Aldermore Bank Reviews 

Aldermore's online banking has now been down for at least three days. There seem to be no updates and no way to contact because their customer service is closed. It's concerning that their systems can be down for this long. The response from the Bank suggest this is not an uncommon occurrence.

Excellent. Good interest rates, good range of accounts, easy to use app and excellent customer service on occasions needed to contact by phone.

My experience is excellent. I find their savings and cash ISA rates very competitive and with the standard yearly fixed rate options, interim rates available, ie 15 months, enabling more flexibility.

I have been saving with them for over 4 years and no issues have arisen.

A senior underwriter confirmed to my broker on 30 April that all requirements had been met and that the case would be progressed to offer.

This is the final of four cases, with the other three offers already issued.

Since that confirmation, despite repeated follow-ups and escalation through multiple channels, there has been no meaningful update.

The delay is now directly costing me money, as I remain on bridging finance unnecessarily.

As a professional property investor with a substantial portfolio, I understand that underwriting delays can happen. What is far harder to understand is the complete silence after confirmation that a case was progressing to offer.

I would welcome contact from Aldermore’s customer service team to urgently resolve this.

A day later, follow-ups from my broker, a direct email to Aldermore’s mortgage advisers team, and even a LinkedIn message to Aldermore yesterday (despite LinkedIn displaying an average response time of within 1 hour), there has been no meaningful response.

Ive been a customer of Aldermore for several years. You can see that their rates are competitive by looking at any comparison site. What you can't see is how easy they are to deal with and how good their communication is.

One of best rates of interest for cash I.S.A, at the time, with ability to transfer my cash I.S.A.
Had accounts with them before and had no problems with easy opening of accounts.

Easy to set up online banking access, ISA application and transfer in request. All set up email confirmations received within 30 minutes of starting the process.

Easy to set up new accounts online. Good fixed interest rates for Cash ISA and Double Access Savings Account. Clear emails including quick notification of payment transfers received.

Bank is incompetent, unhelpful and has staff without knowledge of subjects they should have understanding of.
