Lovely lunch and great team.
:) we had a lively time whilst showing friends around the city
Very disappointing experience at All…
Very disappointing experience at All Bar One Windsor.
Our initial waitress was lovely and kindly brought our drinks to the table, which gave us a good first impression. However, when we wanted to order food, the service quickly went downhill.
We waited quite a while trying to get the attention of staff who were standing behind the bar chatting. Eventually, another waitress came over and simply told us to use the app to place our order. As there wasn’t a single other customer in the restaurant at the time, I asked why a member of staff couldn’t just take our order. The response was simply, “You use the app.”
At that point, we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere.
I genuinely don’t understand why All Bar One chooses to deliver customer service in this way. Technology should enhance the customer experience, not replace basic hospitality. With so much competition in Windsor and an empty restaurant, you’d think providing attentive service would be a priority. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and undervalued as customers.

Formal Complaint Regarding Service and Management Conduct
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the service my party and I received during our visit to All Bar One New Street at approximately 2:15pm.
Upon arrival, there was no interaction or acknowledgement from any member of staff regarding seating. We walked through to the restaurant area and still were not greeted, acknowledged, or approached by anyone. Initially, we sat near the pass area but felt somewhat out of the way, so we moved further into the restaurant where a server was cleaning tables nearby, hoping that we would receive some form of acknowledgement or service.
During this time, three members of staff walked past us without speaking to us or checking whether we required assistance. Meanwhile, a manager was seated at the bar using a laptop and chatting with members of the team rather than overseeing the restaurant floor.
Whilst waiting, I also observed team members standing around the pass area chatting. One team member was eating chips from the pass whilst still visibly working on the floor. This appeared highly unprofessional. Had they been on a designated break away from customers, this would have been understandable; however, this was not the impression given.
After waiting approximately 20 minutes without any acknowledgement or service whatsoever, I approached a manager to raise my concerns. When I asked whether he was the manager, he replied, "I am one of the managers."
I began explaining that we had been waiting nearly 20 minutes without any service. His immediate response was to ask whether we had a booking. Whether we had booked or not is largely irrelevant to the issue, as no member of staff had approached us to ask this question or explain the restaurant's service procedures.
I explained that we had not booked, but also pointed out that there was no host present and no member of staff available to direct customers. Given that nobody had spoken to us since arrival, I questioned how staff would have known whether we had a booking or not.
The manager advised that they did not have a host because they were short-staffed and that they were not offering table service due to staffing levels. Unfortunately, this came across as though the staffing issues were being presented as the customer's problem rather than being managed appropriately by the business.
What I found particularly frustrating was that despite being told the venue was short-staffed, there appeared to be multiple team members walking around with little sense of urgency, one member of staff visibly eating food on the floor, and a manager sitting behind a laptop. If staffing levels were genuinely causing service issues, I would have expected management to be supporting the operation rather than focusing on administrative tasks.
The manager, James, became argumentative when I raised these concerns and displayed what I considered to be a dismissive and unprofessional attitude throughout the conversation. At one point, he attempted to justify the team member eating food by stating that she was on her break. However, she remained visible on the restaurant floor in full uniform. If this was indeed a break period, appropriate steps should have been taken to ensure this was not visible to customers.
What ultimately led us to leave was not simply the lack of service. Whilst waiting 20 minutes without acknowledgement was unacceptable, the attitude displayed by the manager when I politely raised the issue was far worse. Rather than listening to a customer's concerns and attempting to resolve them, he appeared defensive, argumentative, and dismissive throughout the interaction.
As a result, we chose to leave the venue without ordering. I refuse to spend my money in an establishment where customers are treated with such little respect. Good customer service starts with basic courtesy, and unfortunately that was completely absent during our visit.
I would also like to highlight that I am currently 30 weeks pregnant. Throughout this interaction, I was the person raising concerns and seeking assistance, yet the manager seemed more interested in arguing his position than addressing the issues being raised. I found it particularly disappointing that a customer visibly requiring assistance was met with confrontation rather than understanding and professionalism.
Having worked within the hospitality industry myself and having extensive experience with Mitchells & Butlers venues, I am fully aware of the standards that should be expected. The level of service we received, combined with the attitude displayed by management when concerns were raised, fell significantly below those standards.
I would appreciate this complaint being investigated
Will not accept IDs that most…
Will not accept IDs that most international students use, which is discrimination. They used the excuse that its faked often BUT the most faked ID in the uk are passports and driving liscences. It is racism and discrimination. Don't give them your money!
I am now unsubscribing to this company…
I am now unsubscribing to this company as fed up of their false n unclear marketing and promotions. Today silly me went to have lunch in Wimbledon branch as Today it was a meal n drink for £13, in Wimbledon due to location it was £14.30 and can't use my blue light card so have to go via app? Yes did read very small print! We shouldn't have stayed in Wimbledon Village as we spent alot more to get a decent lunch.
All Bar One this is the last time you catch me out. Honesty in business is worth something!

Visited yesterday with my best friend…
Visited yesterday with my best friend after booking the Mates and Dates offer.
On arrival, we were left standing at the bar unsure where to wait and were not acknowledged by staff. We were then shown to a high table at the back, with another table so close beside it that it was very difficult to get seated comfortably. I found this quite embarrassing and uncomfortable.
Staff should be mindful that customers come in all shapes and sizes, and better seating options were available elsewhere. There was also no atmosphere, which made the overall experience feel quite flat.
When the bill arrived, we noticed the Mates and Dates offer had not been applied. Had we not checked, we would have been overcharged by £25. This was corrected when queried.
Finally, when leaving, none of the staff said goodbye.
Unfortunately, this was my first visit and will also be my last.
All Bar One- Victoria
.
We were in (originally) a party of seven adults, booked well in advance, on the evening of the marathon, so we expected it to be busy and it was. However, being busy is no excuse for abysmal service, very very average food and a general lack of disdain from every member of staff from the moment we arrived.
Arriving in plenty of time we were steered in the direction of our table, having to battle our way through the hordes of shouty, tight pant wearing men who refused to move. Sat at our table which was clearly only large enough for four people we were approached by a very stern faced and slightly aggressive woman who demanded to know if we were the reservation party and what the name was (surely the first person would have confirmed this, but hey!). After telling her our party was now 6 not 7 she then asked if we were ready to order? Pretty difficult as we’d literally sat down 2 minutes earlier and had no menus, she then strutted off (back to military HQ I assume). We managed to find some menus shoved behind a light fitting and ordered via the QR code, as after 15 minutes nobody had approached us. In the meantime two of our party, who were both 6’ had to swap the child size stools the Gestapo officer had begrudgingly given us, for adult size chairs. Eventually our drinks arrived, two bottles of cider and no glasses! We managed to attract the attention of one of the disinterested staff to bring us glasses and we were given plastic pint glasses. Classy!
Finally, the food arrived, 3 of us had ordered the same thing, quesadillas, two arrived together, the third arrived after a ten minute wait and a surly waitress barking that ‘it’s coming!’
After three attempts at asking for condiments they finally arrived, when the server put them on the table she decided that shoving one of the party’s plate to the side as they were eating was the best way to make room.
A trip to the toilet was an adventure in itself, the actual experience was like a trip to a Rwandan refugee camp. Filthy toilets, overflowing urinals and two of the aforementioned tight trousers gang attempting a drug deal. We couldn’t wait to get out of there and if we were absolutely starving would definitely walk past. Absolutely shocking and definitely NOT recommended.
Very Good at Charing Cross.
Visited Charing Cross today and enjoyed the really good breakfast. Reasonably priced and and excellent customer service from the staff, especially 'Chief'.
Mothers Day Horror
I was treated to a Mothers Day brunch by my family. I ordered the avocado and feta on sourdough. When it came, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was one slice of toast lying on its own on the plate with avocado spread on it like butter instead of mashed! There were about 3 crumbly pieces of what might have been feta and one tiny red slice of what was presumably a slice of chilli pepper.
To charge £10 for what I had was appalling and the only reason I didn’t send it back was because I didn’t want to upset my daughter who organised the meal. I also insisted on paying for mine, as i didn’t want my kids to have to add it onto an already overpriced bill.
We will not be coming back to eat there again.
One more
One more: stick to two fonts max—bold for “Sajid Khan,” regular for the caption—and keep colors high-contrast (cyan or white text on the grassy background) so it reads from a distance.
We ordered online two coffees
We ordered online two coffees, one tea and a portion of hallumi fries. The fries came very quickly but waitor pretty much threw the plate leaning across two tables offered no knapkins. Our drinks arrived late after sitting on the counter for a while then we were told there is no milk we ran out! No milk really just go to the shops and get some poor excuse. Not happy over all. At the London south bank.
Halo? On a thief?
Ordered takeaway from their "Halo Kitchen". Out of 4 items, two were wrong, one was spilt during delivery and the last was missing entirely. No direct phone number was available. After emailing them, they refused to provide a refund and suggested I submit a claim via Just Eat (who also declined to refund because All Bar One had taken more than 24hrs to respond to my initial complaint).
Outstanding
Absalut great night food and drink amazing
Jessica was great all through the night
Must stop on tour in London
We were visiting London this past summer and stopped in for a bite. The food was delicious and service was amazing. We were impressed at the variety the menu offered and the atmosphere. This is definitely a little gem and we will be back as soon as we can. All staff were hard at work and so hospitable. It was so nice to see customer service executed so well. Kudos to the staff, Keep it up!
Great drinks and even better service!
Went out for drinks with a friend one evening, They were delightful, I was served very promptly upon arrival and they catered to my every need!
All Bar One - Wimbledon Xmas dinner
I had my office Christmas lunch at the Wimbledon branch. We also had our Christmas lunch there last year, and my entire meal was superb, so I was really looking forward to this year’s dinner. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed.
For my main course, I chose the turkey dinner, and it was awful. The potatoes tasted like cheap frozen ones and had black vein-like marks running through them. I was served only one pig in blanket (I had two last year), and it was burnt. There was just a tiny piece of broccoli. Overall, the quality of the ingredients was poor, and the portion size was much smaller compared to last year.
For dessert, I had a brownie. I was given three tiny pieces of what seemed to be shop bought brownies, which were burnt. I couldn’t even swallow them because they crystallised in my mouth. The coffee-flavoured sauce that came with it was disgusting. I ended up returning my dessert.
The starter was good, but that was the only positive. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and I left feeling hungry. I would not recommend having a Christmas dinner there, you will be disappointed.
