sold me the dishwasher and who have already confirmed to me that the part is in stock, To ask if the price i have been quoted for the part is the correct price and has Washtech called them, only to be told they haven't had a call from anyone. And the part will actually be sent out for FREE as i'm just out of warranty...

I contact Washtech again to ask where they got that price from and also why has the £1 a minute suddenly changed to £90+vat in advance?...

To be told the £90+VAT is to cover the cost of the fitting as that's how long it will take him to fit it and the price is from the manufacturer.
(The ones they haven't been able to get hold of all week)

Needless to say i am not going to be using Washtech to finish this job, i urge anyone thinking of using them to probably get everything in writing from them first as they seem to change prices and make things up as they go along.

I am left feeling that i have basically caught them trying to pull a fast one on me, i cannot see it any other way then that. Why would they not get a free part which i have sourced from the only company that sells the dishwashers? instead i must pay nearly £500 UPFRONT for a part they don't know when or if will ever arrive and labour that hasn't even happened.

Avoid at all costs, and if you have to use them get everything in writing.

I've ordered the free part now and will get someone else to fit it and fix the door panel they left hanging off as i doubt they will come back to fix that even.

Extremely helpful and professional service from both the office and the engineer. Following an online booking they quickly contacted me to confirm what needed doing and to order any replacement parts needed and were in touch as soon as it arrived to arrange the repair. Engineer was friendly and efficient and able to work around me to find a suitable time.

My washing machine broke unexpectedly yesterday. I tried to fix it myself - but, after a long day at work, I didn't have the time, focus or skill required to address the fault. I tried to book a call out. I tried several other companies before contacting Wash Tech... all with higher costs; all treated me with utter contempt. Wash Tech accepted my request for service; agreed a call out next-day (when other supposed experts wanted more than a week - despite advertising 24-hour call-out.) I wasn't present when my washing machine was fixed - requiring no parts. My Mum was... and had only praise for the repair man. I'm very impressed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this courteous capable company who have provided me with exceptional value for money.
