Just had a fantastic experience with America Rent a Car at Tulum Airport and wanted to share for anyone considering renting there. From the moment I landed, everything was smooth and hassle-free. The line at the counter was short, and the staff was friendly, professional, and spoke great English, which made the process even easier.
The car was clean, well-maintained, and exactly what I reserved—no surprises or upselling games like you sometimes get with other rental companies. They took the time to explain everything clearly, including insurance options, and there was zero pressure.
Returning the car was just as easy—fast inspection, no issues or hidden charges. Overall, super reliable service and great value for the price. I’d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone traveling to Tulum!

Avoid Avis
Avoid Avis. My deposit was never returned despite repeated promises. Months of calls and messages went unanswered, and no proof of refund was ever provided. I only recovered my money after filing a bank dispute. Extremely poor customer service and zero accountability.

Vehicles rented the pass two years, Tulum
We Rented multiple cars the pass two years, six months per year, the staff at the Tulum location are amazing. I would recommend this location to anybody looking to rend a vehicle. I also look forward to renting again for 2027

Great customer service
It was fast and easy, only problem I had was they didn’t except American express for insurance purposes. Shuttle service pick up and drop off was great. The employees were very helpful and customer friendly. All and all I will rent a car from them again.

It was amazing that the day before my flight, I received a call from the agency to confirm the car rental service, provide all the directions to reach them at the airport, including photos of the stand. It was very easy to follow these directions and felt very welcome from the beginning of the trip. The transport to the rental location was fun with the driver giving us some tips and recommendations for our staying. The car was more than what we expected to be and was great for the trip. I strongly recommend America Car Rental.
