Didn't even want to give 1 star. The company are thieves. They have stolen my money and have not responded to any messages. Wish I would have read the reviews first before purchasing.

As with many reviewers below I placed and paid for an order (happily only a tile sample) which did not arrive. Multiple requests for a refund - all ignored.

My experience, with others, suggests pure dishonesty by the owner of this company.

Be very careful, the owner of Appleby tiles is also the owner of Mybrickwall which has just been taken offline with a lot of money owed to customers
Kept taking orders and payments, without dispatching goods.
Searching the web, it looks like both companies just charged a lot more (almost double), then ordered from other suppliers, but now the money has gone he can't do this and retains no stock to send to customer

Scam company? Ordered a full size tile sample which you obviously have to pay for....not received...no response to any messages or emails. They don't provide a telephone number to call them.
Quite simply don't take the chance with this company. Thank god it wasn't a large order. One star is generous for rating this company.

EDIT: Having looked into the owner of this company after reading one of the reviews the owner Steven Appleby has a history of owning companies and dissolving them. Just look up 'Steven Di Mateo Appleby' on companies house you will see how many companies he has been involved with and is currently involved, with accounts overdue for Applebys Tiles, The Pattern Tile Company, and My Brick Wall currently. Also owns Koppestone.co.uk.....although managed to actually do the accounts for that one.

Do yourself a favour and don't even bother using them.

Rubbish l am still waiting for my sample tile, ordered last year still not arrived!

if i could give minus stars i would. the poorest customer service ever - non existent. we ordered & paid for tiles in september - nothing! no tiles, no refund, no communication. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Ordered a sample tile 7th December 2022. Not received, no response to two emails. Website states that a sample tile should be received within 5 days. I have tried the webchat facility numerous times during the specified availability times and it is never working. Don't need the tile now so require a refund. Don't need to be giving out £3.44 for nothing.

We ordered 35 boxes of tiles, had to chase for delivery and once delivered were 14 boxes less than ordered. We are now 3 weeks later and after numerous emails have not had any kind of explanation. The company still owe us 14 boxes or at least need to return approximately £500. We have been ignored and as a result have had to try to order from elsewhere in order to complete work started. They are a disgrace and should be closed down as a result with full refunds to all existing customers.

MDs mobile number used for business in case you are struggling with comms.Sadly i have to give 1 star to mobilise this review. It took two months to settle. At one point they had £5k and the tiles. It was a frustrating, worrying, insane period of stress and worry. I now do now have my money back, tick. However given no numbers found were ever answered… by chance i did get the MDs mobile number which might not be in service much longer. Steven Appleby has many different companies. Check Companies House. In my opinion, he should be struck off for many reasons, one being, he appears to rely on the assumption we are all morons.Anyway i digress, gained by fair means his business mob no is 07808 04005. Please enjoy communication whilst it lasts.

Ordered a sample tile. Took payment and didn’t post. Nothing more than a con artist. Lots of people being ripped off by this so called company. Avoid at all costs. You should be able to review without having to give a star. No star for this con artist.

I ordered a tile sample on 7th October and paid £12.54, nothing has arrived apart from an email saying I hope you like your tiles. No answer to telephone 03339004537, no answer to emails and no answer to non existent ‘live chat’

Ordered my product three weeks ago haven't even confirmed it with me very very poor service

AVOID AVOID AVOID. We purchased via The Pattern Tile Company (owned by the same person). No update on order, no response to emails and no way of calling as phone cuts off. We have gone via our bank who are arranging a scam investigation to recoup our funds.

Ordered over £300 worth of tiles on 21 September. No tiles have arrived as yet and I’ve now emailed the company 5 times over the past week to get an update on my order. I’ve not received any response and there is no live chat available and no phone number.
I am now assuming the company has gone under but is still taking peoples money for online orders with no intention of sending them their order.
Please avoid this company at all costs as I do not believe their website is legitimate.

This company has had £300 of my money for weeks now and it is IMPOSSIBLE to contact them. I have emailed, called, tried online chat (never available!) Used Facebook Messenger all to no avail. I will be raising a complaint with my credit card company - maybe they can get hold of them.

I am happy with my tiles received from Appleby's, however, I am simply reviewing to say that their communication over delivery was not great overall. I did manage to communicate via chat/messenger and email with someone to let them know preferred delivery times, however, no confirmation on when they would be dispatched/delivered was ever received despite them assuring I would be sent one on two separate occasions. I ended up not being at home to receive the delivery twice because of the uncertainty and on the second time they were just left at my front door - not the worst situation but not what I would've liked. Please address this for future orders and other customers

Bought lovely tiles from this supplier, thought they were expensive but assumed that was the going rate for this type of tile. Was shocked to see the same tile with another supplier for less than half the price that Appleby's were charging!! I asked for a reasonable refund and they gave me 10% of the full amount I paid, what a joke. Very upset especially when you've been saving up for ages to do work on the house.

So glad we found this company ! Fast delivery by a very friendly delivery man ! Tiles super easy to install - even for my husband who is not big on DIY ! They look fantastic. We have so many comments on them. Will definitely be ordering again.

Order#7124. Extremely pleased with our green “ Victorian Joust “ floor tiles..... they make the floor area appear larger and would easily suit a kitchen, hall, conservatory or bathroom I think.
The delivery from Applebys was smooth and on time. Good all round experience.

Delighted with the high quality of my Vibrant Retro tiles - fantastic selection of patterns and great service from Applebys .
