Poor Customer Services

Original hotel which we booked was apparently fully booked and was offered a hotel which was a lot poorer in quality and further away from the city, we eventually picked another hotel to then find out we could book rooms in the original hotel online ourselves, I complained about this to then be told we could have the room in the original without breakfast but was only told this when I made the complaint, this has made me feel that they tried to trick me into picking a low quality hotel to benefit them.

Unfortunately I had to cancel our trip in the end due to passport issues, this holiday is non-refundable however I wanted to still use their services on another trip so I asked if we could transfer the value for another trip that they offer or move the dates for the hotel and lose out on the Rugby, however I was sent a patronising email back from them telling me "They are non-refundable packages and Passports renewals are only £75 per person online if that helps."
There was no effort or sympathy towards the situation just a “it is what it is” approach.

I can put my money on the fact customer services will not get in contact.

Hello and thanks for your review.
With you booking only one month prior to the event, you were already in the 100% cancellation period. We pay our suppliers at the time of booking who are similarly on 100% cancellation fees at this point.
Sometimes hotels oversell or close, either on a temporary or permanent basis. In cases like this, we offer hotels of at least the same quality as the original.
We do advise that everybody has full travel insurance covering them from the time of booking.

Wowcher

Really poor service trying to cancel a Wowcher booked by my girlfriend just 6 days after booking in order to give them the maximum notice in order to cause them minimum impact on their business.

When I spoke to someone who described themselves as a member of staff it turns out he was the manager of the company Shay. He was unhelpful and rude and didn't want to help or look into our query at all.

We are nearly £400 out of pocket so far. Wowcher are willing to offer a cash refund to my girlfriend but World Choice Sports refuse to communicate with anyone.

Rude, Abrasive and now will not reply to emails or calls

Have contacted Ombudsman and Resolver and urge everyone in the same boat to do the same.

Elderly lady & daughter SCAMMED by World Choice Sports over Christmas surprise!!!

Just arrived back at the hotel World Choice Sport booked for my elderly mother's Christmas Surprise.
On arrival the manager informed me - name available on request - that we had been booked a two levels below ground room with no air conditioning which he said he felt was not "suitable" for my elderly mother
The manager offered a room.upgrade for immediate payment.
On arrival at the Aldwych Theatre the "few steps" promised by Graeme turned out to be three flights of stairs down & back up. The seating which Graeme promised my mother could see the Tina Musical from clearly - which was the whole reason for paying WorldXhoiceSports all our Christmas Money - was almost at the very back of the stalls.
The rest of the theatre goers on Row Q were so upset for my mother that they insiated I speak to the Theatre staff. May was so kind in moving my mum to where she could clearly see the second half of the tina turner musical fafter missing out on the first half. Due also to craning her neck to see past two very tall women sat right in front of us.
Because of the lies told by WorldChoiceSports about the stairs to the stalls the theatre staff had to find my mother an easy access exit. We paid multipe hundreds of pounds to have our Christmas ruined by WorldChoiceSports. This Christmas Surprise has turned into a total Christmas nightmare!
There is no excuse for this shoddy treatment when we paid hundreds of pounds to make an elderly lady's Christmas memorable. Not like this! ☹

Tried to treat my mother for Christmas via your company. Found out from the Aldwych Theatre & hotel that we could have gotten a fairer deal directly with them. We called within 48.hours & no one called back. I received no email or text until two days ago although the £330 was immediately taken over 10 days previously. How was I to know you do not consider these actions a scam? I called my bank and they said, "You have most probably been scammed" Do you employ staff that cheat women of their savings?
Sadly, your agent Graeme did not make me aware that there was no refund policy or I would not have given access to my banking info. Also I would not have called over and over trying to reach Graeme to cancel the 'deal' two days later only to be told by Nathan that Graeme was in staff training & would call me back. I waited over a week-and-a-half for the call back that never came. Then called & spoke to Lyndsey, a lovely lady who explained Graeme was on annual leave. She provided an email. I immediately sent an email. Raj replied & now I have emailed Shay Soni. I am deeply frustrated as our Christmas has now been ruined by this experience.

We have listened to the full recording of the conversation with your agent Graeme. We could hear how friendly & caring he was. However, there was no mention of what you quoted above. Listen to your own recording or ours. It is your choice. As World Choice Sports procedure - documented by yourselves above - was not followed please advise of your complaints & refund procedure?

You chose a 4* central London hotel and quality tickets right in the centre of the stalls (ground level with excellent view of the stage.) You were informed at the time of booking that once confirmed, this was non-refundable and non amendable as it was less than three weeks between the date of booking and your stay.
We take issue with being accused of cheating anybody of their savings. We offer a full range of hotels, durations and ticket types to suit all budgets.

Wonderful holiday & service

Thank you Worldchoice for planning and booking our October half term holiday to Gran Canaria, for some very welcome winter sun. Lindsey was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful ... plus putting us at ease navigating us through travelling with Covid rules, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to book again with Worldchoice.

Tickets refund 6 Nations

I recently received my ticket refund for Italy v England 6 Nations from Worldchoice Sports I also received my trip refund in 2020 .
They have been totally supportive and helpful and through a difficult period during 2020 .
Having struggled to get refunds from other trips booked in 2020.
I would like to thank all @ WCS for all their help and assistance during this period.
Looking forward to a chance to book my next sports event during better times.

I booked a 6 nations trip for a significant birthday. It was rescheduled which I was happy with. It then became a no crowd event and I requested a refund. This was dealt with promptly and professionally in difficult circumstances.

Booked for 6 Nations

Booked for 6 Nations. Promised a full refund. Got most of it back fairly quickly, but had to wait for Italy to refund the ticket money to Worldsports. Have this now. Difficult times, but all emails were responded to and all the money received now.

Like many others on here I was meant to go to Rome to watch the Italy v England six nations match last year. WorldchoiceSports staff were amazing throughout. Can’t fault their efforts at all. Yes refunds took a while but there was no doubt that there would be full reimbursement as soon as practicable. Fully appreciate the efforts made during such a difficult time.

booked 6 nations tickets with world choice .
Due to the on-going issues in the world for obvious reasons this didn,t happen.
I would say though i have been impressed with how world choice handled this ,they have kept us informed and delivered on what they said they would
I would not hesitate to recommend this company .
I will certainly be using them again ..

We booked our 3rd Six Nations event with Worldchoicesports but unfortunately due to COVID we were unable to attend. It has taken time for the refunds to be made but all has now been received. The company have worked hard to respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner and I would use them again in the future.

COVID-19 review

Booked a 6 nations event, unfortunately due to COVID-19 it didn’t happen. They responded to my emails in timely manner and eventually we had to settle for a refund. Given the circumstances they did what they could.

Great customer service considering the extreme circumstances

We were booked to go to Rome as a package in March 2020. Obviously, that failed to go-ahead due to Covid-19

I thought Worldchoice Sports did everything that could in the circumstances to make the process of refunding the money as painless as possible.

Yes, it did take a while but they kept us informed, especially when we asked.

In my view, you find out more a company when things go wrong and how they react. Suffice to say, I will definitely look to book again and have no hesitation in recommending.

Worldchoice response was excellent

Through Worldchoice Sports we had booked Italy V England rugby match for March 2020. With the Covid-19 situation this was postponed and once it became official that refunds were due, we had an excellent response and the majority of our money was returned. The final part was sorted, once the Italian federation had completed their side. Overall, at these difficult times we feel that Worldchoice have responded in a swift and fair way.

WCS were very professional throughout the refund process

Like some of the other reviewers I had booked a package to see Italy v England in March last year. Some of the package was booked through Secret Escapes and the other through WCS. All my communications with WCS were answered in a timely fashion despite the pressure of them having to deal with an unprecedented demand for refunds. I was kept up to date and finally received the last of my refunds today. I have been very impressed with WCS throughout this process which is more than I can say for Secret Escapes, who I will never use again!

I look forward to using WCS again when the world returns to some form of normality!

Was lucky enough to see the Scotland…

Was lucky enough to see the Scotland game in Rome this year. Worldchoice helped me with choosing a suitable hotel and offered upgraded tickets (which I will take next time!)

They really knew theie stuff and obviously knew Rome very well. Would use again.

Good result for Scotland too!

Good company to deal with

In November 2019 we booked a package holiday through Secret Escapes to see England play Italy in Rome in March 2020; as we all now know the game was postponed. The communications from WCS was proactive, timely, professional and courteous and I did not chase the company for a few months as I fully expected refunds to take some time. Having booked through SE we had three separate refunds; the deposit from SE, the balance from WCS and the tickets from WCS (after refund from the Italian Federation). Whilst the refunds took longer than I had hoped, I am just pleased we were eventually refunded in full and I cannot criticise WCS for their part in the process.

I booked with Worldchoice Sports for the Italy v England game

I booked with Worldchoice Sports two years ago to go to the Italy V England game in Rome the experience was amazing everything was in place and we both enjoyed the few days in Rome. When the chance came again this year i once again booked with Worldchoice Sports for the Italy v England game expecting the same treatment. However Covid hit the world and everything changed, first the postponement then cancellation, i left communication for a while hoping the situation would resovle itself. The game was rescheduled for October but this time behind closed doors.i contacted the company and cant fault the response i received and have now after a patient wait have received a full refund. Thank you Worldchoice Sports for dealing with the no doubt thousands of refunds over the year. will look forward to dealing with you again in the not too distant future Many thanks
