Just sold my home through Andrew Craig
Just sold my home through Andrew Craig, had amazing service from Michelle and Beth which ensured the sale went through really smoothly despite issues with solicitors. Great service and would defo recommend! Thank you!
Letting out my home…
I was worried about letting out my home but Cara and the team at SS made it so simple and stress free. They were really knowledgeable in all aspects of legislation and found me a tenant in no time. I opted for their full managed service as I have no doubt they have the skill needed to manage my tenant and property in a way I couldn't
First Class Service throughout - Thank You to everyone at Andrew Craig who helped.
Seamless process from start to finish!
We arranged our mortgage through Chelsey at Andrew Craig, she has been incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, she is patient and very friendly which was so important for us as first time buyers. She always made time for us to meet and discuss any queries we had and as a result we have been able to make properly informed decisions. An amazing mortgage advisor, who is very thorough and efficient!
Fantastic Service in all aspects
Fantastic Service in all aspects
I have used Andrew Craig to buy, rent and arrange my mortgage and in every area they have excelled in guiding me. Customer service and knowledge is first class. I would highly recommend their services to anyone
Incredibly helpful and knowledgable.
Landlord Experience of "Property Management"
Landlord - happy enough to take a percentage of the monthly property rent, for minimal to no work... Money for nothing. Paid for "their fully property managed package" (whatever that is) and they returned the property to us in an in-rentable state, as they did not even bother to inspect it during the tenancy. Save your money and rent your property yourself or use a reputable letting agent.
Based on other reviews it appears they don't provide a half decent service to tenants either - disgraceful, no wonder landlords have a bad reputation. Avoid these crooks.
Horrendous from day 1 - AVOID
Horrendous from day 1, until we moved out 2 years later (rented property).
We viewed the property at the end of the first lockdown in 2020, the house was in a terrible state from previous tenants and the garden fence had already fallen over. The carpets were horrendous and were literally black from dog dirt and smelled disgusting and had holes from a previous sofa.
Debbie was present when we viewed the house and told us the house would be cleaned before we moved in and that the fence would also be fixed. There was also an offer of 1 months free rent which would have been a great help. Due to these promises and the offer, we paid the deposit and completed paperwork.
Once this was completed were then told the 1 month free rent offer was no longer an option but gave us an option to back out of the agreement (which we now totally wish we had done).
1 week later and we collected the keys from their offices and when we entered the house nothing had changed. The dog stained carpets hadn’t been touched and there were dog hairs everywhere throughout the house and the smell was disgusting. We complained and Denise then replied and denied anyone saying anything about the house getting cleaned or the fence being fixed. They did then send out a cleaning company to clean the 1 carpet (despite the whole house being stained with dirt and smells).
During the viewing we asked a generic question if the living room carpet could be replaced but never said we would do it, it was this that they used as an excuse for nothing being done.
There were no light bulbs in the house (which wasn’t an issue, we went and bought some) to which we found additional issues. The lights in the living room constantly had power to them and none of the switches worked to turn them off.
We tried getting out of the contract but were told we would have to keep paying until someone else moved in… Despite more lies from Denise saying an inventory had been completed by them, they waited until we submitted one before admitting one had not been done, but told us to take plenty of pictures.
We had countless problems throughout the tenancy and they were useless at getting anything fixed. 2 years later and we’ve thankfully been in a position to buy our first house and it’s safe to say the fence still hadn’t been fixed.
Even after moving out we’ve had contractors ringing us for repairs (the fence) as they forgot we not longer lived there so past on our details.
The windows aren’t sealed properly and the wind whistles through and blows the curtains as if the window was open.
They have put the property back up for rent and have had the audacity to increase the rent by £110/month.
I cannot explain enough, do not use Andrew Craig for any of their services, they’re liars and I promise you will regret it.
Complete failure of communication!
We booked an appointment to view a property in Dunston through Andrew Craig, we went there to find that the Tennant won't let us in as, Andrew Craig failed to liaise with the vendor! Andrew Craig never apologized for that!
They then asked us to accept the asking price first then to show them proofs of funds before even we see the property!!
Never seen such a failed unpleasant estate agent!
Outstanding
Thank you Andrew Craig for an outstanding service. My thanks go especially to Andrea Basham from the South Shields office for her wonderful advice and support throughout. She really went above and beyond and I cannot thank her enough. An amazing service, I'd recommend 100%.
Avoid, go elsewhere.
They don't return your calls, make excuses when you chase them up and also make false statements to try and cover there inefficiencies.
Shocking customer service
Made an appointment to view a commercial property for rent. They rang 3 hours before the viewing time to cancel the appointment. No reason for cancellation other then there diary’s are full. Rang back and spoke to manager who arranged fir a viewing an hour later with another employee but was advised she would no nothing about property and any questions would have to go back to then. View property which as it’s currently set up is no good for my business so rang low fell branch to ask questions I’ve rang 4 times in a week and Jeff messages and my calls havnt been returned, finally lost it with them yesterday after being told my offer had been rejected “she thinks” I asked her what’s been rejected abd she couldn’t answer me and said she would get David to ring me today, he hadn’t rang me back the previous 4 times so didn’t hold up
Much hope this time, I rang them back at 3.30pm as it looked as thought I wasn’t going to get the call back to be told he wasn’t going to ring me as the offer had been rejected so nothing to ring me back about again. I asked what had been rejected as she couldn’t tell me yesterday but after looking at the hike today she could. So I asked her if my offer had been rejected are you not going to contact me to tell me and maybe ask if I Wanted to put in a different offer which she couldn’t answer. I told her I’ve never dealt with such unprofessional service before and no wonder this guys property is still empty if this is the way they treat prospective clients. I would never ever use this company to sell or rent out a property so unprofessional having to chase them for answers which they were clearly not going to pass on. I asked got babe and address of person to make a formal complaint to and was told yesterday it had to be emailed to me, I asked them to email
It to me and im still waiting. Shocking customer service.
Fantastic team at all Andrew Craig…
Fantastic team at all Andrew Craig branches, excellent communication, proactive, speedy and keep all parties in the loop! Excellent rapport and relationship with each of the sales progression team members makes the partnership I have with them in moving transactions forward smoothly and efficiently! I recommend 100%
Rental
Dealt with them recently for a property rental which we have just moved into. Victoria who was dealing with it for us was lovely and although we waited a little while for things to finalise due to external factors and legal documents that were needed, she was very efficient and patient with me constantly ringing for an update and we had a good experience.
Can't follow simple instructions
Would genuinely give them negative stars if it was possible.
Sent them a request to view a house, told them when I was available and to contact via email as I can't use my phone while at work.
So I received a phone call with a voicemail asking me when I was available, and then recieved an email with the same question.
I was then signed up to property alerts which I did not consent to, I asked to be removed and then was asked for my preferences to update the search results. So I asked again to be removed referencing my previous request, and was told that I would be removed.
So I then received 3 more property alerts and responded to say I had asked to be removed and I was no longer interested in dealing with them, and asked them to remove my details from their database.
I then recieved a marketing email about the value of my house to which I again replied to say I had not requested these emails so to take me off the list.
Then I got ANOTHER email telling me they were trying to contact the seller of the property I asked to view and checking if the alerts had stopped.
I told them AGAIN to stop contacting me and that I had reported them for a GDPR breach since they were sending me unsolicitated emails.
After this, I recieved another phone call, with a voicemail asking me to contact in regards to the viewing.
Tl;dr, absolutely useless, fine with harrassing people and breaking regulations, and can't follow simple instructions. DO NOT USE THEM.
The worst letting agent in Sunderland
The worst letting agent in Sunderland. Very unprofessional and they try anything to withhold money back from your deposit, have tried numerous times to do so, terrible customer service and rude staff. They facilitate the landlord trying to get as much money as they can. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
