All good apart from cigarette smell!

Everything was good, professional and reassuring.
But, the tester , who was filling in for three weeks, while usual person was on holiday, smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke! Very uncomfortable in a small room with someone in close proximity testing my hearing.

Very likeable representative

Very likeable representative , put me at my ease , explained fully what to expect . Described the various hearing aids available and their ease of use . Performed the various hearing tests in comfort , explained each level fully . Didn’t try to ‘sell’ any particular type of device . Left me fully understanding each device and costs . Very useful meeting , now just need to discuss with my daughter which device suits me for my needs . A very instructive and informative session with your representative. , well trained and polite young man. Relaxing environment too .

Extensive ear test

Honest Hearing Appraisal

My experience was good, but my appointment was late by about half an hour due to prior appointments running late. The audiologist was very nice and helpful. It turned out I didn’t need a hearing aid after all, although members of my family would have sworn that I was a bit deaf. It was good to know that nobody tried to sell me a hearing aid when I actually didn’t need one. I was advised to have a follow up check up appointment in six months’ time, just to monitor my hearing situation.

Customer Service - What Customer Service?

So disappointing that a company do not return a telephone call when undertaken to do so - Windsor, Berks branch.
If this is a reflection of theircustomer service service, then best to avoid as I have now done

I was very angry because I was lied to…

I was very angry because I was lied to when I booked my appointment. I was told that the hearing aids would be £350 per ear.
At the appointment I was first asked “ what are you expecting from your hearing aids?”
I could not believe I was asked this question 🤣🤣
I was then given different quotes and the hearing aides for level of hearing I need was £5600😱😱
I told them they should be honest with people when booking the hearing test and not lie and say they cost £360 per ear!
I did not fall for their selling tactics ! And I will certainly not recommend this company but have told many of my clients to AVOID this company!

When appointments are booked, we explain that hearing aids start from £350 per aid. That is the price of our entry-level technology. However, the exact type of hearing aid that would be suitable always depends on each person’s individual hearing loss.

Following a full hearing assessment, we can only recommend devices that will properly support the level of loss identified. It wouldn’t be right for us to provide a lower-level pair at the starting price if we know they wouldn’t give you the clarity and benefit you need. Our goal is always long-term improvement and satisfaction — not simply matching a price point.

The question about what you expect from your hearing aids is something we ask everyone. It helps us understand your lifestyle, the situations you struggle with most, and what really matters to you day-to-day. That way, any recommendation is tailored to you personally rather than being a one-size-fits-all approach.

We’re sorry if this wasn’t explained clearly enough at the time of booking, and we genuinely appreciate you raising your concerns. Feedback like this helps us reflect and improve how we communicate.

Disappointed.

The staff at Amplifon in Cambridge are polite and helpful. I am disappointed with the hearing aids as I have had various issues of them not working. I have just had one repaired which cost me over £100. Now the other one has been sent away. For what I had to pay for them they have not been value for money.

Easier than I imagined.

The audiologist was very friendly and reassuring.
Obviously nobody wants to admit their hearing is failing as they get older, she made me feel confident and I felt that I could be open and honest with her.
I stated that I would like the aids that you could not see ( very vain I know) I have short hair, she showed me the type that I had in mind. She also stated that I had 60 days to try them, if I was not happy with them I would get a full refund.

Well done Amplifon

I have had a hearing problem for several years and have been under the NHS from the start.I have always had good service from the NHS who provided me with the best hearing aids they could prescribe and I was happy with these. Then I spotted an ad on my phone for a free hearing test and a trial so I decided to make an appointment. This turned out to be the best thing I could have done as I came out with two suberb hearing aids which have improved my hearing beyond my wildest expectations. The technician was excellent, friendly and informative taking me through the whole process and explaining all the options which were available. Yes it cost me money but the improvement was worth every penny. I can now hear my wife in the kitchen, have the TV at a fairly quiet volume and hear what is being said in crowded environments. I left their premises with a pair of digital hearing aids on a weeks free trial, and an appointment for the following week. Amplifon's service was top drawer and I would recommend them without reservation.
