The company was quick to answer all my questions. There was no hidden fees like other companies that I contacted. They were straight forward with everything since the beginning. The cost was reasonable. We rented our vehicle in pays del Carmen and was able to return it in Cancun. The whole process was smooth and convence! I’m already recommending this companies to my friends and family members.

They are friendly and reliable. They have always honored every quote and the service is impecible. I am a solo woman renting a vehicle in a country I am not from and I am very comfortable renting cars from them.

You have the better price in the market, but not the best customer service.

Honestly, this is the Best car rental I have ever used, and the only one I use in Mexico City...I started using this company since before rental co. would accept debit cards, a great friend Antonio directed me to them, and I have been satisfied every time.
I have even had experience with 2 car accidents, once a dog ran across my path on my way to return the the car, and WOW that left a big dent on the fender, the 🐶 made it off the highway...
Another time I was hit by a motorcyclist and again a big dent...on both occasions I feel that I was treated fairly and with compassion... Once I left a very important sacred staff ⚕️ there and it was taken care of until my return.

Excellent service! They were incredibly attentive, flexible, and helpful. I had a problem with my reservation, and they resolved it quickly. I highly recommend them.

The young lady who served us was very pleasant, and helpful. She helped bridge the language gap with a translator and explained everything so we could understand. Not all things operate the same here in Mexico as they do in our countries.
A word to the wise, take your own pictures of any scratches or dents before leaving the shop, and I believe the tank is suppose to be full, not empty. I will definitely rent from America car rentals again!

We booked a van and there wasn't a car available when we showed up at the correct time to get the car. They finally brought around a totally beat up minivan that was a severe downgrade. There was no A/C, it beeped when we drove it because the door seals were so nasty and raggedy and it smelled. It was filthy and we had agreed to pay $2500 for the car and were charged an extra $2500 for forced liability insurance. What a scam. But we are off the airport property, we've already handed over $2500 so there's nothing to do but be robbed by this company. Terrible terrible disgusting service.

I received very polite & honest support when I arrived. The vehicle was clean & nice.
When I returned the vehicle Yesenia was super helpful and made the process quick and easy.

The worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company. We received a car that could barely even turn on. When returning the car, they took so long and wasted our time, to the point that we almost missed our flight. The personnel was so unprofessional and we never received any paperwork to prove the contract. We've rented from other car rental companies and have never had any issues like we did with America Car Rental. I do not recommend and if I could I wouldn't even rate them a one star. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

My experience with America Car Rental was the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. They lured me with their low online price. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle it was not the car that they said I had reserved. It was an older model vehicle. They charged me an additional $300 for insurance, a toll transponder and other fees and demanded a $500 security deposit. The clerk was hostile and disrespectful. I would never recommend this car rental agency to anyone!

We got to the car rental place in Tampa and to our surprise the location was closed early. I called to see what to do and I was advised I had a 24 hour grace period so head over in the morning to get the car. We were supposed to leave for vacation at 5am but oh well, a little behind. We got to the rental car place which is not on the airport property BTW and they canceled our reservation because we weren't there by the close of day. The staff was so rude and didnt not care one bit that our vacation was ruined. He didnt even try to get us in another vehicle nor would he give us any paperwork that showed it was canceled. This place is scam.

Please do not even try to rent car from this company under any circumstances even if they give it to you for free, many hidden cost, waste trie, battery recovery charges, local taxes, list goes on about $150 extra charges, mandatory insurance purchases, I have heard from others lately you will not going to get your deposit back, this company is a total scam 100%. Do not attempt to go there because they located in worse area and requires to take two shuttles to get there, it is a nightmare..There are so many of these sort companies out there they offer cheaper rate to drag you there and force upon you to accept their ridiculous additional charges, which I did not and I walked away with Uber and I went back to airport and rented a car with Budget. This was in Miami

After paying full charge through priceline,I was forced to pay additional charges they claim were taxes that price line was not suppose to collected. It didn't end there. They also deducted a security deposit which they they have not refunded since July 2025. All attempts to get them refund has been unsuccessful. And now they will not take my calls. This was at the rental office at George Bush International Airport Houston.
