Refund for cancellations of Rugby matches.

As a rugby fan I have used Worldchoice sports to purchase tickets and accommodation for the Six Nations Rugby championship matches. I have experienced a very good response from the company and this year due to the Covid 19 situation my trip to Rome was cancelled. My refunds came and although I had to wait for my deposit to be refunded the hold up being due to the Italian Rugby Federation holding up the payments back to Worldchoice sports I have now received all the money that I paid in. I would definitely use Worldchoice sports again and would recommend this company to others.

Rome rugby trip

We booked rugby for Rome last March via Secret Escapes. Sadly all went Covid wrong. SE passed whole issue onto World Choice Sports despite my having paid them a third in advance. I feared I was going to lose all we paid for flight, hotel & game ticket. Slowly but surely World Choice worked through every aspect for us & i guess for many others. I have had everything paid back & I really appreciate it. Despite my concerns I had a good feeling about this company, which has been fully justified & I would not hesitate to use them again, if ever allowed to go to an event again! Well done World Choice Sports!!

As you mentioned, we have had some issues with certain third parties.
Refunds for the monies we took were issued within a decent timescale given the effect that covid has had on the whole industry but we are aware that certain parts of your refund were delayed for reasons beyond our control for which we can only apologise. As you correctly mentioned, we have had many many refunds to process for the Six Nations (and other events).
Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time and thanks once again for taking the time to leave us a positive review.

My first dealings with this company was…

My first dealings with this company was almost two years ago when I booked tickets for the Italy England rugby match in Rome. I found them to be efficient and professional. In all my dealings with them they maintained this approach. Then came Covid and they were placed in a very difficult position, first they contacted me re postponement and then with cancellation. They were helpful and apologetic and offered a full refund. Despite being in a strange world they answered my queries clearly. However, they did need chasing for the final set of monies but this was due to a misunderstanding of what the refund was for, When this was finally sorted the money was BACS transferred the same day.

World Sports have been excellent

World Sports have been excellent both in booking our Six Nations Trip pre-pandemic and the post pandemic when the ‘holiday and sports event got cancelled. I found them to be professional and responsive. They refunded our holiday efficiently and within their promised timelines. Cant fault them thank you to Raj who was exemplary in dealing with our refund and communication

Like other customers I organized a trip…

Like other customers I organized a trip to Rome for the 6 Nations only for it to be postponed and then cancelled thru no fault of Worldchoice. I knew that my refund of £2996 would take time for obvious reasons and to be fair to the company they have done everything they promised. Many other travel companies and airlines have not been so good. So money returned, England Champions a good ending. I wish Worldchoice all the best in these most trying of times.

It has been a very difficult year for…

It has been a very difficult year for everyone especially the travel industry.
I booked a trip to Rome for the Italy/England rugby match through World Choice Sports for my husbands 60th Birthday, due to Covid this was cancelled. I really feel for company’s like this who had to refund a lot of money through no fault of their own, yes I had to wait for my total refund but due to the circumstances I expected too.
The company have been nothing but apologetic and professional at all times. Thank you World Choice Sports and I truly hope 2021 is a better year for you.

This company is still illegally holding…

This company is still illegally holding on to £100 ticket money. They have just replied to my last Trust Pilot review saying refunds have been made. If so, where is my £100 ?
Fed up with excuses, so about to embark on escalating the situation.

As we are sure you can appreciate, we are in an industry which has been hit especially hard by the pandemic and we are refunding all of our customers when we have received the returned funds from our suppliers. Still waiting refund !!!!

Like many others , we are still waiting for refunds for Six Nation Tickets . Despite numerous e mails , Raj always has some excuse/reason for being unable to return our money . Absolutely appalling customer service . Would never use World Choice again and would certainly advise others to avoid them at all costs .

If I could give this company no starts…

If I could give this company no stars I would!!! Booked a Wowcher deal through them for Harry Potter World and a hotel stay, due to Covid and where I live being placed in Tier 3 I cannot travel to go there as per government advice. Emailed them this information and because of the circumstances asked to change it, was told this can’t be done and I can’t get a refund - basically saying I either break government advice or lose my £200 I have paid already. After going back and forth over email with the most UNHELPFUL member of staff I have ever come across who had no sympathy for the situation they finally said they would try to change it with Harry Potter world but at a £25pp admin fee cost. The fact I now have to pay more money to change a date of something I cannot go to without breaking government advice is a absolute shambles!!!! When I checked the Harry Potter website they have no problem in changing the date for you due to these circumstances so I can only think this company is complete scammers and THE worst company I have come across. Avoid at all costs.

IF IT ALL GOES WRONG, U WONT GET A REFUND

They really are a bunch of con men. Raj resides point blank refuses to refund the ticket price of the rugby tickets until they get it back. When I spoke to Mr Soni the CEO and pointed out that he was breaking law, his reply was “I don’t care”. They want me to send the tickets back which I will do. I will also be issuing court proceedings. Let a judge decide who is in the wrong. Book with this company at your peril. They are selling all kinds of trips including cruises which have no chance of taking place. Book and I guarantee u won’t get your money back for months. Just don’t take the chance. Don’t put yourself in the position that so many of us are in. Book with a company that has a money back guarantee for COVID. Don’t let them take anymore of your hard earned cash. This is also the company that cancelled hundreds of tickets for the Liverpool match in Kiev in 2018 at the last minute and almost had a riot on their hands

Do not ever book with these guys

Do not ever book with these guys. They will not refund you under the COVID pandemic. The booking was protected under ATOL , which hasn’t made a difference at all.
We paid £4794 in total to watch England v italy in March. We only managed to get £3500 paid under section 75 on the credit card claim scheme , not there monies. And are still awaiting the rest. It was booked over 12 months ago.

ZERO STARS - same with our Six Nations Booking. Still waiting for my refund. Attitude of the agents deplorable - “IF YOU WANT A REFUND YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT” etc. These scammers need educating on how to respond politely and professionally. Will NEVER use these crooks or Secret Escapes again - I booked through SE and then received notification that my contract was with WCS. Would never have booked this otherwise.

Deposit and ticket money being witheld

Along with many others I have received poor service and response regarding a refund for the cancelled 6 nations match in Rome. And after reading all tje posts below it looks like I am not the only 1.

When this was cancelled in March, Worldchoice Sports used the excuse that as they were not in the office they would not be able to issue any refunds - but they did ask for the tickets to be returned to them.

Since then it has been a constant stream of excuses as to why they will not refund the full amount - even though they issued a full invoice which clearly states £500 deposit received!

As many have found - they are refusing to repay the £500 deposit that we had paid to Secret Escapes.

I have contacted Secret Escapes and they have been extremely helpful in trying to resolve this but as the deposit money has been paid by them to Worldchoice Sports the contract to refund is with Worldchoice Sports.
Looking at the ABTA website there is clear guidance that any refund credit note must be for the exact amount that is owed as refund - which leads me to believe this was a cynical move to avoid repayment.

When I contacted Worldchoice Sports with this information we received a curt one liner reply that 'their MD had agreed with Secret Escapes MD on the repayment' - so we contacted the Secret Escapes MD of European Operations and he replied that we are not the only ones being told this and that the deposit monies had been paid on to Worldchoice Sports and therefore they are contractually bound to process the full refund.

After a further email to Worldchoice Sports in July I have heard nothing back at all otjer than an automated email response.

Yesterday 4th Sept an email from WCS saying that SE are paying out the deposit money, when I sent that respone to SE they said no thats wrong and it should be WCS refunding, absolute joke someone has my deposit, I suppose next its legal action?

Zero stars, I am not going to repeat my story because its exactly the same as the last nine posts....but it looks like WCS have done a runner with the secret escapes deposits....Maybe we should crowdfund and take them to court together...they do not deserve to keep trading! They have no respect for their customers. Do they realise that without customers there is no business!!

Terrible Customer Service

So disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from this company. I have been incredibly patient and understanding of the difficult situation they face, but I am being lied to and ignored. I booked 3 nights in Rome through Secret Escapes including England v Rome rugby tickets. I have received part of the money back, but I am still waiting for £100 refund for my tickets and £500 for the original deposit. I keep being fobbed off and was told that it is nothing to do with World Choice Sports, even though my holiday is with them. If there is a dispute between World Choice Sports and Secret Escapes it is terribly unfair that I remain £600 out of pocket while they pass the buck and fail to get it resolved. I understand that I am entitled to a full refund for a package holiday and that this has still not been provided after 5 months is disgusting.

World choice did I read this right all…

World choice did I read this right all refunds have been processed. I don't thinks so we are still waiting for the £100 ticket refund and also we paid Secret Escapes our deposit which we have not got back Secret Escapes terms and conditions state our contract is with yet you keep fobbing us off saying secret escapes. You really need to stop lying to your customers and get it sorted. We are owed £600 and these difficult times we need it back!!!! Terrible customer service and now lies.

Mr Mrs Chambers travel date 13th March to Italy.

Terrible Customer Sevice

I am unsure I have ever received such poor customer service before.

We booked a 4 night break in Rome with tickets to the England v Italy rugby game via Secret Escapes and World Choice Sports which was cancelled due to Covid.

Since March I have been chasing for my £4794 refund of which I have yet to receive a penny.

World Choice Sports have today offered to refund £2994.00 of the money however they are withholding £300.00 for the cost of the tickets are say they are not responsible for the £1500.00 deposit paid to Secret Escapes.

Secret Escapes say the contract is between me and World Choice Sports who should be refunding the whole amount and World Choice Sports say Secret Escapes are responsible and so the debacle goes on.

5 months after the trip was cancelled and I'm still no further forward.

I have been more that patient waiting for a refund given the current situation with Covid but World Choice Sports have used every excuse in the book not to refund monies that are owing. Why should I be the one to loose £1800 of my hard earned cash?

I will never, ever use this company again.

Looks like legal advice will be the next step!

What a joke of a company!

What a joke of a company!!
I've been nothing but patient, and sent several 'nice' emails but last week became so exasperated that I've threatened them with the press and /or taking legal advice, but still not had a response! Ignorant or what?!!!
I had our booking for the England v Italy rugby match cancelled by them in February, but haven't had a penny of my £1100+ money refunded? Just £50 which I paid for two carry on bags.
WHERE'S THE REST OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY?

I've just read your responses to a couple of people about a week ago saying most should now have received their refunds ... where is mine? It is now nearly 5 months since you cancelled this trip due to Corona virus!!
