I just want to say a big thank you to Ayub from Ace Cars. As a young woman travelling home alone after a night out, he made me feel completely safe and comfortable. He chatted with me the whole way, made sure I got through my front door before driving off, and showed genuine care the entire time. Your kindness didn’t go unnoticed, Ayub — it’s truly appreciated.

8.15am I pre booked a taxi for 9.05am. At 9.15 I called to ask where the driver was, they said he’d be with me in 2-3minutes. After 2 more calls to their office and still being told he’s nearly with you, he finally turned up at 9.38am. I was 25 minutes late for an eye injection appointment and because I was late I had to wait two and a half hours to be seen. Very stressful. The driver said he hadn't been notified of the job until 9.05. When I called to complain they just kept coming up with excuses. They didn’t think they needed to notify that they didn’t have a car available so that I could make other arrangements. I said I wanted to speak to one of the company’s 3 directors and was told one of them would phone me. After phoning every day for a week asking why no one had got back to me I gave up. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.

The main thing you need from a taxi company is for them to be reliable. Ace Cars *totally* let me down.

Not only did the driver fail to show up at the pre-booked time - they also failed to notify me. I was left standing on the street in the small hours of the morning with a young child until I called them and asked why no car had arrived at the pre-booked time. 'The driver is not coming, sorry' was all I was told. This being a significant amount of time after the pre-booked pickup time. No effort was made to contact me and allow me to make alternative arrangements.

When I submitted a complaint to the company it was not even acknowledged and no apology was forthcoming. I would advise using ANY other Reading based taxi company over this one.

DO NOT PRE-BOOK! Atrocious! Pre-booked taxi days in advance to ensure we could get to the station for the last train on a Saturday night. Phoned in the afternoon to double check the booking was made and ensured it was. Taxi was late, so called and told it was 10min late! Called again and was told it was 1min away! Called again - no answer!! Finally got through - zero response! DO NOT PRE-BOOK.

Used this company on a few occasions for airport drop off and pick up. Always great.
Easy to use and reliable app for booking. Used them twice this week for drop off and pick up at hospital as my wife had to go in for day surgery. Car was early in the a.m. and let me know they were waiting. In the evening I had to phone to amend the pick up time and they did this without any issue. Drivers are always polite. Cars always clean and rates are reasonable. Thanks

I have used this company a few times over the past few months and I have to say that today is my last time using them. The pre booking system that they use isn't very efficient at all, every taxi I have pre booked is either 10/15minutes late ( which has caused me to miss trains to work ) or 10/15 mins Early.........

On the rare couple of occasions the taxi has been early the driver has called me to let me know they have arrived to which I have responded saying I'm not quite ready yet I will be out in 10mins or so. They then call you again 5 mins later to see if you're ready yet 😂😂😂😂 that's bad customer service right there, not to mention it's been during the early hours of the morning.

I have been more than reasonable and given this company the benefit of the doubt but sadly today was the final nail in the hypothetical coffin so I won't be using them again, hopefully they will take heed of this and other reviews and try and improve their service.

Absolutely awful untrustworthy company, do not use them. Pre-booked, didn’t show! Pretended they had called, pretended the wrong number was on the booking, didn’t send cabs at all and then had the driver getting shirty as had not been advised of costs agreed. Rip off and awful. Left waiting for over an hour. Horrendous!

Last two journeys booked were a disaster. One booked for pick up at 6am … text confirmation to that effect. Car turned up at 1am. Had to call again in the morning for another car and ended up missing my train. Last journey I booked a couple of days in advance for an early morning pick up only to get a call 7pm the night before to say they couldn’t do it leaving me with little time to find alternative transport. Had other pick ups from them in the past and at least half have been late. They have become more and more unreliable and won’t be using them again.

Amazing service, the drivers are so friendly and patient, my flight landed but was held on the runway for an hour and the chap was so understanding, had to pay the parking fee but that's more than understandable given he had to wait for an hour extra. Highly recommended.

We asked to be picked up at one place and when we eventually contacted driver we were told we had to walk to get to him. He was late and he didn't put us on clock. He just charged us what he wanted. Bit unhappy. A rip off company. Would not use agian. What a pity. Are all reading taxis like this or is it just this company. Leaves

a bad taste of reading.
