Superb service and company!
Emma's service is beyond, she is outstanding!
Her dedication for providing a service from initial booking to the end was nothing short of total professionalism. If I needed any help during the trip the response was immediate. The trip to Faroe Islands was magical and her itinerary was well organised and exemplary. The use of her app provided guidance for every day activities and gave confidence as a single traveller. It goes without saying I would use Emma and her fantastic company, Where The Wild Is, every time!
An amazing holiday with a wonderful company.
We wanted to go to the Faroe Islands for a long time and they did not disappoint.
Emma compiled a perfectly balanced holiday for us. The itinerary allowed us flexibility to explore the islands at a comfortable pace and the accommodation was ideal.
The tours that Emma arranged for us were enjoyable and informative. She is so enthusiastic about the Faroes and she did everything that she could to make our holiday special and was there for us if we needed her.
We are already thinking about our next holiday with "Where the Wild Is".

Suzel planned a beautiful Norwegian holiday for my family. She took dietary restrictions and mobility challenges into account, which was helpful. Every step of the planning process was carefully thought out and made our trip very memorable. I would highly recommend Where the Wild Is for your next vacation.

We'd like to say a big thank you for the outstanding guidance through the wilderness that is the Faroe Islands.
Emma's enthusiasm rubbed off immediately and remained with us throughout our entire busy week exploring every nook and cranny we could reach.
We've seen the most awe-inspiring scenery, soaked in the friendly and charming vibe of beautiful Torshavn, eaten plenty of fish and met lots and lots of lawless sheep and their little lambs! We arrived home with a quirky piece of art (and memory) with a zombie looking sheep purchased at 'Steinprent' down on the harbour side of Torshavn.
The islands are truly awe-inspiring with massive scope for the imagination. We were enchanted by the beauty all around.
Our first taste of the islands was definitely a moreish experience and I'm sure we'll be back. After all, got Kalsoy to explore as well as a rematch with the sea over to the Mykinese.
We never would have been able to experience everything we did without your careful planning and organising so thanks a million, it made all the difference.
We'll keep your card for future adventures.
This trip was a definite winner
This trip was a definite winner, and Emma was extremely helpful and made all the plans very easy.
A Very Special Holiday
This was a Covid postponed trip, but the wait was well worth it. We had a very special time, both in Tromso and on Vengsoy Island. Both very different, but both very wonderful. Highlights - hot tub at the cabins in Vengsoy and our Northern Lights trip by Tesla in Tromso.
Emma could not have been more helpful. Always ready to offer advice and support and check that everything was Ok. A very memorable experience.

Emma Durkin was quite simply the most helpful tour operator I have ever dealt with. From our very first telephone call of enquiry, right through she has been exceptional. Always giving ideas, suggestions and solutions to progress, especially in these extremely difficult situations due to the pandemic.
We ended up having a magical holiday , two holidays rolled into one and our first ever Christmas away.
I can without a shadow of doubt rate this to anyone.
Thank you Emma.

Fantastic service and fantatstic team
One of the nicest holidays I've ever had
Where the Wild Is organised a wonderful holiday in Iceland for us & made everything smooth & easy (we travelled about by car, staying at various different hotels, all of which were excellent). Their app is especially useful (all reference numbers, tickets, vouchers, etc in one place, as well as an itinerary & maps), & Emma was extremely helpful, answering all our questions promptly & making great suggestions. Highly recommended!

Excellent personal Service from Emma who managed the entire trip with flights for me hassle free. She was always available and quick to get the information over. I would highly recommend using Where The Wild Is for the trip.
The trip itself was magical even if you don’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, the whole experience is It.

Every aspect of our holiday was handled perfectly
Every aspect of our holiday was handled perfectly; from the initial booking, right through to the day we flew home!
We spoke to Emma at where the wild is, and not only did she make sure we had every activity and experience we wanted, she also suggested things we hadn't even thought of!
Everything was taken care of from the moment we touched down, transfers, activities, meals, we didn't have to worry about a thing!
I was surprised that in just 3 days we could pack so much in!
We had some down time to relax and enjoy the sauna or go play in the snow, but we also had plenty to keep us busy! Be it trips out in the evenings hunting for the Aurora Borialis; husky rides, visiting the local Sami people, fishing on the frozen lake, meeting some reindeer and having a sleigh ride, or going for a drive on a snow mobile. We honestly had the time of our lives!
Ive travelled a fare bit in my life but I've honestly never had such a good holiday! Packing so much into such a short trip was just what we wanted.
The enitial booking with Emma was great, and having her throughout was super useful. She had been to our hotel and done most of the activities before so gave us some top tips, right down to what would be sensible to pack!
I can't recommend Where The Wild Is highly enough! Our holiday couldn't of been better! Luxury rooms, great people, awesome experiences ... And I'm sure Emma even made sure the northern lights came out for us on our last night 😉
Perfect holiday, and I will certainly be booking again soon.

Norway Trip
I was lucky enough to win The Lonely Planet competition for a "Winter Trip to Arctic Norway" with Where the Wild Is.
Emma could not have been more helpful, explaining all the elements of the trip to us and sharing her enthusiasm for Norway. All the arrangements went without a hitch - flights, transfers, hotel, cable car and boat trip. We had a wonderful time, experiencing the Northern lights as well as seeing humpback whales and Orcas in the wild while aboard the fabulous Brim Explorer hybrid boat. We couldn't have been better looked after and I would not hesitate to recommend Where the Wild is for anyone wanting an Arctic adventure.

Norway trip
They organised a trip to Norway for us and it went without a hitch. Didn't have to worry about a thing, everything from flights, hotel, transfers and trips, sorted and top quality.
This trip ticked 3 things off my bucket list, 1. stayed within the Arctic Circle, 2. saw the Aurora Borealis, 3. saw Orca whales in the wild.
If you’re looking for a unique and hassle free experience to somewhere ‘wild’, then I would have no hesitation in recommending “Where the Wild Is”.

What a memorable trip !!
We would like to thank Emma for putting together a very exciting trip to Iceland for us.
My family really enjoyed the various excursions that were booked for us.
We drove a 4 x4 around Route 1 - just be organised in your timing to get the most out everything !
All the hotels that she booked for us were excellent with yummy food and situated in very interesting and isolated places.
The Blue Lagoon was a fantastic experience.
I loved the amphibian boat trip amongst the glaciers and the seals , it was absolutely stunning and the Ice Cave trek was scary but spectacular !!
The only thing we didn’t see was a puffin or the Northern Lights but that didn’t matter as our trip was sooo memorable for the three generations of my family . Emma’s thoughtful touches leading up to the trip were much appreciated.

Norway trip
I had never visited Norway but was inspired to see the most northerly botanical gardens in the world in Tromso. Emma at WTWI made this possible by planning a great itinerary for me as a solo traveller, to include this and other special activities in the pretty town. I felt totally confident of the arrangements and moved seamlessly on to spend three nights beside a fjord at the fabulous Lyngen Experience Lodge. Visited and recommended by Emma.
Emma is both engaging and professional and ensures that you can relax and enjoy your trip from start to finish.
Where The Wild Is - I most certainly recommend this company.
