Athens Car Rental - ACR Reviews 

We hired a car on line with ACR to travel around main land Greece for about 10 days. We booked on line and paid a small deposit. We were met at Athens arrivals airport at the time agreed. After about 10 mins we were on our way. The car was a Fiat Tipo HB which performed without any issues on the many kilometres we travelled. It wasn't new, but in very good condition. Contact with the company was via email and they were very quick in responding. We returned the car to Athens international departures airport, and they had no issue with me changing the time to arrive 30 mins later. We were met by the ACR guy, and after a quick check, we were all done. No issues, no dramas and great to deal with. Next time we go to Athens we will definitely call ACR.

Great customer service and value - ACR sets the standard for car rentals. Other car rentals I've tried don't come close.

Amazing car rental company it was easy to pick up and return the staff are amazing and friendly the car was great the prices are good we had a wonderful experience I have nothing bad to say about this company I would definitely rent a car from them again

Used ACR this summer in Greece and it was a excellent experience. They were very responsive prior to arriving via email and everything worked out as planned.

Fantastic experience with ACR on a family trip. Excellent personal customer service and very pleasant staff. Very flexible as we were running a bit late. Picking up and dropping off was really efficient and most importantly there was no unpleasant hard sell of extras like you get with the big companies. Great and very new car and good value pricing too. For the first time ever, hiring a car turned out to be a pleasant experience! Highly recommended.

Best car rental in Greece without a doubt!

This was my second experience with ACR, and both times it has been a pleasure. Great service with easy and quick car pick-up/return at the airport, and I would never consider another car rental, when I visit Greece.

Totally five star service. At last a trustworthy car rental company! I've had poor service and have been ripped off previously by some supposedly 'big name' car hire companies; deposit not returned and claims of damage I've caused. ACR however were low cost, the car in good condition, the staff friendly and very helpful and I had no issue whatsoever.

I managed to pick up a parking fine in Athens (my own stupidity). I couldn't find out how to pay it but the staff at ACR said to bring them the ticket when I drop the car off, I paid them the fine and they sorted it for me in a few moments.

Collection and return from outside the arrivals/departures door at Athens airport couldn't have been easier.

So, in conclusion, I thoroughly recommend ACR!

If you hire a car from Athens Car Rentals, who appear to have good reviews, make a note of their emergency number before you leave home and keep it handy. I suggest in your phone contacts.
Why? Because when one is in an emergency situation and stressed the problems begin. My husband waited an hour at Athens Airport at night, to see a sign with his name on it being held by a member of their staff. He tried to contact the company. Their message says the office is closed...then there is a pause....then the speaker gives the emergency number 0030 6920 485485. That pause was the problem for my stressed husband. He cut the call when he heard the offices were closed! Having rung the company twice to make certain that there was a pause, I have now emailed Athens Car Rental suggesting that the speaker gives the emergency number first, then saying... but our office is open,,,....
Had my husband rung the emergency number he would have learnt that supposedly, there was a man with a sign waiting for him elsewhere in the airport!!
Of course a car was hired from another company!

Really good service. Great car - very new and everything works well. Price is reasonable. A huge plus: if you are already in Athens (not freshly arriving at the airport), you can pick up the car from Koropi Metro Station instead of from the airport, which saves you money traveling to and back from the airport (taking Metro costs less than two euros). Another big plus: the staff is very responsive via email! Very reliable, friendly, and professional throughout. I highly recommend renting from them instead of from impersonal international companies. I would rent from them again in future.

My experience with Athens Car rental was first class. They delivered the car to our hotel and picked it up again with a minimum of fuss. The car was clean and reliable. There was a small problem with the GPS system, but that was quickly sorted with a phone call. Should I be in Athens in the future, I will definitely be using Athens Car Rental again.

We were met right outside arrivals with the car and a friendly member of staff from the rental service. He messaged me on WhatsApp to let me know where he was so make sure you have WiFi/roaming turned on.
It took about ten minutes for the checks and filling in documents. So much better than having to get a shuttle to a rental agency!
The car itself was fine, a Seat Ibiza which was a bit rattly and the Aircon cover was broken but can't complain at all for the price.
Again we were met promptly at the airport to drop the car off which took two minutes for them to check and sign us off.
Would highly recommend!
