Service terrible. Tables dirty and not cleaned. Request basic things like salt and pepper and the waitress rolls her eyes and then ignores the request.

Appalling Ignorant behaviour

My review on the Windsor All Bar One

I am deeply disappointed with the behaviour of the bar staff during my visit to this establishment. I came here for a birthday drink on Friday, January 10th, at approximately 11 PM, and was met with an unacceptable level of disrespect and unprofessionalism.

Despite the bar being nearly empty, we were blatantly ignored, spoken to rudely, and treated with an overall lack of courtesy. When I inquired about the name of one particular staff member, I was deliberately misled. The individual, whose actual name was Dan, falsely claimed his name was Jack. This lack of honesty and accountability was further compounded by his unapologetic demeanor and overtly unpleasant attitude.

When I requested to speak with a manager, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Several staff members gathered around, and it appeared that the supposed on-duty manager, Finn, was largely silent while another staff member took the lead in addressing me rudely. This individual dismissively remarked, "What's the problem? You got your drinks," which was repeated to me again later as I left to speak to the manager.

Trying to ascertain the names and roles of the management team proved to be a frustrating and evasive ordeal, as no one seemed willing to provide clear information. When I finally spoke with the duty manager, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the poor treatment I had experienced.

Adding to this was an uncalled-for remark from another staff member, who asked, "Is your mate drunk?"—a completely inappropriate and irrelevant comment, especially given the circumstances.

Having visited many All Bar One locations in the past, this experience was shocking and entirely unacceptable. The behaviour of the staff was unprofessional and reminiscent of immature behaviour, not what one would expect from a bar in a prestigious area like Windsor. This level of service is appalling and reflects poorly on the establishment's management and staff training standards.

Please Get Your Act Together All Bar One - Waterloo

I have written a review on Trustpilot before about my previous experience at All Bar One in Waterloo, but it appears that nothing has changed. You would think after expressing my concerns, they might take note, but clearly, that is not the case.

Once again, my friend and I entered the restaurant hoping for a pleasant dining experience, only to be met with the same lack of basic customer service that I had previously encountered. We stood at the entrance for a good two minutes without a single soul greeting us. As we approached the reservation barrier—yes, we had made a booking—we waited hopefully to be seated.

Eventually, we were escorted to a corner booth, and that’s when our ordeal began. The person who seated us had the audacity to struggle with moving a chair that was clearly blocking my path to the bathroom. All I requested was to move it to a different spot in an empty area, and to my surprise, he huffed and puffed as if I had asked him to move Mount Everest. With my friend and I being the only customers in that particular area at the time, his irritation was baffling and frankly unacceptable. He insisted he had nowhere else to put the chair, leaving me bewildered.

What followed was a series of unfortunate events that I simply don’t have the strength to detail, but I will say that the service continued to spiral downward from there. Thankfully, there was one saving grace: Anton. This young man was an absolute gem, displaying professionalism and genuine concern for the customers despite the chaotic environment around him. It was clear that he was trying his best, not just for me but also for neighbouring tables who were equally dissatisfied with their service.

As for the so-called manager I spoke to, it was painfully obvious they were utterly uninterested in my complaints. Instead of addressing my concerns, they left Anton to manage the fallout of a situation that was clearly beyond his control. It felt as if they were more concerned about maintaining the status quo than about rectifying a flawed experience.

I can confidently say that this will be the last time I visit All Bar One in Waterloo. If they continue to ignore customers’ concerns and allow unprofessional behaviour, they are bound to lose more patrons. A restaurant comes down to the staff and their service, and unfortunately, this establishment has failed miserably on both fronts. Save your time and money; there are far better places to dine in Waterloo.

All bar one, what a let down

All bar one, waterloo.absolutly poor service. We had never been there before,we waited about 20mins before we realised you had to order on the app or at the bar, nobody told you. ( the app crashed) so we had to go to the bar. The food came out, my daughters was cold, when we complained we were told the receipt said it was sent out hot coming up to 1 o'clock but we received it at 10 past. My daughter was told she would have to speak to the manager, her answer was send him over. Funnily enough they sent a lovely member of staff Anton to give us a refund. And then one of the managers decided to turn up. The 2 lovely ladies on the next table had previously been to this bar and experienced bad service, but had given them another chance but had been let down by bad service again. Unfortunately Anton was left to deal with the fall out which was unfair. I personally think Anton should be trained up as manager, he did a much better job than the other two put together.

Sweet and well meaning waiters, lousy food

Sweet and well meaning waiters, who tried their best, but that's about the only positive thing, I can say. The rib eye was sold out, so we ordered 5 burgers and 1 fish & chips. We could see the burgers waiting for us at the counter, but when they were served at last, they were cold and the fish and chips didn't arrive until after we finished. The music was so loud we couldn't talk. Not at all nice.

I encountered a horrible and unprofessional manager.

I encountered a horrible and unprofessional manager.

I had a truly terrible experience at this restaurant while trying to book a reservation for my birthday. The level of disrespect I encountered from the manager was astounding.

Initially, I was told that I only needed to pay a deposit if my reservation exceeded 20 people, so I went ahead and secured the table. However, just four days later, when I called to check on the timing, I was informed they had added an extra hour to my reservation without any prior notice.

To make matters worse, the manager contradicted himself by saying they had started charging deposits from the previous Friday, despite my booking being made on Tuesday. Then he claimed that this new policy would begin in November. When I pointed this out, he shifted the blame onto the staff member for not knowing about the deposit requirement. Why should I be penalized for their lack of communication?

I ultimately had to cancel my reservation because I refused to pay a £200 deposit that had not been mentioned during the initial booking process. The manager’s lack of respect for customers is unacceptable.

Additionally, the restaurant itself is dirty and poorly maintained.

I strongly advise against visiting this establishment if you value honest and respectful service. It's a frustrating experience all around—**stay away from this place!**

Wouldn’t visit again

Visited yesterday evening (30th). Was sat waiting for an hour, and had to approach someone to order a drink/be acknowledged. Then waited a further 40mins to receive 1 of 2 drinks! Had been here nearly 2 hours at this point before we got our second drink and had to approach someone to order our meals. Had to rush our food down, pay and leave half way through as we were going to be late for a show. Not impressed at all. Felt like an inconvenience rather than a customer. Wouldn’t visit again.

Birmingham Airport Airside - Very poor

Birmingham Airport Airside - Long wait to be served followed by long wait to get breakfast. The breakfasts were pathetically small for the cost. £8.50 each for a very small bowl of cereal and a dry, barely warm bacon sandwich with hardly any bacon.
Tea & coffee machine broken, so no hot drinks available.
A disappointing start to our holiday!

George Street are setting M+B policy!!!

Went for brunch at the Edinburgh George Street on Friday 23 Aug 2024. I selected my usual to be told Brunch finished at 11.30. I told them that Brunch finishes at 12.00pm not 11.30. The person serving me said that the kitchen decided when meals are available. The website confirmed it is 12.00pm but they were not going to change there position. Fair enough so I went on to get my brunch somewhere else. Can you please bring company policy in line with the George Street pub kitchen.
